My fiance just received a few phone calls from this phone number by an "Amy burns" and the same story came out. Bad checks in 2008, video footage and a thumb print which is all false. So yeah. Oh sh Le just go to off the phone with her father who is a private investigator and he verified it is indeed a fraud. Btw, statute of limitations at least in Florida is 3 years for bad checks so the more you know...

I received a message from Jacob Williams with Atty's Cochran Colby Meyers. Advising me that there was a fraud case against me for fraudulent check writing from 2008 in Washington where I used to live and I was provided the case # assigned to me. He stated that if I fail to call him back he will proceed to the fullest extent of my current state laws. I returned his call and when it was answered a woman said hello that was odd to me because a law firm would announce their company name when answering my call. I asked for Jacob Williams and expressed my concern with these charges because I didn't have a checking acct at all in 2008. He told me they had me on surveillance tape committing the crime. This gave me a another red flag because I knew the accusations were false. I advised him that it was bogus,  to send me the information via mail and to stop harassing me over the phone and hung up on him. Later that day I was still troubled by the phone calls still so I got online searching for the Cochran Colby Meyers law firm and wouldn't you know that sure enough the first site that came up was 800notes with complaints involving Jacob Williams from the same so called law firm and they were all scams. The phone number listed at that time was 816-625-5714. I'm so glad I followed my intuition on this issue and I hope everyone of them involved is caught and convicted to the fullest extent of their state laws!
