I think a better business plan for Advanced would be to follow the ATI Physical Therapy Business model.  Set up phony Management Service Agreements with all the Orthopedic and PCP doctors in the area, charge these groups large amounts of money for their "management services", put free employees in these practices, and then direct and drive patients to off site locations so the practices paying the service agreement in return to bill the physical therapy get screwed.  It would also be beneficial to kick back reimbursement money from insurance companies to the doctors that continue to order excessive therapy.  If this doesn't work, go visit Dr. Jimmy Johnson, DC in Wheaton.  He's an aspiring pharmacist turned Chiropractor who offered a ton of valuable information in his post.  It's surprising so many details were absorbed from spending the good majority of his days at Advanced looking out the window.  What's not surprising is he had a significant amount of time to dedicate to the post considering he himself has a grueling 4 day a week schedule.  His one hand massages are pretty amazing though!  Sounds like the ultimate "baller".

I get a call from here at least once a month if not every 2 weeks.  No one is ever on the other end.  I do wish they would just stop calling.  And I don't know where they got my number I've never been to an Advanced Physicians location.

An MD personally rubbed your back and did therapeutic ultrasound on you? Or did some high school kid dressed up in scrubs do it while the MD signed off on it?

So, they referred to their own MRI facility?

Do you work there?

I was a client of theirs for years, and ALWAYS had a MD treat me. Never was there any problem with my insurance claims, and in fact, after my insurance ran out, waived my fees. I was in miserable pain following a massive auto accident and I was treated, as well as my daughter, when I could barely walk. Now, I am doing extremely well, but they still call back periodically and check up on me. I was in the Naperville office, and they sent me to get an MRI in Crestwood when I was experiencing migraines, found something outside their expertise and had me get another doctor to be treated.

I've been getting the calls from them too.  The problem is that Advanced Physicians also does pre-employment drug screening for many companies.  I was sent there for a pre-employment screening by a major corporation when I accepted a job in 2010.  (Clean, thank you.  Worked for them for 2 years and just left in May for a better opportunity!!)  Now I'm forever on their "client" list so I can't even file a complaint about their frequent 'follow-up' calls trying to get me to come in for follow up therapy even though I never had any therapy of any kind from them.  The Clinic was dirty, had holes in the carpets and a bad smell.  The room where I had to leave my "sample" was a combined toilet, lab and break room for the staff!  There was food on the floor and on the counters all around the lab equipment.

I received a call from this number. I did not recognize the number and did not pick up. They did not leave a message. I hope they do not call me again. Nuisance. From the posts above, it looks like a dubious physicians' group. I am on the do-not-call list, so they should not be calling me.

Your story sounds sadly familiar. The owners, Dana Vallandigham and Richard Vallandigham rip off insurance companies with fraudulent claims, rip off their employees by not paying them for the hours they work, and they are over extended on their credit because they spend a lot of money on themselves trying to pretend they are ballers. Meanwhile, clinicians who work for them have to deal with dilapidated clinic equipment such as a broken-down and unstable X-ray machine with a worn out rubber door stop wedged in it to keep it in place. Dana Vallandigham bought herself a $200K+ convertable S-Class Mercedes and walks around the clinic wearing cheap polyester turquoise scrubs and $100K in tacky jewelry. Dana Vallandigham is a real one-woman clown show. Her much younger boytoy husband Chris Carter "works" at the clinic as a wealthy "manager/rehab tech". His duties usually involve showing up, hanging out in the billing department and surfing eBay for new sneakers and guns to add to his collections. Around noon time, he'll take a break to go work out at Lifetime Fitness for a couple of hours. Chris Carter eventually returns to finish up his grueling daily schedule of Internet sneaker shopping before calling it a day a few hours before the rest of the staff. He must finish early because he is so efficient.

Apparently, Advanced Physicians is having a tough time paying their bills because they have a couple of liens filed against them:

On top of that, after they harangue people into coming in for excessive, expensive, and unnecessary treatment, they sue their patients if the insurance denies the bogus insurance claims they submit to medical insurance companies. In Will County alone, Advanced Physicians has sued almost 30 of its former patients for thousands and thousands of dollars. See for yourself.

They called me earlier this week, and apparently this number was them too.  Someone called me and offered me a "free session" because I was a patient with them in the past.  I had never heard of them before.  She said she had my info and started telling me I "had Blue Cross as an insurance provider, correct?" to which I told her I no longer had it.  , She had other personal information about me, but I didn't give her any of my new info.  She told me I saw some doctor who I had never heard of, whose last name started with a Z.  She put me on hold for a few minutes to ask her coworkers to verify if I had seen that doctor and she told me that I had, in fact, seen that doctor last fall, on some date that I did not recall at all. I asked her what I supposedly saw this doctor for and she had to go ask her coworkers again for what the doctor supposedly saw me for and she came back and told me it was for an MRI.  I felt like she was fishing for information so I told her I had no idea of what they were talking about.  She said that it was at an office that wasn't even open anymore, which was a huge red flag, so I said no thanks to her offer and got off the phone.  I have never heard of Advanced Physicians before but now I feel like my identity has been compromised somehow.  SHADY!  All I can say is don't give these people ANY information because they seem incredibly untrustworthy!

This is a terrible company and if you want to NOT be taken seriously by the "techs" or so-called therapists, then by all means go to Advanced Physicians!
And their billing dept is worse.  They will call you multiple times a day!  At your work at your home, any number they can find.  I would not be surprised if they called my Mom to track me down.  The funny thing is, I have responded to them on a very regular basis, but they are relentless.  They advertise to help, but really it is all about the $$ for them.  I suggest to find another place, doctor, therapy, etc.  There are many others.  DO NOT GO TO ADVANCED PHYSICIANS!!!!  Be forewarned!!

Advanced Physicians Group is a company has a terrible reputation for perpetuating fraud. They run a chain of factory style physical therapy clinics in the Chicagoland area. They hire kids in high school to dress up in scrubs and perform the therapy on patients after receiving minimal on-the-job training while a low-salaried doctor directs traffic and the owners rake in millions by billing insurance companies. Advanced Physicians Group hires MD's that sign off of Medicare treatments they weren't even present for.

Every time they get flagged by a major health insurance carrier for improper billing practices, they simply register a new corporation with a slight permutation in their name "Advanced Physicians Physical Therapy", etc. to bypass detection of fraud.

On top of that, Advanced Physicians Group routinely violates labor laws by not paying overtime to their employees. If an employee works more than 40 hours a week, they take the extra hours and list it on the pay-stub as a "bonus" without paying time and a half as they are required to by law. Their employees don't speak up because they live in fear of the owners. It is a shame because the owners are wealthy and greedy beyond belief, yet they willfully engage in criminal activity to cheat their hard-working employees out of wages. Advanced Physicians Group is a criminal enterprise owned and operated by Dana and Richard Vallandigham... a belligerent sister and brother partnership of yet-to-be indited criminals based in Burr Ridge, Illinois that flagrantly violate the law at whim.

Their telemarketing machine still calls my house after my repeated requests that they stop.

Brandon... that is great that you have had a positive experience at one of their many locations.  But what does anything you said have to do with the fact that Advanced Physicians routinely commits FCC violations by hiring a warehouse full of telemarketers to place countless unwanted harassing calls to unwitting victims, the fact that they routinely commit insurance fraud, and the fact that they routinely abuse and rip off their employees?  This is a site to report and identify unwanted harassing telemarketing phone calls.

As far as them agreeing to provide expensive medical care and expensive diagnostic testing while waiting for your lawsuit settlement... that is standard procedure in any injury case.  Don't kid yourself that they are doing anything extraordinary.  You must have a good legal case, because if you didn't, the kind and caring Advanced Physicians would boot you out the door and not think twice about it.  If you win your case, they are going to make a ton of money off of you while you're herded around simultaneously with 20 other patients like cattle.

If (God forbid) your case were to take an unfavorable legal turn, just watch how fast they discharge you and stop being so "charitable".  Then they'll send you a huge bill.  If you don't believe me, ask them during your next visit if they will guarantee in writing that they will not bill you for all of your treatment if you ultimately lose your legal case.  I bet they will not.  They will give you a bunch of double talk.  I've seen it with my own eyes.  Get back to me on that.

You better make sure you have a rock-solid case, and that the responsible party for your injuries has the ability to pay.  If not, you had better be careful, because you will end up holding the bag for the tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills you are racking up at Advanced Physicians.  You will have to declare bankruptcy if you cannot afford to pay your debt to Dana Vallandigham (the chiropractor who owns Advanced Physicians) while she walks around in her daily tacky getup of $100K worth of jewelry, drives around in her $300K car, hires maids and nannies to raise her kids and tend to her Burr Ridge mansion and jet sets around the world.  The people of Advanced Physicians are manipulators, frauds, completely fake, and all about dollar signs.

I am a former employee who has watched with my own eyes as Dana Vallandigham cursed-out, denigrated, and threatened employees because they treated victims of negligence resulting in injuries with cases that were dragging on for too long.  She said "No, no, no, no, no!!!  Discharge that f****ng patient!  I want them off the f****ng books!  Don't f****ng argue with me!  I'm over it!"  Dana openly prides herself on "dropping F-bombs".

Mark my words.  See if they will give you that guarantee in writing that they won't come after you for the money if your legal case has an unfavorable outcome.  If they won't do that, then run.

I have been getting physical therapy, MRI's, EMG's and all sorts of other treatment after being the victim of a battery.  They have helped me in a HUGE way by treating me and holding all the billing to wait for my lawsuit to settle.  They have been excellent so far and I can't believe this many people are having bad experiences with them.  The doctors have been great, the therapists are great as well as college educated in physical therapy.  I don't know where people are getting this information from, but I feel the exact opposite and I speak from personal experience with them.

I received a call from 815-306-1104 and told the person calling that I was on the Do-Not-Call Registry and I wish to not get any more calls from them and the guy said: "I don't care man, it don't matter!" of course he hung up and when I called back it was a generic voice mail.

I hope complaints to Lisa Madigans office can address this issue
