Who is this?

Received a call from this number today.  I don't answer "privacy manger" calls.  Answering machine picked up and it recorded a partial message stating, "This is your last call before your account will be turned over to collections."  

I do have an account turned over to collections due to an insurance dispute; however, I also retained an attorney to dispute the claim.  The insurance company settled in my favor and agreed to pay the claim weeks ago.  Despite notification by the attorney to cease and desist, and the attorney notifying both St. Francis and the debt collector that the bill would be covered entirely by insurance, and despite having received written documentation that the insurance company was paying the claim, the collection agency is STILL calling.  This is harrassment and very shady/inappropriate behavior on the part of the debt collector.

When I called back this number I was told that it was Privacy Manager calling here.  Looking at what you all have said I am confused unless the collection place has given up that number and AT&T took it for themselves.

This is ALW Sourcing - Trying to collect debt for Shawnee Mission Medical Center.  These are do***ebag collectors that are circumventing the Privacy Manager system.

Call came in on privacy manager, no message was sent from caller.  I will block this number.

Receive numerous calls from this number. Picked up once and the caller identified herself as April as she giggled.

Call came in as a privacy manager. I was not home and there was no message left on answering machine.

You can get your phone registered through the "National Do Not Call Registry." If the phone calls are not legitimate debt once you are enrolled they will stop them from calling you if you do as they suggest you do to stop the phone calls. They phoned me from 816-471-3679 the caller ID showed the number coming from "PRIVACY MANAGER." Then they phoned back from number 816-471-3680 that showed up on the caller ID as "TAKE A MESSAGE." The original phone call that came from the 816-471-3679 number my answering machine answered the call. The message left on my machine said "Shortly after you hang up your phone should ring again and display take a message. This is your caller coming back to leave you a message." When the phone rang again from the number 816-471-3680 there was no message left. Just the number showed up on the caller ID.

That link is four years old.  Do you really think a scammer is going to keep the same phone number for four years?  Common sense says no.

As for Privacy Manager, that is a feature on your phone service that requires calls from unknown numbers to announce themselves.  If they do not say their name, their call is blocked from ringing your phone, but the call will appear on your caller ID.

Received a call at 9:49 pm CT.  Caller ID said Privacy Manager.  When asked if I would accept the call, it was stated that the call was from "Jennifer," so I accepted it, thinking it was my friend, Jennifer.  The person, "Jennifer," sounded like a little girl.  She identified herself as Jennifer Thompson, and stated that she was looking for James.  I advised incorrect number and she disconnected.  It was very strange, especially since there is no James at this address, no family member named James, no friends named James, yet this number repeatedly calls my phone.  I'm blocking it, and reporting it to the phone company as harassing, and will report it to the PD if she calls again.

I keep getting calls from this number saying that the caller is now longer on the line, but the call was from a "John Thompson," stating "I have an important business matter to discuss with you."  If no one answers and doesn't leave a number, how am I supposed to return the call?

Received a call from this number.  Number originates in the Kansas City, MO area.  I never, ever answer a call when the caller ID shows "Privacy Manager."

This number called this morning, October 25 and it was just the sound of splashing water for about 10 seconds.

its most likely from St. Francis Hospital  ( or a collection agency for another hospital ).     We have been getting the calls for quite a few months as we can NOT make their required payments every month.  We are "required" by them to pay 168.90 a month, but we can only afford 50.00 or 75.00 a month.   The gal that I got to talk to said it HAD TO BE PAID EACH MONTH or it would go to collection... I said, are you refusing my monthy payment of 50 or 75 dollars ???  She got huffy and said... Well, you will continue to receive these calls until the bill is paid in full..   I'm sorry....  things happen...  I make regular payments to them, and I do not guarantee an exact amount each month, but do tell them, they will get a payment each month.. No need to tell them of your other issues, as they just type it in and totally disregard it...   I keep up on paying them each month what we can afford and if they don't leave a message or can't get thru, fine...   I can't call the # back, so be it... they get my check each month.

Got a call from 816-471-3679 this morning. It showed privacy manager. I tried calling back to see who this was, but a recorded message came up saying privacy manager then said the person was no longer on the line.

Privacy Manager answered.  Answering machine recorded partial message which said I received a call from: "Do Not Listen To This Message So That Anyone Else Can Hear It."   That was all the answering machine picked up on.  Very Odd thing to say and I do not know who this is from.

privacy manager answered.  Recorded message, that was incomplete, with a phone number that was incomplete.  Privacy manager then said person is no longer on the line.

This number calls repeatedly and the following happens: (1) if you pick up the line, it says they will tell you who is calling you, then it tells you that the caller has hung up, and (2) if you call the number back it says that this is a privacy manager and there is no one to answer the call. One does not know who is calling or who they are calling for, but keep calling repeatedly.

Received a call tonight from this number and no one would say anything.  Didn't hang up, just was quiet until I finally hung up.  Like others, it had 'Privacy Manager' on caller ID.

Caller ID said "Privacy Manager."  I don't answer these types of calls.  I googled Research Medical Center and that's a hospital in Kansas City that I've never heard of, much less been to.

This call came in as a collection call from Research Medical Center for a person that does not live here. When I called back to notify them of this, the person answering was not friendly at all.
