Good news!  Since registering all number with 817-524-xxxx to FTC, I stopped receiving them.  Bad news! I'm receiving calls with various area codes & prefixes all related to Washington Mutual.

I'm not a customer of Washington Mutual, have never been a customer, and I keep receiving calls from 817-524-xxxx (xxxx = varies) located in TX.  The calls ring to my cell which is very annoying.  I've returned the calls only to receive. 'Washington Mutual Card Services. Please enter your 16 digit account number...'  How did my cell number wind up in their auto dial system?

It's not a scam. It's Washington Mutual wondering why your credit card payment is late.

This is a scam call. Do not respond. I recieved this call, a recording comes on stating they have been trying to contact us, leaving a call back number. 877-424-4088. I immediately did a Google search on the number coming up with this ingenious website. 800notes.com.  Thank you folks. If it walks like a duck it must be a duck.
I was suspicious and this website confirmed my suspicions.

I have recieved a call from 817-5240113 and 817524-0098. Who are they? If it was so important to call me twice within two hours then why did they not leave a message?
