Just got 2 calls one right after the other one from a 816 number I'm 18 and it was like 5:00 The bi*** told me that her name was theressa and that my mom was wanted for fraud. I tell the w***e that my mom is asleep and she tells me to wake her up immidiately. She was super bitchy I just hung up. A couple of minutes later I got another call from a 954 number and didn't answer. I was kinda scared got some sleep woke up and looked the numbers up turns out a lot of people are having the same problems. These people suck bad and I'm just happy my moms not really wanted for check fraud

Shawn called me to with the same threat from 816-612-9737 and stated that he was filling on me and I had 48 hours to make arrangements.  I asked him to provide me with documentation so that I can validate the dedit and I have yet to receive.  I called him back today and I told him I felt threated and I still had not received the information.  He stated since I felt threated he would sign off on the search and locate to the DA and hung up.  He didnt even have the right birthday for me.  This is crazy and can't be legal.

Shawn from Macavey just  left me  a message too.  Check fraud division, He did wish me luck.  I wish him luck! Some people must actually fall for this scam, or why would they keep doing it? right?  As the saying goes, do not ever give anyone any personal info about you or a family member not even the state you live in .
Do Not Return These Types of Calls!!!  They feed on harassing and intimidating  people. Hey, If they spent this much time on being a productive member of society  the world just may find a little more peace!  816-612-9737 this was the number.

I keep getting the same calls over and over I cant even begin to tell you how many times, a few days ago it was at least 30 missed calls from this number (951) 389-0292 , he claims his name is Steven Scott , now I have someone calling me from a local number 816 612 9737 saying the same crap!! Funny how the voice mails they leave are all the same , I have a lawsuit against me , I am going to go to jail ,I need to call or my lawyer does and if I ignore the matter they wish me the best of luck. One of the voice mails even sounded physically threatening.  I will be taking the advice of one of the other posters and advising the douche I am actually with an officer and they would like to talk to the "paralegal"

I hope you did not give them any personal info. There are complaints of  scammers running extortion scams all over the web. A real debt collector will have all the relevant info on you to contact or to sue you without needing to call you.

Received a call from 816-612-9737, Mcavey & Associate, Ms. Shawn Newman. They accused me of writing a fraudulent check, and requesting additional personal information so they can issue a summon. They were rude and extremely disturbing. The personal information they stated they had was incomplete and or incorrect.

This company called searching for David Wright three days in a row.   We get at least 3 calls a month from this company/phone number.  I am tired of the calls.
