Gosh, I thought this was a discussion about receiving calls from 815-687-8089. Looks like it's now a place to talk about suicide. I lost a brother through suicide, but I really don't care what some stranger wishes on another stranger.
I got a call today and have had calls in the past from this number. I do not answer and they do not leave a message. Caller ID says the call is from Woodstock, IL

Certainly it works.  It works for legitimate businesses--not for crooks.  There's no way to gather all the scammer numbers--they keep changing them.  Quit criticizing something you don't understand.

You should get together with the other guy.  The comment was offensive and decent people have the right to make their opinion known as much as he does.  All we're talking about are phone calls---not murder or suicide.  Try being civil.

There are tons of other places on the internet to argue and disagree about a persons comment, as well as posting comments like that, this is not that site! Suck it up and move on!  As for the people who call me from this number 815-687-8089, if they keep calling you just answer the phone saying something like..... Thank you for calling the law firm of Atkins and Harold, this is Agent Davis speaking how can I help you?....if they don't hang up and ask for someone just say hold on and yell for Officer "who ever they asked for"  they will hang up then!!!  It worked for me!!! =)

Called me at 8am on a Saturday! Woke up the whole house.

Those who calling from this number 8156878089, Must be stopped from using the controlled government signals and spectrum from cheating, harassing citizens..they must be put in jail...

I received a call from this number today.  The guy I spoke with asked for a donation for both police and fire departments.  In years past I would actually donate money until I found out that these guys are scammers.  Even the companies that do legit fundraising keep the lion's share of the money you give for themselves.  

If you really want to help out your local police or fire departments give their local benevolent association a call and ask how you can help directly.

The DNC list DOES work - for legitimate companies.  However, the list can't magically stop illegitimate companies and scammers from calling.

This number called asking for me by first name and saying something about calling from Will County Police Division. I've been harassed before for asking to be placed on a do not call list so I just hung up.

Called at 8:15 a.m. on a Saturday morning.  When I picked up, a little music played and then got a hang up.  Probably checking for a valid phone number but this is so rude.  I would never buy or give anything to a company or charity like this!  Tried to call back but no one answers.  Only listing I can find says RCN industries in Woodstock, IL.  How do we stop these intruders?  Do not call list doesn't seem to matter.  This is not the first call from this number.

SCAM  They claim to be a police organization but that is BOGUS - Report them to the Will County Sheriff because the Trade Commission Do-Not-Call list does not work!

We don't know anyone from Woodstock & I was never at any Woodstocks but I digress! This time they called at 8:20 PM on 6/26/13 CT on a Landline. DNC & Unlisted means nothing.

Caller claimed he was from Fraternal Order of Police #5.  I could hear music in the background.  When I mentioned we contribute to only one Foundation as our daughter is disabled, he hung up the phone.  Please pass this on to someone who can stop these scammers

Caller claims to be from the "Will County Police Athletic Association" wanting money for "youth programs". I spoke to 2 seperate Will County officers and they both said this is a scam. My next call will be to the Sheriff himself.

This number keeps calling...first time they called this late at night.  Called asked for Edward told them no such person. Asked when he will be home I said no such person; asked for head of household...told them he went to Venus. Caller said they will call back; but this caller would say who he was or the company name. Told him to take phone number off list and he wouldnt unless he spoke with Edward.  After a few minutes back and forth....told him a few choice words and I hung up.  I called the number and it just keeps ringing.  I am on the do not call list..guess this doesnt apply?

So I'm a moron because I was offended at a suicide comment?  If you are ever unfortunate enough to lose a loved one to suicide, I hope you'll feel differently.  Of course the original callers are morons/scammers, but I certainly have a right to be offended by an inappropriate comment (or as you put it, "commit").  Oy!

The Frauds had their chance to change but they don't want to change or quit their crap. No legit charity or company will harass, stalk, threaten or try to extort money out of people, period.

They do need to cut it out, but let's not get literal.

I wasn't talking about the scam operation.I was talking about suicide. Never lose hope in life. Scammers who rip people off and harass/extort others must be caught.

I'd hardly call this scam operation hope.
