I don't believe so.  This collection company can not 1099 you, because they did not make the original agreement (loan/debt).  In addition, a 1099 would have to be issued by Chase Bank as they forgave the debt and wrote it off.  CHASE BANK HAS SOLD THE ACCOUNT to Client Services, not written it off.  They made money.  Chase is probably showing it as written off to claim the deduction, AND ALSO making money by selling it to a 3rd party.  SO, Client Services CAN NOT 1099 YOU!  

It can not be 1099d if it is an active debt...it is active if Client Services is working it.  HOWEVER, THE DEBT IS NOT OWED TO CLIENT SERVICES - IT IS OWED TO CHASE!!! (See the circle)

If you get a 1099 from Client Services and/or Chase, report it and/or check with the IRS.  They like to know that when a company is claiming a debt forgiveness...but also sold it to a 3rd party!!!

I always ignore phonecalls that don't have someone's name attached.  But who are these people?  I found on another website that it is CSI.  Who or what is CSI?

they are a collection agency located in St. Charles MO. Most often used # is 636-947-2321, but they also go thru local # to make contact. collect for Chase credit cards. They actualy will work w/u if you have the $ to pay immediatly, i got over 50% cut from card debit.
Remember any un-paid/reduced balance, you will recieve a IRS 1099 and have to pay tax's on.

This is the second time they called.  The guy asked for the same name and I told him that there was noone here by that name and that I had had this number for 6 1/2 years.  I told him to remove my number.  He said he would.  I called them back, I said wrong number and the lady goes "Sophia" I said no this isn't Sophia that I had just dialed one number off.  She asked if Sophia was there I said no.  She wanted to know why she had given them that number and I told her to ask Sophia the next time she talked to her.  She said I'll try back tomorrow and I told her to remove my number but I think she had already hung up.  It's a scam.  They have a name they use for all their calls otherwise why would she ask for the same person?

Thanks for letting me know it's collections.. What company?? They call me anywhere from 6-9 times a day. :(
