This number has called me 6 times already over the past week.  I have the number set on call blocking so it doesn't ring anymore.

First the girl said she was with "Carpet Care" and then said they're a national carpet cleaning company and the one closest to me is in White Plains. I told them I was interested in their cleaning service and then mentioned I was on the "Do Not Call" list. She didn't know how they got my number because she "just answers the phones". When I asked for the exact address of the company, she said the name of the firm was "Best Carpet" and pretended to look for the info to give me.  I didn't want to give them my address until she game me some more company info. After a pause, she hung up.

816 389 2549, June 30 at 7:29 PM in Yonkers NY. I wasn't at my phone with caller ID. Also carpet cleaning sales. They gave me a false company name, location, and contact number ("Magic Carpet", Concord, CA; the phone number was an 800 phone sex line). I wasn't at the phone with the caller ID display, so I don't know what it gave as the originating name.

They call my house every day and do not leave a message! I called the # back from my caller id and message said "to be removed from our call list, enter your area code and phone #." I did so hopefully they will not call back. Does anyone know who to call to report violators of the "Do Not Call List" as we are on it and this scumbag still calls us!

Just called me in Rye NY at 3:45 June 29.

"Melissa" called my in Larchmont New York on 06/29/07.  I am on no call list also...  How do we stop these scummy people?!

Absolutely. This is frustrating and is a direct violation of federal and state laws. Their attempt to evade identification is surely indicative of their scienter, which should make them trebly liable. I would like to crush them.

Telemarketing? for Atlas Carpet Cleaning. Voice message instructs to press 1 to schedule an appointment or press 2 to be removed from their list. I pressed 1 to ask WHY I was being called (I am on a Do Not Call List). A young female voice answered and said, "Sorry, sorry" and abruptly hung up.

This could either be a telemarketer for a carpet cleaning service or an attempt to collect calling information for specific demographics/residential numbers. Either way, an invasion of privacy.
