call was not answered.  caller did not leave message.  caller is lame.

Got this call, as well.  Next time they call, I'm just going to mess with them, sometimes that's how I get my kicks.  As long as I'm not using anytime minutes...

called and a tape started running: Hi, My name is Sandy from the Mortgage Bank...jadejadejadejade..

the same company is using a sec number:858-297-0282

2nd time they have called my cell phone number, which is unlisted.  This should be illegal!!!!

how can I report this number.  I think it is illegal for them to call cell phones at this point

same d+++ mortgage company. This time Caller ID says Illinois. Called back and input my number to be removed. Did this a couple weeks ago when they were calling me from another state. i think they just jump states!

This company called my cell phone and I have requested to be put on thie r do not call list! I do not give out my cell number! I feel harrased!!!

I find it amazing that the only websites that can reverse lookup this phone number are sites that say they find the information, but you must pay to get that information (company name, address, etc.). None of the free sites or other sites that I would use to reverse lookup the number can find it.

I just got a call from 815-960-0989. It said Leaf River, IL on the caller ID.  I too get a call from these guys once a day and at strange, inconvenient hours.  When I answer, the isnt anyone there, just dead air.  I did a Google search on the number and I found this site. Thanks to you all, I called the number back and got my number on their "do not call list".  We shall see if they stop.  It took me 4 tries to call them and get my number registered... so keep trying.

Like many on this site, I got a call to my business phone when I wasn't in.  I checked the caller Id and the call was from 815-960-0989.  Like a fool, I decided to call them back.  To make matters worse, it appears that Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum is not really going to do much about this.  I say this because I called his office and discovered that the infrastructure he has set up for consumer complaints is junk.  Of course, no one answers when you call, and then they put you on hold for a while, and that is all to be expected.  But then their system refuses to allow you to stay on hold until someone actually picks up the phone.  They then force you to leave your name and phone number and they "promise" to call you back.  Well, the last thing I want when reporting telephone fraud is to have to pick up the phone from a number that I don't recognize!  McCollum should get his act together.
Actually, there is no reason to believe that this website (the one that you are currently visiting) is any better.  Go to their main page at http://800notes.com Do they tell you who they are, or are what their puprose is?  You might want to think twice before posting anything to this page.  DEFINITELY DO NOT post any personal information.

I can tell you what this website is.  This is a "google-style" website that makes its living off of selling advertising space to companies that hope you'll read their ads here and buy their devices like "unknown Id blockers".  That is why there is no name associated with this website.  They sell advertising space, and they convince you (and me) to post information about undesired phone calls.  But this is NOT a "watchdog" website.  They are not going to report this information to any government organization.  They are not collecting this information for any Senate Subcommittee, etc.  They just want you to post here so that you will read their ads and buy products from the people who are buying advertising space here.  Nothing more than that. In that sense, they are no better than the people who are calling you on the phone. I don't want to sound too paranoid, but there is a 50/50 chance that they are in collusion with the company that called you on the phone.
If you're visiting this site because you want to make sure that telemarketers no longer call you, you'll have to deal with your state's Attorney General.  I can't think of anything else that you can do.

called my cell phone at 1:13.  I answered, but the caller hung up.  I did a reverse look-up, however the information of origin was not available.  Just happened to do a google search of the number and found this!  Interesting!

Calls from this number on both my T-Mobile cell and my Vonage VOIP account. Listed on Vonage as "TN Removal Line."

Illegal call to my cell phone from this number consisted of a recorded message falsely claiming that my loan had been approved.  Hung up on them and made a note of the number in my "incoming" list, planning to report them to our state AG.  Found this while googling the number prior to filing the report.

Received unsolicited call today.  I did not take the call and the caller left a message.  To wit: If you are 18 yrs or older then and have a valid checking account then you can receive an unsecured Visa or Mastercard.  Caller stated to press "one' for more information or "nine" to be removed from their call list.  I did neither as I believe this is a scam to collect additional info or put you on another call list.  I am on the "do not call list".

I keep receiveing a call from this number. Ther person speaks spanish. I do not. They call once a day.

I received a voicemail on my cell phone from them because my phone was set on vibrate.  The beginning of the message was also cut off.  Something about a mortgage.  Not sure how they got my number either

Got automated call from Mortgage Ranch on my cellphone at a bad time.  I would like to strangle these people.

I answer the main line of a computer company and have received about 35 to 40 calls today (May 9th, 2007).  When I press "1" to speak with someone and tell them that I would like to be removed from their calling list, I am immediately hung up on.

Telemarketer, mortage co. of some sort, claimed to be from Illinois.  Called my cell phone.

Got a recording when I answered. I hung up and dialed the number back, an automated system offered to add my number to their do-not-call list which I did. The call came from Illinois and I am in SA. Don't know how they got my number...
