I keep getting calls from this number tellin gme they are from a law office.  They have my address and my social.  They say I am a criminal and will be arrested at work.  I took money out on a payday loan a long time ago and paid back more than I borrowed.  Everytime these people call it is a new officer and a different number to call back.  Should I be worried?

I keep getting call from this number talking about some legal action. I know that this is a scam. They are also calling from 916-395-0000 and all zero these people have heavy accent and all say the same thing. This is crazy how do they get our information.

Another number from these scammers.  I called back this early before 7:30ampst. after 2 calls 760-262-0975, also calls from 530-419-1520, now 815-834-0674 telling me to call back 786-752-9135.  All basically same message as all others and postings.  Legal action have attorney call blah, blah blah. I am so tired of this can't something be done.  All same heavy Middle Eastern accent same sounding person different names all the time.  Unbelievable!!

This number 1-815-834-0674 called me and would not give me their name. They told me that I owe money to them. Then one guy got upset with me because I kept asking for a bill to be mailed to me if I owe you. I got transfered to another supervisor and when I asked him for a bill he told me I will go to jail for 3 months because I owe HIM money. I told him that I will contact the police so stay on the phone. I could hear him belittle me over the phone. So I called the police and the office that I talked to said he got a call from Officer Brown or Black that told him he owes money. He told me that if they call again don't answer it and call the police and they will call them.

Same as all the others.  Called back asked what this was about.  Was told it was for a debt I wasn't repaying.  I asked for what company.  Was told it was for Fast Cash Loans.  I told him I had never received funds from Fast Cash Loans (which I haven't).  He then told me this was a parent company and an undisclosed company was the actual company and said it was for $300 (I haven't had a loan in any amount let alone $300).  I asked for proof to be mailed to me because I had never received a loan in that amount deposited to my account.  He said they couldn't do that, that it was impossible to do that.  I told him that if it was an actual debt that they should happily supply me with proof.  He said they had proof but couldn't give it to me.  I told him that this sounded like a scam to me.  He got beligerent.  "You think this is a SCAM" he shouted.  He started to threaten me with calling people, my losing my job, police coming to my house.  I laughed and told him "You know that really isn't how it works in this country"  told him to not call again, to only contact me through mail if this is a legitimate debt.  Then said thank you and hung up.

I got the same call this morning on my way to work (way to start a day), saying that i have a legal lawsuit against me and my SSN.  So i said what was it for?  & he told me for a deposit that was made into my account by electronic funds transfer.  I said, the only thing that gets transfered into my account is my payroll, and i will contact the police with your phone number.  He started getting all flustered, and i said, thank you for calling and hung up..

I missed a call a few days ago with a very threatening message stating they had my Social and would take legal action if I or my attorney did not call back right away.  It sounded similiar to the message the guy above me referenced.  The indian guy threatened me several times in the message and then said If I dont call all he can do is wish me luck because express legal action will come for me.

I didnt call the guy back, but then I recieved 5 calls back to back while in a meeting one morning and I couldnt pick up.  Im undecided if Im going to call them.

If its a scam, they're not very good at it.  If its a legit debt collection (I do have debt), then they are also not very good at it.  And the messages go against the law in that they threaten and intimidate.

If I get another call, Ill follow up with what I learn.

I Love it I just recieved this identical message today January 19, 2011 from a Gary Johnson. Unreal..

Wow!  Got two calls this morning from an Indian guy who started singing on the phone!!!  WTH?  Don't they have anything better to do???  Isn't there some law against this?  What's the point of posting online about it if nothing is going to be done?  I'm tired of this number popping up on my caller ID!!!!

They called again....said he was going to transfer me and when he came back on he gave me a different name when it was clearly him.  Funny.  Said I would have my friend who is an Attorney for the State of CA give him a call and gave me the 646 657 3057.  Called that and does not seem to be a good number.

This message is intended to contact Ife ***.  As soon as you receive the message I need you or your attorney of record to call me back.  The case in hand is actually (or action) time sensitive.  My name is David Williams from Financial Crime (inaudible) investigation.  The hot line to my extension (I think-heavy accent) is 646 657 3057.  I repeat, 646 657 3057.  Dont disregard this message, do call me back.  Now if you dont call me or I dont hear from an attorney either, the only thing I can do is wish you a good luck as the situation unfolds on you, have a nice day, bye bye.

I think this is also the company that has hung up on me when I have answered.

I got the exact same call, (Officer Charlie Brown) <- come on, for real?!!! from the exact same number. I just hung up, I figured if it was a legit lawsuit there would be officers at my door and lawyer letters in the mail.

I keep getting calls from this number - Officer Charlie Brown saying I owe money to some company called USA Fast Cash and I have never taken out money from this place and they keep harrassing me.  They only call on Friday.  I am reporting to the police.

I will take leagal actions if this number continues to call me
