I've been receiving calls from CBE GROUP for weeks now. Their initial call asked for someone whose name I did not recognize who apparently put me down as as an emergency contact number (not sure who or why). I explained that the person they were looking did not live here, nor did I even know who this person was, nor did I know how to contact them. They kept asking me to have that person call them. Upon receiving my complaint, they said that they would take my number out of their system, but the calls have persisted, sometimes two or three times a day, even on weekends.

I'm essentially being harassed by them because some stranger made an error in filling out some paperwork somewhere. Thank goodness for AT&T call-blocking, at least that feature helps cut down on the amount of numbers they can call in from.

this company robo dials my cell phone upto 8 times per day and when i answer the call the person on asks for someone by name that does not live here.  i have told them over 10 times now they have the wrong phone number yet the continue to call and ask for the same person!

i have reported them to the DO NOT CALL LIST several times yet the calls continue.

Got another call. Second one today. STOP CALLING...NO DEBTS..

cbe group, fraudulent debt collectors, trying to collect a 15 year old debt i settled 12 years ago

So annoying...get calls all day on my cell while I'm at work. When I answer they hang up and when I call back they put me on hold for forever until I finally hang up. Haven't been able to talk to anyone, but that might be a good thing because I feel bad for whoever has to hear from me after all of these unnecessary phone calls

recieving calls for over a week on cell phone. several times during the day 9am    last call was 8:59 pm last night. i don't answer and , no message left. i really wish rhey wikk stop

I have been getting daily calls from this number for the past 2 weeks.  No one speaks, nor leaves a message.  Today I called back the number and spoke to someone who, after asking what number I was calling from, checked and said they were looking for _____ _____.  When I told them that I do not know that individual but that their name has been linked to my name and address for the past 20 years, the caller apologized and said my number will be removed from the call list.  Hope that works.

They keep calling my TextPlus #. It's a non-calling #.

Who is hell call me the phone number 816-659-1228? The message ask me for my last social security number. I am so angry and hang up. I hate scammer.

I get several UNwanted calls a day at all hours of the day and night. So sick and tired of it. I have called the national no call number and registered my number and I still get calls.

Someone from these numbers keep calling my house every day asking to speak with my husband but today 10/3/12 I asked why they keep calling and a lady told me in order for her to give me that information to verify my husband's birthday day when I did she says "That is not the same on our system" I asked her to STOP calling my house you have the wrong person.   This is another number people keep calling from CBE group 678-331-7299

Same thing, it was a bill collector for someone, but not me.  I have told them to remove me several times.   Doestn happen.. over it.

FIFTH call in two days from this number. Four yesterday and one this morning.

Keep getting calls from (816) 659-1228. No one there when I pick up.

They call everyday starting at 8:15am and continue during the day until about 9:00 pm.  They are really annoying, never leaving a message. THey do not answer when you call back to see who is calling and about what.

WISH I GOT 10 CALLS IN A 7 DAY PERIOD....IM SURE ITS PRETTY CLOSE TO 10 A DAY FOR ME!!!

I ALSO GET CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER DAY AND NIGHT ON MY CELL. THEY CALL AS SOON AS IT HITS 8:02 AM ON MY PHONE AND DONT STOP TILL 10PM!! NOONE ANSWERS AND DONT LEAVE A MSG AND CANT GET ANYONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN I CALL BACK!! HARRASSMENT AT ITS WORSE!!!

CBE Group surrogate in KANSAS CITY, MO. I have no idea why they keep calling, as I am well over 70, and have no debts. They never leave a message. Several calls during the day, spaced out from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Hello!  I started getting calls from this number yesterday morning, then all day.  I looked them up on the net and they are indeed a debt collection company.  I didn't want to pick up but but finally around 3pm I did.  He wouldn't give me any information until I admitted I was either the person they were calling or their power of attorney.  That went nowhere so I hung up.  I did a little research on the net and found this link to be very helpful:  http://www.debtdefenselaw.com/2011/02/when-debt-collectors-call-dont-hang-up/
They called again early that evening.  I have a somewhat common name and don't have debt problems so I figured they just had the wrong 'Jane Doe'.  I followed the instructions that were given at that website.  Mostly they tried to find out if I was the right 'Jane Doe'.  They didn't ask me any personal information but instead told me information about the person they were looking for (middle initial, date of birth, address) none of which were me.  They said I wasn't the person they were looking for and apologized for bothering me.  They were very polite throughout the call and so was I.  No calls since.  I hope that took care of it and I hope this helps someone else.

Thank you for the info - I'm disabled and they can't touch my money. I've tried telling debt collectors this for 3 years - they won't give up.
