This number calls my cell phone 3-5 times a day.. no joke. They never get through because I don't answer numbers I don't know. I finally called back today because I'm annoyed of listening to "dead air" when they go to voicemail. I'm so pissed that they have the nerve to call me like this and when I answer their stupid questions about who they're looking for, I get nothing but rudeness and hostility. I just want to be left alone!

So I just received a call from Pioneer at this number which also came up as ASG.  The guy as if this was MY NAME and rattled off something else, I said yes this is MY NAME, but what was the last part.  He said something 1973, your birthday. I said no that's not my birthday. He said he was calling to help me settle my account with pioneer.  I told the guy I don't have an account with Pioneer.  He said is Heather your wife, I said no and I've never been married to a Heather. He said is Phillis your mother, I said no.  He asked if I was ever in the military and I told him I was not giving out any other information. He hung up after he said he thought I was giving him the run-around.  Then called back within a few minutes, called me the wrong name and then said oh yeah Correct Name.  He asked for my last four of my social and I told him I wasn't giving out any info, he said well how do I know your not lying to me, I said well no offence but you have all the wrong info and the only thing you have right about me is public info, my name and number. He said well I'm just going to have to take action against your and i'll keep calling back, I said fine if I owe you money then send me a bill, but I'm just trying to save you time and energy because you obviously have the wrong person.

I am at my parents house, visiting. My parents are at work and the phone rings, it says ASG, so I answer. They ask for my mom, and I tell the guy she isn't here. He then says well maybe you can help me, do you know who "So and So is" I said no, I'm sorry, I don't. And he said well Barb is listed as a reference and you are telling me you don't know him? I said, I am sorry sir, but I just told you she is at work and I'm not her and I don't know who he is. He then hung up on me. Even if I did know who he was, I wouldn't tell that rude guy anything. And after reading all these horrible comments about these people, I think they need to review their tactics for getting their money.

I tried to reason with Military Acceptance regarding our account but to no avail. Then I get this rude email from a jack*** named Howard Tapp or Mr Johnson, he can't decide, lol. He wouldn't identify himself, only made idle threats. Here is the final email I sent him and after that he didnt have any smartass things to say. Im reading some of these posts and am shocked at the level of disrespect they show ppl. Anyway, read on...

Now that I know what acct you are referring to, I would be glad to give you the information you need.  I am not frustrated that the acct is in a bad status.  If you look at our history, this acct has been in perfect status.  I called MAC (which is how I know that acct not MidCountry or Pioneer) and explained my husband has been laid off and I lost my job back in November.  I also told him to stop any future payments until we could get our finances in order and I would pay him as soon as I could.  He did not offer to help nor did he give me any options to defer a payment considering we have had this acct for quite some time and havent missed a payment. I consider my husband and myself to have been good customers to you and your company.   Now, I am glad you feel you have total control over this account. I am sure it brings you great satisfaction to be servicing your nation with the job you do.  More importantly, you are representing a company that deals with a lot of military people, sans the name Military Acceptance Corp.  I would suggest you learn Ma'am and apply it.  I am quite sure I have earned it, as my husband has earned Sir having served 25 years in the military.  It is painfully regretful to myself and my family that after leaving the military, Dallas' job didn't pan out and he was laid off as well as me losing my job.  We have gone from having adequate income to having subadequate income in a matter of 2 months.  As for choosing to pay my payment on time or buy groceries to feed my children, then, Sir, you will have to get in line.

I received a call from ASG (caller ID).  I was told his name was Justin Allen and he works for Mid Country Bank.  He told me he is not with a collection agency.  This guy is very rude and yelled at me when I refused to cooperate with him.  I just played his game better than he did.  Told him not to ever call my number again or I would report him to the police for harassment.  He did give me a phone number if anyone wants to call him!!  LOL

These funny people keep calling me also... they hang up 2 or 3 times a day right after i answer the phone.  When they dont hang up they harass me and are very rude.  I dont owe these people money and i would like to see them come get me! :)

My husband has a loan from Pioneer from when he was in the service and we have been trying to make arrangements to pay. He is now disabled (severely) and unable to handle these issues himself so I do it as POA and they refuse to speak with me. I have explained the situation to them over and over and they still continue to call and demand my husband. The latest call was today at 7 am PST and they threatened my husband's security clearance (LOL) and said they could send MPs to our door. My thought is whatever, he no longer has security clearance and we do not deal with MPs as HE IS NO LONGER IN THE ARMY. We have every intention of paying this loan off in the next month or so but they will not accept payments from me, give me a total pay off, or work out payments we can make until we can pay it off. We had excellent payment history with Pioneer prior to my husband's injuries and they have always worked with me before as he was in Iraq and I have a POA. In fact, they were always polite before. They need to learn that you get more flies with honey and be willing to work within the law and also with people who have always paid them. BTW, just a little addition, when we took out the loan we paid for the injury insurance on the loan but after my husband got injured they said we had not. I have the paperwork showing that we did and they are claiming it is null and void because my husband was injured while in the service not in a car accident or something, so it does not count. One woman I spoke to said he should have known the risks of being a truck driver in the Army and should have avoided deploying......

For some reason, things were getting kind of bad, so I fell behind on my payments with Pioneer and then I get a call while I'm in training from one of my neighbors that some guy called her house looking for me.  He said he was a friend and hasnt seen me in a while, so she told me the story and gave me his number.  WHen I got some time, I called him and he told me he was from Pioneer and he wasn't really rude because I explained my situation to him. He actually seemed okay, I guess they just want their money.

They have called my cell phone more then 10 times this week leaving rude messages for my husband. My husband had a loan through them 4 years ago and paid it off and they are claiming he hasn't. I won't answer when they call because of how rude they are.

Just looked up the 816 number and its listed out of Kansas......possibly somewhere near Ft Riley, since there is a Pioneer office there.

I had a loan with Pioneer about a year or so ago and I havent gotten a call yet, but after reading these posts, I guess I should expect one in the near future!!

I am behind on my loan and am no longer in the army. My pay is not on a regular basis so I send a payment when I get payed. They called and called and called and I never called back because they were always leaving rude messages. One day a "nicer" guy called and left a message so I called him back. We had a resonable conversation and I explained my situation and he sayed if I made a one time payment by X date, he would defer the rest of the balance to the end of the loan. Needless to say I made the payment and the calls continued. Then I received an email from another rep. claiming I had talked to her on the phone and agreed to send a LARGE payment by X date. I never even talked to the person much less agreed to another payment. Then after the date in her email, I received another nasty email about how I missed the payment date and how I didn't live up to "my word." I sent a nasty email back.

             I made no such arrangement! I have never had any contact via phone or otherwise with you untill this email! I will make my payments, as I have been, when I am able to and that is it. I'm sorry that I'm behind. I explained to the last Pioneer employee that I talked to that I am no longer with the army and my current employment is not sufficient. I was assured by him that it was understood and that if I made a single payment by a certain date (sorry, don't remember what that date was) that my late balance would be deferred to the end of my contract. Obviously this was a missunderstanding, as it did not happen. I will not be bullied or pressed into making any more payments in a time manner that I can not afford. Your company's collection practices are shameful. Your company's employees make harrassing phone calls in rude tones and with unrealistic demands. Then I recieve emails saying that I made arrangements that I did NOT!

           I will continue to make my payments as I can afford to. I have not and will not agree to any other timeline or payment arrangement as I don't know when or how I will get paid! I understand that I signed a contract and that I am behind in my payments. I am doing the best that I can in my situation.  Thank you for your time and patience.

It took them a whole 3 days to process this I guess and then the calls started again......

We had a mishap with our bank (they took out a truck payment earlier than they were supposed to so Pioneer loan did not go through and was five days late) that led to us receiving this message at 4am (We are in Guam, they are in the US). "This is so and so (inaudable) with (inaudable), Mr Branen, now yoU NEED to get this taken care of. We have a BIG problem up here at headquarters and this could become very bad for you. Give me a call at blah blah blah. IMMEDIATLY". I was thinking who the HECK is that?!. So I came on here and looked it up and after about 20 posts saying it was a scam, I saw a few saying it was Pioneer. I was like ok, my husband will call them in the morning. Well when I woke up and called my mom, apparently because we used her as a reference they called HER and left her an even more threatening message. "Ms McFarland, we can either do this the nice way, or we can get nasty and get family members involved and embarass you, it's up to you. Call this number if you want to get this taken care of otherwise we will keep calling".

Ok, for one, they DID call family, so the message doesn't even make sense. She IS my family. Two, what the hell???

My mother called the number back and told the lady that answered how rude the guy was and the lady told her that he was NOT supposed to call references and was NOT supposed to be threatening like that.

However, when we called up later to set up a different form of payment and change it to automaticly come out of mypay instead of the bank (didn't want another mistake!), the lady we talked to took the attitude of "hm, nope, don't know anything about that" when we mentioned this guy.

So beware, these people are super nice when they want to set you up with a loan but if something comes up and your late or can't make a payment on time they WILL call your references and leave you threatening messages. I know that collection ppl tend to be a**holes but I've never heard of them calling references. We will never deal with these people again. They treated us like one bank mishap (that wasn't even of OUR doing) made us people that hadn't paid in a year.

I wanted to add that I have no problem whatsoever paying the money that we owe, as we DO owe them money because of the banking error so we are sending them western union quick collect for that. My issue is with the way they handle their calls. Very, very rude and harassing when they do not even know the situation.

Doesn't matter if they know the whole situation or not; there methods are not only unethical, but illegal and if all those they have done this to would take action, such as calling their attorney's general for their state, FTC, and or class action suit: you would be doing the most constructive thing and sending a message to a lot of collector's using these methods.

I got a call from this number they where looking for my EX boyfriend I told the guy I talked to I didnt have any connections with him and that was'nt his number anymore since we are not together we dont share a phone. He started calling me a Liar and bacically yelling at me because I would not give him a number to call my ex which by the way I dont have. I hung up on him he called me 5 times back to back finally I played the game with him and answered and just sat the phone down and by the way (I was at work). He finally hung up after sitting for about 5-10 minuets. Im looking foward to his call again.

My entire family received phone calls from this company which were rude, threatening and the people on the other end were cussing at every member of my family.  They used threats of fraud, jail and other forms of intemidation to get the money back that is owed to them.  My advice is to turn them into the states attorney's office and let them handle it.  That was the only thing that worked for me.
