i reported this number to my carrier

just received a call from this number 8/28/07 at 11:46am, with a recording in Spanish when I answered. I hung up, and it has not called back. it seems to be calling lots of people, from what I can tell from various posts on the web. What can they hope to accomplish?

I received the same call, in spanish, asking my name, credit card number, bank name, .........  one man said I won a trip to Mexico, and then passed the phone to a sweet talking lady who tried to get my bank information, etc.....    THIS IS A SCAM, they're out to rob you! Hang up immediately and report it to the FTC.

I just received a call from this number at 1159h, 29 August.  No one answered when I picked up.

Called me numerous times in Spanish, when I called them there was just an abrupt message that said they will get back to you later, then it goes nowhere.
anyone know who they are?

got this on Aug. 28th on personal cell.  also been getting wierd text messages on work cell.

I received 2 calls to my cell phone. It was a Spanish operator saying something about telphono- Mexico. I hung up on the call.
The next day the caller called me at my work office even in a new office location with a phone number only available to people at my work. The caller must have had my name to be able to get my new work number. I did fill in some online survey's a few days before the calls began. It started with Hola and then a bunch of Spanish words I could not understand.

Spanish speaking, sounds like telemarketing, beginning with "Hola." I have been hanging up.

I get calls from this number all the time.  I never answer and sometimes there is a message in Spanish, just like everyone else says, and sometime there is just no message at all.  It's getting quite annoying, as this is the only number I get spam phone calls from, and it's my cellphone.

I missed a call from 816 295 6182 at 5:45 pm Aug 30.
I returned the call today, the 31st, and heard an automated message 'This is a travel call, and we will call you back shortly.'

I called this number back and it said this is a travel call and for more details the number will call back.

same call once again today, after receiving it several times. the same recorded spanish voice as everyone else...

got a  call from them ...DO NOT CALL BACK I WAS IN PRISON AND HEARD OF PEOPLE WHO DO THIS ...  FOR THERE PRISON BUDDIES TO MAKE LONG DISTANCE CALLS FROM  SMUGGLED IN CELL PHONES

Just got a call and yes it is in spanish and on a cingular prepaid phone.

Got a call from this number late last night - also getting calls from 405 283 4549 (or sometimes unavailable) with the same rubbish.  They never leave a message.  Do not answer this as its some kind of scam.  They also never leave a message - I suggest letting numbers you do not recognize go to your voicemail and if its for real, you can call them back.  This is the ONLY annoying scam call I receive.

I've gotten many similiar calls from different numbers.

The one thing they all have in common is that I get them on my pre-paid Net10 cellphone.

Perhaps that's the common link?

CAll you local Police non emergency number to track this number....It seems to me that every one has the same issue as you...


It could be an international number that wants to scamm

CAll you local police and report this crime.....
They can track this number... OF what I heard is that when people call this number they ask to press 1 and thats for them to steal you cell phone number and cell it......

This number keeps calling, for the past three months... I can verify all of the data posted in these messages.  Never found anything else out.

I've received four calls from this number since the beginning of August.  The first time I picked up - it was a recording in Spanish.  I'm going to check further, as they must be up to no good.

Recieved the call, caller ID said the location was Blue Springs, MO.

I did not answer, they left no msg.
Luckily I can tell my phone connector to play a number not in service message.

I just got a call from this number, and a Spanish recording was playing when I answered. I pressed "1" hoping to get a human and find out what it was, but just got another recording in Spanish, so I hung up. Hope I don't hear from them again.

Got a call from this number today, got no voicemail so I called back, and when I called back it said the number was no longer in service.

I dealt with a Spanish-language website recently and I suspect they sold my phone number to whoever this is.  This in addition to another phone number that's been calling me, also speaking spanish.  I don't get ANY other calls from telemarketers.

Received a call from this number at 11:33 a.m.  I answered and there was a recording from a spanish speaking male.  I hung up right away.
