Just tried scamming us for a $1000 motorcycle head.  Watch out folks. Guy used the name Joseph William, 3007 Refugio Ave, Fort Worth TX 76106.

He is doing the same to me in Canada.  He sounded too good to be true, so figured I would look him up and "lo and behold"  Same deal, car, send him all my personal info, etc.  I smelled something.  Am glad you all posted.

This guy just contacted me about a bike and wanted to ship it to Ft. Worth - thank you for the other posts-my mom is an attorney in Ft. Worth so I told him he could take a check to her and I would ship it to him!

He is trying to buy my cheap $2900 camper and says he wants to ship it to TX, I asked why he woul pay the money to ship a cheap camper, he said he has other goods in the area.. ya right. I ship things for a living, and I knwo how expensive it is.He wanted to western unionther money to me as well. I found all this online about him and said no thanks, the camper is no longer for sale.

We posted my husbands motorcycle on craigslist and this idiot claiming to be joseph william replied. He didn't ask about the title or ny thing. We got an email from western union saying the funds are ready and we have to send the first $2700.00 to "the shipper" and we can get the remaining money  WHAT???? What the hell does he think he's doing? IT'S A SCAM!!!!! How is he getting away with this? Isn't ny body checking the IP address where the emails are coming from? I called his lovely number and i get magic jack voicemails. This guy claims to be in Fort Worth Texas and the number i got was 817-400-6137. Not to mention he has a weird accent so beware if you get a reply from this puke on anything you put on craigslist!!!!!! I am reporting this and hopfully he will get caught and punished for his crimes.

This idiot is a total waste of space but I enjoyed making him waste him time going down to money gram to retrieve a money transfer that was as bogus as the check he sent me. This moran really must think that people are stupid enough to believe that a guy from Georgia is going to purchase an item from craigslist & pay for it with a quote, unquote certified check from Massachusetts placing it in an envelope with a Massachusetts return address yet mailing it from Tulsa, Oklahoma all this while calling you from a Texas numbet. It's ok though folks. I got a good laugh today reading his desperate emails wondering where the money gram transfer was & since I'm an attorney, I'm going to have a HUGE last laugh tracking this guy down through all the information I have on him & putting him behind bars. So far, my research shows that good ole James is in the UK. This is too easy for me. One of my best friends & former classmate at Harvard Law is a member of the British Parliament. I guess I know who I'm going to be calling during my free time tomorrow. Hey James, like I told you in the last email I sent you, don't drop the soap while taking a shower in jail sweetheart!!!

Im with you buddy, James Moore e-mailed me and wanted to buy my vehicle and he told me he lived in georgia but gave me a Texas number, now I'm waiting for my check, to bad the check won't clear

James Moore is his name this time.  Same sh$t different day.  Have speakers, wants to deposit money into my paypal account and then western union him the difference.  The emails from paypal were bogus and filled with his sh#tty bad English.
WHile it would take an absolute and complete moron to comply with this guy's request, I have to admit it's been a hella of a lot of fun f*cking with him and wasting his time thinking I'm an easy target.

This same person...roland robin...same number did this same thing to us about a boat... I didn't give any information but he has our phone number and email address from craigslist, what should we do?

He tried to scam me on  Craigslisting  just like the folks  before me.  I sent him a link to this  sight. His emails stopped.

This jerk is doing this right now. I have a vehicle listed on Craigslist. Phone number that he first sent me was 427-7976 and then when I questioned him for the prefix so that I could talk to him personally he changed the number altogether to 817-400-6137.  He, also, gave me an address:3007 Refugio Ave., Ft. Worth, TX 76106.  How can we stop this jerk????

Same number called me wanting to buy a vey expensive car and asked me how much to ship it. I told him the price and he asked me what type of payment we accept. I told him certified check since he seemed very willing to buy ASAP.  He then asked if I accept wire, I told him we do and he wanted me to email him our wire info. I tell him once we receive ID and a good faith credit card deposit, we will disclose our wire info. He says he does not have a credit or debit card. Right then I knew it was a scam when he wants to buy a 90k car and doesn't have a $1000 to put on a card. BEWARE he is a scam!!!!

"Roland Robin" Just contacted us for an art piece we have listed on Craig's list.  Once again he wanted to send a certified business check and wait until it cleared our bank.  He was going to hire the shipper.  I was skeptical as he never asked for pictures of the piece nor confirmatin of the documentation. He gave me the listed number to call.  I left a message but he has not called back.  I am so thankful that I checked this site.  I am doing a little digging and will post my results on this site.

This guy sent me a check via FedEx for an item I listed on Craigslist. It was for more than the purchase amount. He asked me to send the difference to a "shipper."  I deposited the check, which was on hold for clearance. The check was returned to my bank as "unauthorized." He was freaking out trying to get me to Western Union the difference in money to his "shipper" before the check could be returned to my bank. Didn't work. It was this same phone number though - 817-400-6137.

He's using Identity Theft to get company names and bank account numbers - then he prints fake checks and sends them out, hoping that people get the cash out of their account and Western Union it to him before the check can be returned to their bank.

i got a name number address and all from him. im gonna call local authorities and authorities in TX about this. and create a post on craigslist about this guy. but hes actually replying to my txts unlike most scams

Involved in car shipping scam from someone calling themselves Joseph Williams claiming to be in Fort Worth TX
I placed an ad to sell my car on Craigs List. This person responded wanting to buy my car and send me a business check for more than the purchase price with the understanding that i would cash check and forward balance to their shipping company ;-)
Apparently this person has been doing this for some time see 817-400-4652
