Wife got text message ... entered account number. Lucky she did not enter PIN
I got one and I am a Verizon customer. Yes, I definitely think that Verizon got compromised.
Same s***. Verizon, bank name [[horizonsNorthCU]].
Also a Verizon customer and just received text as Harbor FCU.

Glad I found this.
Doesn't texting back anything give them something to work with, though I share poster's sentiments below?
Text message from firstname.lastname@example.org ([TCFBank]) Call: 817-430-1037. 447913XXXXXXXXXXXAccnt Issue.
I am a Verizon Customer.
PS...it appears that these are initiated from your area code+your first 3 digits of cell number + @vtext.com.
Also Verizon customer. Definately phishing scam! Report to Verizon by forwarding to 7726 and follow their instructions. Regions Bank in my message which I don't bank @ and my bank sends only texts I ask them to from their secured site which are for my personal benefit. All other contact by them for any fraud activity comes to me by mail only and directing me to contact them through their legitimate phone numbers. Never, never, never call numbers that are sent by text about banking nor talk to people who call you saying they are from your bank wanting personal account information! Be very cautious about anything you have not initiated yourself and know who you are expecting a call back from...I won't even respond to Government Offices calling me, texting me or emailing me without my initiating the conversation first and knowing whom I am expecting to respond. Be safe people and always assume people are trying to get your important information!
this is a bogus text misrepresenting itself as tcf bank! Hackers and thieves!33
I just got a text stating I need to call 1 817 430 1037 about a account issues they are saying that there REGIONS BANK. If I had not looked up the number and seen these post I would have called. I am also a verizon customer. So thank you to everyone that has posted a comment about this scam.
The 817-430 1037 number belongs to raintree consulting Inc in flower mound tx trying to find out more
These messages are spam. If you have Verizon as your carrier, forward the messages to 7726. This is verizon's fraud department
Send these messages, and any spam to 7726, Which is Verizon's fraud department
I got a text from (Legacy Bank) saying that my attention is needed
I am a Verizon customer with repeated text message:
Legacy Texas Bank
Call 817-430-1037 Your
Attentions is Needed
Mis-spellings and all. Legacy Texas Bank has on their website not to respond, it is a scam, it is not the bank. How did Verizon information get out there?
it is a scam, they want your entire credit card number so they can drain it. Bank of America had all their clients accounts names and phone numbers hacked and it was a scam then, same thing someone got into the various bank firewalls and getting numbers and names with partial credit card numbers and want you to provide the rest...sorry for those who fall for this, as it can be alarming. Just call the named bank directly and they will tell you its a scan, just got called by Legacy Texas Bank. its a scam.
Got a text saying its texas legacy bank. I don't have an account with them. I am a Verizon wireless customer and live in Texas. Scam.
SRB in Texas
Legacy Texas Bank is real. I am also a Verizon customer, but not bank customer. Google bank site and got the following message:

I am also a Verizon customer. How would these people reach so many Verizon customers? I'm sure this scam is to get people's credit card numbers. I have e-mailed Verizon about this.
this number sent text regarding a bank named Legacy Texas Bank stating my attention is needed. Asked for my 16 digit card number. NO WAY! I dont carry Legacy Texas Bank (if that is even a real bank) I have gotten other texts like this. SCAM.
Got the same message as Legacy Texas Bank. They couldn't even get their sentence grammatically correct. My wife got the same text too and we're both Verizon customers, but maybe not for long. I sent them a text back saying leave me alone mf'ers. Who knows if it will help but made me feel better.
Received a text - (LegacyTexasBank) Call: 8174301037. Your Attentions Is Needed. With typo and all !!! I have no reason to be contacted by this company therefore, I am assuming it is another scam!
