If you have this problem, call your bank and cancel your credit/debit card. You should be able to dispute the transaction with your bank and have the money refunded.  The refund will depend on your banks policy and if they charge a fee for fraud research.

I just got a charge from Big Loud Head--like yours.  It's an online charge from a non-existent company.  My Bank of America Visa is sending me stuff from their fraud investigation, credited my account, even though it's still just a pending charge, and issuing a new card.  I am from Florida and the company is supposedly in Leesburg, FL.  I wonder if wome of the wait staff from a couple of restaurants I went to, might have copied the number.  Did anyone go to Long Doggers or Corky Bell's in Brevard County, FL just before the fraud charge?

Ok so after all that research, I filed an affadavit with my cc company along with 16 other pages of info showing why i felt it was an error. I was expecting for this to take up to 60 days to be completed. Needless to say I was very surprised and thankful to find that after only 4 days the charge was reversed and a new card had been mailed to me...

just saying, it's good to dispute with your bank/cc company...just do your research...

I just got my amazon statement today and was charged 24.50 from royal toothbrushes on 2/14. i did not recognize the charge so i called the number. it rang a few times and then just disconnected. so i googled the number and found several forums where people commented this was a scam. i called amazon and cancelled my card number and they are going to send me a form to fill out for fraudulent claims. i wonder if there is a common factor to these charges. how could all of these people get charged? did we buy on a site that wasnt secure? did someone sell a list of names and card numbers. i have a visa and i saw a master card was charged so this is really weird. there has to be some type of trail, or a way to find the person that is pocketing all of this money.
good luck to all who have been charged.

I hope everyone is filing a complaint with at least the attorney general of Texas?
I don't think they can randomly pick numbers without some other verification, ie: the 3 digit code on the back of the card, your address or??
I never did sports or casinos online, I have learned that a lot of medical claims are processed overseas? Also, this morning on the today show they were talking about downloading music can leave your card more susceptible to foul play. My card was run through without the code on the back, my bank wants to know how they did that, and I would like to know too!
The person with the paypal scam, won't paypal do anything to help?

I'll put my $.02 in on how this might have happened. Just like getting a telemarketer computer dialed sales calls, they just randomly pick a credit card number & hope its a good one & make the charge.

I just discovered a charge on my debit card from 2-12-09, the number listed is a verizon wireless number, possibly prepaid according to verizon, it is still an active number, so my guess is, they need to reload. Verizon suggested trying the number again at a later date. In the meantime I guess I have to notify my credit union. I'm wondering if my contact with Chase Bank online the day before was what opened my info up. I too thought it was a secure sight. It is the only thing i have done different.

I just got one this morning. 28.00 from my Visa Check card at Capitol Credit union. I had sent a fax recently to Humana to start my medical insurance. I thought it was a secure fax on both ends. This might be how they got mine.

Happened to me too!  I shop online & bank online, so who knows how they got my debit card #.  I reported it to the bank, and was asked to sign an affidavit and they would take off the charges.  Spread the word.......it may happen to you next.

No call, just a charge on my debit card for $24.50. Filing fraud claim with my bank. Looked this company up at whois.com and found another number (8172983760, disconnected) and another email address, dave.ford376@yahoo.com.

Also filed a complaint with Internet Crime Complaint Center: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

I also received a bogus charge on my credit card in mid December. I guess a lot of people may not look to close with all the Christmas shopping? Maybe that's what they're hoping?
Anyway, I would suggest anyone scammed by them to complain to the Texas Attorney General https://www.oag.state.tx.us/forms/cpd/form.php
and the FTC https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
Neither will represent individuals, but hopefully they will get enough complaints and stop this!
Also, be sure to have your credit card or phone bill charges reversed. Your card may be canceled and a new one issued.

Ok, it's me again...I had an idea. I did a yahoo maps search of the address shown @ royaltoothbrushes.com/support.php and found that when you view the map as a hybrid/satellite image and zoom all the way in as far as you can go, the address comes up in what appears to be a residential area located adjacent to a school

not that it matters, but hey it only continues to validate the fact that this could be (IS!!!) a scam...not to mention that the website is pretty lame and all...I can't picture anyone actually seeking this site out and thinking it is secure enough to acutually WANT TO BUY anything "for sale".

Oh, one more thing...go to yahoo.com and in the search bar type "royaltoothbrushes.com" hit search and see what comes up...bet you won't be surprised at all at the results...

Didn't get a call, but I am adding myself to the growing list of people hit by this scam. The amount I was taken for was around $23-24 (I am at work and don't have the statement in front of me...) The charge hit my Master Card (credit account, not bank) as of 1/10, but was not aware of it untill the 13th.

Called my cc company and openly disputed charge and they offered to cancel my card, send a new one, as well as to send me the papers necessary to file a formal dispute. Have not currently received anything yet, but I am sure it is on the way...

I went to royaltoothbrushes.com/support.php and noticed that both the phone number and the fax number they show is the same, and it's the phony number shown above. Not that it really matters, but just thought I'd point that out...just in case anyone hasn't seen that yet.

I have only one idea that has not yet been mentioned above. I either have the card on me or locked in my safe at home, and have only used it once online to make a purchase (through a secure site).

Anyway, moving on...if my computer is infected with a virus that allowed this company to acuire my cc number, then that would be my best guess as to how this happened, especially since I have consistently been in sole possession of my card since I received it in the mail.

As most banking and such is now done online, it is entirely possible that all (if not all, then some or most) of us affected by this scam also have security issues on our computers. I used to work for Dell, so I know how often people skimp on getting security for their system...

Like I said, it is a longshot, but one that makes sense when you think about it.

Hope everything works out for everyone...please continue to post issues and ideas about what could cause this...every little bit helps...

I did not receive a call but the same charges did appear on my visa dated 1/9/2009 for $28.00 and I call visa and reported it and now must fill out forms and have them notarized and sent back, after seeing this on the internet I am angry that visa security has not put a stop to this royaltoothbrush from placing the charges on our accounts.  I tried to call them and complain but they said it was my credit unions fault for not catching it but that doesn't make sense.  I am going to cancel all my visa cards and switch to another company.
