they called and they hung up on me when I answered.  They never even muttered a word. That is so rude of them.  Do people not have manners these days?

They call every night and it's pissing me off.

I received three calls today from 817-348-0026, the phone rang 3 or 4 times and no message was left.  I also saw 325-574-1003 on my caller ID.

This caller was on my caller ID when I got home and I called them back and the young man was very slow when reponding

Have called me for years, ever now and then I slip and not look at the CID and get what they say is the Texas State Trooper Assoc. wanting donations
I just hang up on them.  Years ago I fell for there line and sent a check for $15.00 and when I saw that the check was sent to another state, that set me off. Texas State Troppers Assoc. my a**.

They call and I don't answer, let the answer machine take care of them.

This number calls all the time, sometimes they say they are from The Texas State Troopers assocation, most of the time I just don't answer.

They called me too, today. Said was with "State Troopers" association. I said loud and boldly "do not call this number again". The man said "ok, I will call you again later at this number". I said do not call this number again. But he hung up half way during my sentence.

This exact thing happened to me today. CID says 817-348-0026 TX
I answered, said "hello" twice, and hung up. No one said anything on the other end and I could hear no background noise.

I picked up, they hung up.  I called back... busy... busy... busy.... busy!!!  I am on the do not call list and I do not appreciate these phone calls.  Shouldn't we be able to report these calls??

Received call on 10/18 @ 7:27PM.  Did not answer.  No message.  See comments at link below, appears to be a false state trooper association originating in Fort Worth.

The guy identified himself as a member of the Texas State Police (an organization that does not actually exist) and was soliciting money. When I said I wouldn't pledge money over the phone (advice a real cop had given me), he said he wasn't asking for a pledge despite the fact that he had used the word a minute earlier. When I told him to send me the info so I could review it and decide if I wanted to send money, he became very obnoxious and accused me of not wanting to help the police. Was a real jerk. If he is actually a cop, he should quit before he hassles the wrong person. He basically hung up on me even though I never got snarky with him.

Rec'd a call 10/05/07 at 8:40 PM.  Hung up before I could answer.  I tried to call back and it said that all lines were busy at this time.  Shows as TX, 817-348-0026.

Well I got a call just today they asked me a couple of questions about the weather and how are you today then they asked for donations so i replied with a loud F*** you to and hung up.

Have received 6 calls from 817-348-0026 in 5 days, Sept 26 - Sept 30.  They never leave a message.  CID shows "TX" and phone number.  Wish they would quit calling!

817-348-0026, I have already asked the Fort Worth office to remove me but they continue to call but from different in office numbers so I called, (512)450-1814 and had the main office put me on the DNC. Joanne said she will fax the information and calls should stop in 2 days time and if not to call her back so they can get "harsher". She nicely says she is aware of the problem from this office but I am not so naive to think they aren't playing me.

Got the call. Tried to call back....stays busy. I blocked it. Simple

The person(sic) said he never heard of US Dept of Homeland Security. Go fig. Maybe he is in India?????

This a legitimate call for the Texas State Troopers Association.  I looked in their web site, got the Austin office (512)450-1814.  Their primary function is legal defence for state troopers as well as aid to their familys in times of legitmate need.  Yes, they do use telemarketers to procure contributions!!!!  817-348-0036 is the Dallas Area office and collections are handled through a lock box PO box in Richardson and Garland Texas.  In order to receive aid the trooper must pay a small membership due and join the assoc.  They are listed as a political organization but are much more than that. Our law enforsement officers are under fire in more ways than just firearms given the sue happy society we have become.

Yeah I just started getting these calls on Sunday 9/16 at 3:30 am & noone ever says anything when I say hello.....don't know who it is????

2 calls today from (817) 348-0026. Probably several dozen over last three months. Never leave message or talk when I do answer.

What is this all about?

It just hung up instead of leaving a message.  Hey, it MAY BE Texas State Troopers.  I'd be in a bad mood, too, if my employer forced me to make solicitation calls!  Anyway, I get these type of orgs calling all the time and I feel bad IF they're legit, but I'm not giving any money to anyone that I can't verify over the phone and/or anyone who bugs me like these callers do, over and over.  And there are a gazillion scammers out there pretending to be charities.  If you want to give money to your local police, firemen, etc., walk right into their station and hand them a check for their favorite charity.

Have been getting calls from this number for over a week.  The calls are all times of day- 5 to 6 times per day.  We have also been getting calls from State troopers' Association, but htey are identified on the caller id.  The above number on CID is "unknown".  This according to another website is a scam with people posing as State Troopers Assoc. wanting donations.  I have not answered the calls, but I am curious now so I will answer the next one.  This needs to be reported to the Texas Attorney General- Consumer Protection Division.  The AG Office can determine exactly who is making the calls.
