Multiple late night Hang Up calls from this number. Area code traces back to Texas.  A concerned Citizen sounds like political organization

Mr. Maxey - please get a legitimate job.  Eventually this will result in you being behind bars.  How can you repeatedly call other people's toll free numbers charging many thousands of dollars to people and be able to sleep at night?

Folks I engineer the telecom infrastructure for a call center and have done many. All inbound calls from either 817-237-xxxx or 817-238-xxxx are now and have been failing, 99% in eactly 25-26 seconds from intial dial. Your nuisance calls are probably not people hanging up on you. I'm working this issue wholeheartedly now with carrier and others.

Changed again, now they are calling from the 316 area code.

Called my place of work from (316) 303 1050 no one on the line line disconnected after 5-6 seconds.

Calling back I get some automated DTMF tones then silence for about 30 seconds then the DTMF tones again.

Ok, I just got a call on my business phone number (most likely my 800 number) from these people. Answer the phone and no one is there. Here is the number that came across my Caller ID: 817-238-9632. What is their deal?

I'd really love to know how you found this guy.  I'll certainly be happy to return the favor he's given us by calling him repeatedly from my Skype account at 4 in the morning.

Their IT man called me back.  He apologized for all the problems.  They were having some system issues.  He seemed like a nice enough fellow.  I think I helped him fix some of the issues. Boy..they need help too. I told him they could hire me as a consultant. lol.  So far so good....no calls.

After too many middle of the night phone calls I found this forum.  I sent a tracked email to them and told them to remove my phone numbers from their list.  I also told them that the email was being tracked, and that I had their address and contact information.

I also mentioned that if in fact I do start a lawsuit that I would open it up to anyone else who wanted to join in as a class action lawsuit.  I think that's the only way to get them to go away for any length of time (class action).

Email has been opened two times so far, on two different computers.

I HAVE RECEIVED OVER 15 CALLS IN THE PAST MONTH.. THEY STAY ON THE LINE AND DON'T HANG UP.. THEY KEEP CALLNIG MY TOLL FREE NUMBER AND ITS COSTING ME A TON OF MONEY. I HAVE TRACKED THE NUMBER DOWN TO "MIKE MAXEY" FROM BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS..

IF I GET ONE MORE CALL I WILL SUE THIS GUY.

This caller continually calls - no answer - day and night, weekend.  No one speaks.  Caller ID "A Concerned Citizen"  Different number everytime.  Tried call block, but number is always slightly different.  Last number used was 1-817-237-6902 @ 2:58 p.m.

Which form are you suggesting we use at the Texas Attorney Generals website....none of them seem to be compatible with this complaint.

I am getting the same thing, I have had these idiots call me at 2;30 A.M wake up the kids and all the while, NO ONE answers... what I am going to suggest is that everyone who gets a call from these fools, contact the Attorney General's office in Texas, here is their web site http://www.oag.state.tx.us/ go up to complaints and fill out the complaint form... They call my 800- Number, it is annoying me out of my mind. I had been getting dozens of these calls all from Brownsville TX at different numbers at all hours of the night. I finally called my local police and they suggested I call my long distance carrier. They blocked all calls coming in from that exchange and guess what? Silence for 2 months and then I received a new one from an exchange beginning with 817 - so I can't go and block all these exchanges so am hoping this one will cease and desist! I have no idea - some of the numbers are actually listed if you do a reverse search and they all say "Conerned Citizen". If you find out any further info, please post it!

How did you find a telephone number to call The COncerned Citizens group? My called ID says "A Concerned Citizen" and I blocked the first 3 digits through my long distance carrier. And now, two months later, it is starting again with a 817 exchange. When you answer, there is no reply but the calls come in at all hours of the night.

I was %#%$ mad as hell.  I contacted this "Concerned Citizen Group".   They pulled me off the list and they seemed to be really sorry about what happened.  They said they had a system problem.  I feel better now, but lets see what happens.

In the above posts, the calls were made to different time zones from these  Central Time Zone locations. A lotta nerve if you ask me.

Too bad that 'concerned citizen' isn't actually concerned about calling people at a DECENT time of the morning, such as between 8am-9pm, which is the law.
