Claims a law suiet has been filed against me and they can help!! all crap i was told by work mates they got same call!! they claim to be from Missouri. and i am from MA.

I get at least 4 calls a day from them looking to speak to my father, when I say he is not available they hang yp, that was fine with me. Tonight they call and when I say he is not available, they tell me "maybe if he gets off his FAT A** and asnwer the phone" and them hung up on me.

Sheriffs Association wanted a donation for fallen deputies- told them no that Ozarks county sheriff needs more training with the way they dealt with my situation but that I was not going to help them.

Received a phone call from this number, they didn't leave a message. I called the number back and got a recording that said MO Sheriff's Association. Gave me hours of business and an 800 # to call back. Also said, they would call me back at a later time.

I think this might be a scam as I know that the MO Sheriff's Association's information was hacked at some point or another recently.

I got two in a row from this number. Same "Local Area Number" ...but 816 is not my area, no answer when i asked who was calling the first time, second went to answering service, and they left no message.

I got a call from this number....they said "M. ______" I said "yes" and they hung up?

Nov 16, 2010, Got a call from 816-295-6895 with a caller ID of:  Missouri Call, I Didn't answer it, and they left no msg on voicemail. I suspect robo call of some kind.

Keep getting calls from this number, but when I pick up, no one answers.  When I call them back, an automated message states the number is not in service.

This number is an automated service of the Missouri Sheriffs Association asking for contributions.

I called the number back after they did not leave a message and I got a prerecorded message from the Missouri Sherrif's association asking for money

It rings and when i answer they hang up....so very annoying.

Call the number back it will give you an 800 number to call and there will be a prompt to have your number removed

They'll ask for money, and they'll say they prefer payment by credit card.  Who's stupid enough to give out their credit card number over the phone to someone they can't authenticate?

this guy said "I want to speak to the owner"  I said the owner of what.  He said, "the owner of the business."  I hung up.  almost like a grade school prank call.  If he calls again - I will try and report the number to the local police.

Received a call from this number.  A gruff voice, asking for donation for sheriff fund.  I told him that I could not take his call, and hung up.  You can also tell the caller that you "do not do business on the phone."

Phone range 3 times, I picked it up and nobody there.

This idiot keeps calling and won't say who they are.  This number will be reported to the Attorney General's Office.  I am on the no call list.  They will be fined several thousand dollars every time they violate this law.

Asking for money for deputies.  Give me a freekin break!!!  I am so sick of all the people asking for money.  What  good is it to be on the do not call list, it sure doesn't make a difference.

Just called this number MO Deputy Sheriff's association???  I have never received anything from them.  I hope they stop calling!!!!!

They left a message today, first time EVER!  it was from Liberty University asking me to register for their upcoming semester......................

Got a call from this number, suppesedly this is from some Sheriff's organization seeking donations.

This is nothing more then a scam.

The Police and Sheriff's Departments have went on local news and said they never ever solicit for donations over the phone.

I get these calls at 4:00 P.M. twice a week and I cuss them out but to no avail.  Next week they will be blocked out.

I've gotten several calls from this number at my office.  I saw the "local area call" listed on the caller ID and did not answer it because although I am in Missouri, I am not in the 816 area code.  I let it ring through to voice mail but they never leave a message.

I had this same problem when I bought my house. A week after I moved in, I started getting calls from this number. I asked several times to be taken off the list, even escalating it to the supervisor. Each time they promised they would and each time they kept calling back.

I finally had to file a complaint with the MO State Attorney General's office (Jay Nixon at the time) that finally got them to stop. I saw somewhere not too long after that they were given a warning for harassing people who had asked to be placed on their do not call list.

Now we're starting to get these calls where I work. Unfortunately since it's a business, I don't think we have the same rights to request this. I asked to be placed on the do not call list, so we'll see what happens.

Received same calls as described above. Supposedly a fund raiser for the MO Sheriff's Dept. Twice I have asked them to take me off the call list. How do we report this abuse?

They called and asked to speak with the person in charge of charitable contributions.  A Bona Fide Charity Name should show up in your caller ID box is it is legitimate.  This one did not.

These are from autodialers. They call 1 to 10 numbers at a time. When someone answers, the call is transferred to a telemarketer. If the TM's are all busy when you answer, it hangs up on you.

I don't think they buy local numbers (area code= KC). They just spoof it on VoIP systems.

The call I answered was to donate for the Sheriff's Fund.

Businesses are obviously buying numbers in areas to look as if they are calling locally when they ARE NOT!  caller id says "local area call".  I hang up on them before they can me :)
