Auto message said debit card inactivated. Press 1 to have security department reactivate.
I pressed '1' and the called sounded like it was transferring to a foreign location.
This is a scam. But why can't phone companies control their caller IDs?

phishing call on my cell phone from National First Credit - I am on the Do Not Call list - they have no right to call and the only debit card I have is wit one of the "major" banks

Just got the same call.. looked it up and dialed the number back, it went to Jim's truck repair or something... Definitely scam.

Received message on our A/M, as noted, from a very poor computerized "voice" claiming to be calling from "National First Credit Union" and regretting to inform me that my Debit card has been frozen due to an unfortunate billing error and that I need to call "their security center" and "press 1" to get "my card" unlocked or unfrozen .... Never heard of them. It would certainly appear to be a phone "phishing" scam.

Got a call saying that it's a message from National Credit Union and that my account is being blocked, and I need to press 1.... I hung up. Definitely a scam. Don't even have an account there...

Missed the call last night, 7:07pm PDT, no message. Called the number back and got the Truck Repair business. Too bad this scam is screwing up a legitimate business' operations. Hope the b*****ds get caught.

Just got call at 11 pm; didn't answer and they didn't leave message. Came online to find out where 815 area code is and found this info. I also have Verizon account; maybe 'a' is onto something.

Received a call from this number. I think they said "Seattle Credit Union". Asking to unlock a debit card. We don't have an account from a CR that sounds anything like that name.

Just received same call at 3:27 P.M. EST from a VERY BAD computer voice.... telling me the same message as everyone else. Then asked me to press 1 to get my debit card reactivated.
I did not press any numbers and the call disconnected.
Darn scammers !!!!

I received a call from this number today. I was very leery about entering my information prompted by the automated system due to fear of identity theft. I feel if they were really calling from a legitimate bank that I do business with, they would already have my information. I was also very suspicious because there was not an option to talk to customer service representative. I hung up immediately.

I just the call at 3am in Boston. I was suspicious and hung up and dialed the number back and got a answering machine to a legitimate towing business explaining the problem.

Husband just received the same call on cell phone also stating they were a credit union. What the heck are spoof cards and don't people have better things to do with their time.
