By law if you tell someone DNC they are suppose to take your number out of there system. I know this because I have been in collections for years.

They call me often, i have never talked to them though, sadly the state of the world now is the poor must keep there bills out in purgetory of collections... sometimes you have an emergency, and cant pay your bills, no famialy to help... now when your bill is 7 grand, its a little hard to take care of that on minimum wage.

Venture Financial is actually a wholly-owned subsidiary of St. Luke's Health Systems.  St. Luke's is technically a not-for-profit agency, but their in-house collection agency, Venture Financial is not.

I received a bill from them even after I paid off the remaining balance from my son. The bill was for over 4k and when I called and asked them about it, they tried telling me it was from my hospital bills in 2009 when I had kidney stones. I was so confused and then realized it was for my husband who almost died from acute renal failure BEFORE him and I even knew each other. Venture Financial informed me that since I was now his wife I needed to pay for his debt, even though we were not together at that time, let alone even knew each other back then. And the weird part about all this is they sent this ridiculous bill in my maiden name and DID not even know I was married to him until I told them.

So long story short, make sure you are getting all the details from the Agency, and make sure the bills are righfully YOURS, and not someone elses.

Yeah I owe a medical bill. I have no insurance. If I did I wouldnt have to worry about medical bills but I'm out of luck there. It costs so much that I cant afford it. Thus I end up owing medical. I dont go to the hospital unless I have to and have no choice.  I broke my arm. I had to go. Guess next time I'll just BE SMART and fix it myself?

She called me at work and not just work she called my boss' direct line.  I filed a complaint with the FCC and according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, if you send a certified letter to them saying you want to you be contacted by letter only they have to abide by that.  I'll be doing that this afternoon!

I don't pay my bills on purpose! I enjoy getting calls from people that aren't educated enough to get a "real" job, so that I can be above them. Keeps me from being lonely!!!

"Be Smart" clearly works for this piece of s*** entity.  I have paid the co-pay to them the same day I got the first call.  They keep calling, and I've hired a lawyer.

They are not calling you "rude".  They are calling you to get the bill paid.  Something you won't do on your own.  Why dont you pay for what you owe?

They called my cell phone, but when I picked up they hung up without saying a word. They do this all the time.

I called them and they didn't have my number on record (but they had called me) and would not tell me what type of organization it is.

It's a bill collector : Venture Financial out of Raytown, Mo. They handle medical bills from Saint Luke's Hospital, where I have plenty.

They call my work and have been told to stop numerous times.  Some lady by the last name of Lee.  I am about to file suit as according to the fair debt collection act they cannot contact you at your work if you have told them to cease and desist.

I Had medical bills to pay and they were late but what they don't want you to know is that you can still pay them off through the hospital. If you can and when you can you should pay off your bill to the original collector and put these rude people out of business and let them see what its like to struggle with large bills why is there a time frame o when u should pay an overpriced bill anyway? As long as I'm alive I should have time to pay! The dotors already been paid just look at their cars!
