Got a call from 817-299-3200 this morning.  It was FedEx following up on my complaint the previous day that they claimed to have delivered a package (one I was expecting), but I couldn't find it, and the person who signed for it wasn't one of my neighbors.  Turns out they delivered it to a large company with so many employees they don't check the name before signing for it, in the wrong city.  They weren't fishing for information, they were giving it, and apologizing.  The package arrived in the afternoon.  Seemed like a legit call to me.  

Called at 7:11 on a sat and left no msg.

Courier companies don't call you, they leave little stickies on the door, or a card on the door knob. On it, it tells you when they will try to redeliver, or where to phone & pick it up. Seen it, heard it, & it's a scam. Never give out pesonal information on a phone call you did not make.

Spoke to Tony from FedEx. He said I had a package requiring a signature and they would like to reattempt delivery. He called to confirm my address and what time I'd be home. Felt suspicious, but I like living on the edge. With the other comments I feel it's legit. But if my home has been burglarized then I'll update my post.

This number IS FEDEX CENTER IN FORT WORTH TEXAS calling. They deliberately use a non-working number on the caller ID information to prevent customers from calling the center back for customer service instead of the normal customer service phone numbers of 800-GO-FEDEX (800-463-3339) or local 817-561-3042. I spoke with Amy, the admin for the Sr. Manager there at the Fort Worth center this morning after noticing a missed call from this phone number. I reached Amy back by calling the normal customer service number, giving them my recently used tracking number, and explaining that I thought Amy had tried to call me back to determine how my delivery went. The customer service people then called Amy directly and left her a message to call me. This is how things work with most large businesses like Fedex or UPS, or others will large call centers. Amy CONFIRMED the DELIBERATE USE of a non-working number on the caller ID information, explaining, as I said before, this was to prevent a rash of calls to the local office instead of the customer service call center. This number IS NOT just used by Amy at the center, it could be ANYONE from the Fort Worth center trying to reach you for information. I have no idea why anyone would get a call at normal sleeping hours, like 10 pm - 5 am, since the center would expect people not to answer during those hours, though as with most shippers, there are almost certainly staff working there throughout the night preparing deliveries for the next day. I should know, my brother works for UPS.

The number is from.fedex...i Kno becuz my husband works there in arlington texas. Not fraud nor a scam.

yes some woman call me today from this number 817- 299-3200 and ask me about my apartment # and to much things she say call from fedex but i'm driving when she call me and now i have a question??? everything i buy on internet it's delivery to my business address and right now i don't know what is the right reason of this call it's telemarketing or some one playing or some one try to collect and stolen information i don't know???? any body help!!!

It's not fraud, it is FEDEX Ground....  They do not know why their caller ID has that number but their actual number is 817-561-3013.  Hope this helps

just got a call, did not answer. they left a message saying they were from fedex and had trouble delivering a package, which was not addressed to me. so whatever.

Woman claimed to be from fedex and claimed to have a package for us. She had our old address but not our new one and I moved over 3 years ago. When I went to return the call i got the imfamous this is a non working number message. Arlington Police won't even help me. I know about where the call came from though
