Don't know who they are.  But got a call today from them after I called ATT UVerse Tech Support.  Didn't answer because I had asked ATT to text me instead.  Different fom what reps gave to me which were 8883411270 and 8777223755.  ATT Uverse site says 8002882020.  ATT CS process is VERY broken.  It can get RATHER frustrating before you find the right department and after repeated explanations.

I got a call from this number claiming it was someone from the high speed internet department informing me that they were working to turn my internet back on and it would take 5-7 days to process. I got really angry because I had not requested to have it turned off! They asked if there was a changed on my service and specifically asked about changing my social security number which I did and informed me that when a change is done that the account is closed and reopened and my DSL was turned off. Needless to say I was "upset"! And was informed she couldn't to anything I would have to call Customer Service for a complaint because she only worked in the high speed internet. We tried and discovered we were not turned off. I called the number back got a recording saying it is a non-working number for AT&T and to call 800-222-0300 which appears to be customer service for the long distance portion of the bill a recording said my could not be found - I called the regular # on my bill and she verified someone had put notes on my acct about calling me about th problem with the internet - said the system is set to do that when a change is made like a social security number to correct the internet account and there is a trouble ticket on my account it was supposed to go down on the 17th and is still up on the 20th because it is "stuck" in the system but that it will be going down and has to be turned back on. I am under contract not to have it turned off for 2 years or $200 fine. They said yes that is true if it shows on my bill they will credit it BUT in the mean time there is NOTHING that can be done to change the fact the internet is being turned off and restarted and it will happen.!!

Call from a lady saying she was Ms. Montgomery.  I called the second call-back number (936-558-7889).  A man answered.  I asked to speak to Ms. Montgomery.  The same lady with a thick southern accent came on the phone immediately.  She asked for my name.  I said I wouldn't give it to her, and asked for hers.  She said she was Ms. Montgomery, and asked if I was with ATT.  I told her I wasn't, and asked what she was doing.  She said that she left a message for ATT, and the lines must have been crossed and she left the message with the wrong person.  Totally bogus, in my opinion.

Got a call from this number twice in a row. Person left a message though. They were a representative with AT&T and left a call back number of (800)288-2020.
