I feel so dumb.. I am a single mother of 4 kids and was told 2 weeks ago that I had to pay $483.00 to keep myself out of jail. I paid the $483 and then receieved a call the following Monday and stating that I now owe $250.00 more dollars. I lost it and told them to send me something in writing. I received another call today and was told that I needed to pay another $125.00 to keep myself out of jail. I called the local cops and the cop called the # and told them that I would send the remaining $125.00 in penny's.

This person from   called from 816-318-5211, claiming that i had applied or obtain a loan fraudlently back sometime in December 2012, from a company in Missouri. I repeatedly   told him(he has an asian accent hard to understand) that he was mistaken and that I had not taken or applied or even received a loan from any company let alone one in Missouri. He proceeded to threat me with the police and legal action, having me arrested. I told him I would investigate this ad he could call back in 30 days, and that I wasnt paying him ot anyone else money that I didnt owe. He at that time when he phoned in February 2013 the first time, said I would have to pay 150.00 or I'd go to jail. I again repeated to him I had not applied for or gotten any loan from any company,or had to try to do so fraudluently. Today, 3-1-2013, he has called my number a total of 18 times, when he was told once that he had the wrong number he got blundent ad I hung up, he proceeded to call back repeated and the last call he left a message saying,"Linda Engmark you think I'm playing just watch and see what happens" I dont feel  should be harsher or threated by him or anyone first of all for something I have not done.

THIS INDIAN GUY CALLED SAID HIS NAME WAS MIKE ANDERSON AND I OR MY ATTORNEY NEED TO CONTACT THEM IN REFERENCE TO SOME PAYDAY LOAN I WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE GOTTEN . BUT I HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY PAYDAY LOAN. SO THEN HE PUTS SOME OTHER GUY ON THE PHONE WHO SOUNDED LIKE THE FIRST GUY AND HE WAS TALKING AND I KEPT ASKING HIM QUESTIONS HE GOT MAD AND HUNG UP. NEVER SAID THE NAME OF COMPANY . THIS IS A SCAM. BUT VERY ANNOYING WHEN THEY CALL SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. AND HE WISH ME AND MY FAMILY LUCK. I AM CALLING THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND MY FRIEND WHO IS A DETECTIVE TOLD ME NOT TO ANSWER WHEN I SEE THIS NUMBER. SO THAT'S WHAT I PLAN ON DOING.

SO THEM HE TOLD ME TO HOLD ON TO TALK TO SOME KIND OF OFFICER HANDLING THE CASE. SO THE GUY GETS ON AND I AM ASKING HIM ALOT OF QUESTIONS AND HE GOT MAD AND HUNG UP THE PHONE. THIS IS A SCAM SO WATCH OUT. THE NUMBER WAS 816-318-5211. THEY CAN'T EVEN TALK ENGLISH TOO WELL. WHAT A JOKE. NEVER SAID THE NAME OF THE COMPANY.

I have gotten the same calls. from the same number or another one. I already changed my cell number and called the police and put in a report. Look out for this number also 816-312-5211 they use this one also. And they called me on my cell phone using 911 and I thought it was my sister.

I also got a phone call from the same place... And with different names also.
But I have phone numbers.. 816-318-5211 and another 816-312-5211 also
here is another one 909-666-8252.. and they all have the same accent
and I was given different names. saying something about a payday loan
and Looked up the place and it is only a site that you can go for loans.
Talked to a friend who is a cop in Texas he said change house number and
cell number. but they have all of my other info.

This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. ABC News released an investigative report on it in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

In the meantime, you are going to have to do whatever you can to protect yourself. That includes letting them know they are running a scam and are reporting them to the authorities.

recvd call from elisa desuza  for same thing saying i had a lawsuit against me called cell and work, and wished me good luck.

Just got the same call from a John Anderson and said that he was with law firm of Dan goody and Paul wacker. He said that I was going to be arrested because I had a lawsuit against me and then gave me the last 4 of my social.. I am Kim of worried that they have my social and also he is screwing me as a military member that fights to keep him free so he can make these harassing phone call. I wonder what I can do to report them because it sounds like the same guys who took over 700 dollars from my bank account for a payday loan that I supposedly had taken out. These people have way too much information on a few too many people.

I got the same call from "Samson" who threatened to come to my address(which I haven't lived at in at least 2 years) at 11AM tomorrow morning with my subpoena and arrest warrant. I told him to go ahead and hung up.

This number is calling my phone asking for me to return the call or have my attorney to call because it is an urgent matter.  I was recieving these calls before from a different number same indian man and accent Frank Joseph he says his name is says i have a law suit against me.  I would like the calls to stop.  I had the same kind of calls a couple months ago sounds like the same man.

Indian man left me a voicemail saying his name is James Washington, and he needs to hear back from me or my attorney today. Says it is a very serious issue and if I do not call him back now, he can only wish me good luck as this unfolds....Filing a report with the Federal Trade Commision and the Missouri Attorney General.
