Keep calling everyday before I get to work, my WORK phone has 15missed calls from PROTEGE SVCS. No vmail, and Im not at work yet to answer..any ideas?

Keeps calling everyday

Calls toll-free repeatedly and tries to fax something. The level of disruption and theft of services (toll-free fees) has reached criminal. The lack of  system's ability to detect a human voice and remove from fax is characteristic of low level scammers and I would not trust or do business with this company.

Constant calls to 800 # goes to fax immediately

Just like the other person wrote, we get regular and frequent calls from this number to our 800 number, even on HOLIDAYS.  No fax (though, sounds like a fax tone), no one on the phone, no way to look them up or ask them to stop calling. We bought a new Lexmark 6675 fax, which works great and we have programmed it to block Protege Svcs numbers.  So far, we have 8 different numbers encoded for them.  They are using a POOL of numbers for outbound calls and none of those numbers work for inbound calls.  Have filed several complaints with the FTC, the FCC, ATT, Verizon, and even the Lake Worth, TX police department, to no avail.  Can find no info on this company either, so I think the name Protege Svcs is bogus.  I suspect that this company is using pooled outbound calling to find active phone numbers, so it can sell those numbers to other companies for telemarketing purposes.

We also used to get calls from ListBuilders until we caught up with them and threatened a lawsuit.

These folks are real As@holes in my opinion and deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  If I ever find out who Protege Services really is, I will be suing them, as their calls are costing me money on my 800 bill each month (except that we are now successfully blocking most of them!)

I sent in the fcc form also, they call on our office line 2-3 times a week. it isn't even a phone line they are calling on. Arghhh.

Answering machine keeps picking up a dial-up sound as if someone is connecting through a modem/internet.

This number, and a string of other 940 and 817 numbers, has called our business 800 numbers multiple times.  No fax (though, sounds like a fax tone), no one on the phone, no way to look them up or ask them to stop calling.  Filing a Junk Fax 1088 Form with the FCC, recommend you do so as well, or you can fill out a Do Not Call Complaint with the FTC.
