I got these calls all on my cell phone:
1-817-444-3052 on 4/9/09 ,
1-781-936-4241 on the 4/10/09..,
1-704-456-1307 on 4/8/09 and
1-773-249-5004 on 4/7/09 ...
The one thing they all seem to have in common is that they're all selling the same sort of Car warranty scam... it could be the same Scam company sending these multi telephone blasts
I even got several on my House phone as well ... I have a pre-used car , mileage is within a good range ... I did not have any interaction with a dealer .. so the only way they could have gotten my information is from: the credit bureau data [there is a variable almost like a fico that the bureau's report, that identifies auto risk, car purchase etc] ... there are companies who purchase data from the bureau's and filter the universe to sell such lists... this could be one possible way people's names were aquired.
Then there is the insurance company, DMV , the cell phone company themselves .. you never know if dishonest individual can hijack you data ... I'm not sure by what means my personal data was gathered..
But in a day and age like ours , with social networks and Database
galore ... we need to be aware of how fragile things can be.
For the issue at hand reporting these numbers to the cellphone companies ,FBI, law enforcement may be a tangable course of action ...
Drawing attention to this Issue is Key I thing...

Do not call this man, Jeff! Yes, he is nice, but he knows nothing about this. It is his cell phone number.
I too am getting calls from this 817-444-3052 and from 773-249-5004 stating that my warranty is about to expire. Here's the funny thing, the calls are coming on a prepaid, unlisted cell phone. T-mobile doesn't even have my name attached to this phone. So everytime they call me I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE CALL! If I reject the call it leaves a voicemail and then I have to pay minutes to clean out the message from my account. I have asked them several times to remove my number. They say they will but keep calling! Where can we report this company? I can't get them to give my anymore info then "Warranty Services" Anyone have any ideas? Can you imagine working for this place and making these calls??

auto warranty left on my cell phone - pretty annoying
How to stop this kind of calls ?
Eyes and ears in the sky 2009-04-10 14:26:33 Unknown
I am asking the US Government to track and locate this den of thieves and phone terrorists. Once located launch a unmanned drone and then once den is full of operartors fire several missiles and finish it off once and for all.
I will gladly to pay more taxes for this vital and long due operation.

Reverse Search says this number belongs to: Myr A Booth, 1300 Village Garden Drive, Azie, Tx 76020. Azie is part of the Fort Worth metro area. The call I received today 4/9/09 came into my cell phone. But, Only a handful of people have been given the number. My cell phone is Virgin Mobile, using the Sprint Network. I wonder if either gave my number out? Caller left no message. I see others have identified this number with the Extended Auto Warranties scam.

i hate telemarketers 2009-04-09 21:11:36 Unknown
it is bull that they get it from the auto dealers because i bought my car 3 and a half years ago. and i just changed my phone number a month ago. there is no way the dealer gave them my number because i would never go to speak to anybody from that dealership again.

Yet another Auto Warranty expired call - scam being done by criminals. I get these calls every few days on my cell phone, very annoying. When are they going to catch these varmints and exterminate them?

Same old warranty about to expire
Jack Z 2009-04-09 20:37:29 Unknown
I'll try that next time, it's brilliant.
I Couldn't answer when the call came in (already on the phone with my boss), but I've gotten several of these "auto warranty about to expire" calls lately - considering my car is a 1994 model, it was obvious that the call is junk. There was no message left

Everyone should start calling GTE Southwest DBA VERIZON who services this number and complain - also submit a complaint with the FCC at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm
these take a bit of your time but if enough of us complain they will pull the plug on this PITA!

I received a call from this number, 1-817-444-3052 for the third day in a row on my cell phone. I have never received "scam" phone calls before and am wondering how they got my cell number when only six people in the world know it! I know the company is a "your auto warranty has expired" type of business. I trust it will stop soon since I created a "Do Not Call" cell entry two days ago.

Getting several calls from the 1-817-444-3052 number and no one talks or leave messages. When call back, it's simply busy tone.
