The automated voice told me my car's warranty was about to expire and press 1 for a "specialist" or 2 to disconnect.  I Pressed 1.  The line rang a no kidding 127 times before a "specialist" answered.  A male sounding voice asked for the make, model, and VIN of my car.  I asked him to tell me which one of my vehicles had a warranty that was ready to expire.  After a few seconds of awkward silence, he hung up on me...go figure...

I live on Oahu and received a call from this number while I was ditching work so I could go surfing.  I only looked this up because I was upset at them for unnecessarily making me nervous and giving me the "you're supposed to be at work and someone is on to you" feeling.  Now I'm only going to be able to enjoy it about 96% as much.  I hope this number gets cancelled.

Just got the call.I answered with " KELLY'S POOL ROOM .....SHOOT!! and i got the hang up " CLICK" awesome i won. Beat it parasites.

Bunch of Hawai'i citizens here I see, I used to live there, so I have an 808. Thse people are bugging me!

I think a suitable market solution would be a filter, whereby only people on a personal registry that you control can pass a filter and actually "call" you.

I've been receiving irritating calls from this number on 8/13, 8/14, 8/16, 8/20, and a whole bunch of times in July. I never answer and they continue to call.  Is there anything one can do to stop these harassing calls?  I've also been gettting numerous calls from these numbers:  406-758-2029 and 202-552-1332. Any idea?

Someone called twice from this no. yesterday at 12:40p and 3:24p.  I don't pick up phone calls from nos. I can't identify, and no voicemail was left.

Got a call from this number yesterday.  Apparently they've branched out- I'm on the East Coast.  Didn't pick up (never do when I don't recognize the number.)

i received several calls from this number but never answered it. they never left a message but i did search the area code online and found it to come from Illinois. my cell phone is from Hawaiian Telcom.

I received the same call. I pressed one and the person identified themselves as from Transamerica. I checked their website and I don't see any information for auto insurance. I doubt if they are from Transamerica, but I sent them an email to let them know that someone may be impersonating them.

Been getting repeated calls at different hours.  Usually i just hang up, but I did listen to it once and it was about expired auto warranty.

Same story as most. They have called and called everyday for about a month now. I also live in Hawaii. I get the call about my warranty expired. I'm so tired of them calling.

I got a call from this number as well - saying that my car warranty was about to be up (I am 2 years into a 7 year warranty).  When I spoke with a person, I asked if they were with Chrysler, and they stated that they were the underwriter for Chrysler.  When I asked if there was anyway to confirm that, he said he guessed I could look them up on the internet, and then he hung up.

I got the same call and they hung up on me to after getting a "specialist".  All I did was ask which car they were talking about.  This is a business, they didn't even know what company they were calling.  Thank goodness these fly by noght companies go out of business fast.

I live on Oahu and I just received a call from 815-960-1847 on Mon Aug 13 at 2:46pm.  I also received this call on Thursday Aug 09 2007 at 12:34pm and on Monday Aug 06 2007 at 9:47am.  I did not answer any of these calls as I did not recognize the number.  I have had my cell number for years now, first with Sprint and now with Verizon.  Todays call there was a message left (the previous two calls did not leave a message) that was cut off but it said something like press 1 for a quote or more options etc.  Sounded automated and after reading a bunch of letters from others I have to agree that this is a scam/automated telemarketing project.  I will call the BBB to try and get some pointers and get my number on a do-not-call list (even though that may not work).  Anyone have other suggestions?

These scammers have called me from this number 815-960-1847 and also 760-661-0489. I am so mad because I don't give my number out to anyone. It's just for me to have DSL internet. I also pay for call blocking of numbers I enter but I just found out it only works for 808 numbers. I called Hawaii Telecom to complain and they said that I can block the number but they have to enter it at their end. If your a Hawaii Telecom customer call the Nuisance Call Bureau at 643-7111 and tell them you want these numbers blocked. Of course you have to have Call Blocking as one of the features on your plan. Aloha.

Another Oahu call-ee here.  Been getting the call over the past week or so.  Called it back just a minute ago and gave the option to enter my ph # into their do not call list.  Have you all entered your # for it to be removed?

Got a call from this number tonight - my Caller ID identified it as "TN Removal Line".

I just got a call from 815 960 1847.  I didnt answer it either.  Let em call it really doesnt bother me.  If I dont want to talk I just dont pick it up.  See if you dont let them aggravate you .....I bet you they just give up......

I also have been receiving calls from 815-960-1847.  When I finally answered it a recording said my car insurance was expired and to press 1 to talk to a car insurance specialist.  When I got a person I asked what company it was but they hung up on me.

call today, "Your Car warranty has expired" auto message. Called them back fed them some bull, they bit. Telemarketing cr@p. Would not ID there company.

I just see it on my calller id.  My fax pics it up, so I never answer it.  This is the first time I was home for it so I knew the fax got it.

i work for an insurance company in hawaii.  Some of our customers are calling stating they've either paid their insurance to the number that called them and then they give me this number, or they call to ask why we're saying they're expiring because they think they're paid in full on the policy - and in fact they are.  This is a SCAM guys, be careful!!  Dont give your card info to any company that calls to you solicit a payment!  The larger insurance agencies like state farm, AIG, Progressive, usually wont call you with an automated recording that wants your CC# to take a payment.

Got a call claiming my auto warranty has expired.  I don't own a car

I got a call from this number about an hour ago.  B/c I was driving, I didn't pick up.  I thought I'd check online to see if I could find out the number.  Thanks to this site, I know now not to bother picking up.  

Right now though, it looks like several people from Hawai'i have been called. I have a HI number, but it's new.  I haven't given it out.

I never answered the call, as with any number that comes up that I do not recognize. My number is also on the " No call list" & I am getting sick & tired of telemarketers calling me on my cell number!!

Have been getting calls from this number for about a month now. When i pick up the recording of the "expired car insurance" comes on. Very very irratating.

I've gotten a call from this number 4-5 times now, additional phones on my account have also gotten called.  

they called my cell phone (sprint), is sprint giving out the numbers?
