won't ring phone with google voice anon call rejection

I add these creeps to Nomorobo, which has cut back on most of the spam calls.  Nomorobo.com is a database that collects all of these numbers, and then blocks them for the most part.  They are also supposedly sharing this information with the FCC to play a more efficient game of whack-a-mole.  The guy who started that web site won a competition sponsored by the FCC to cut back on spammers.

I got a call from these jerks today.  I transferred my cell to google voice a while ago.  Now whenever I get a call from these jerks I put them in my spam folder and block the #.  GV does a good job of catching most calls before they get to me.  for the ones that slip through I just block them.

Cardholder services scam, recording said on behalf of Discover card (as if anyone uses Discover card). Next time I'm going to give them one of those used up visa gift cards for the number and when they say it isn't valid I'll just tell them I was wasting their time. I guess I should have let Google Voice block the call for me.

They use dummy phone numbers in your caller ID.

The numbers are not active, nothing can/will be done even if you file a complaint because there isn't anything to work on.

Blocking the numbers work for a day or two and then they change their calling numbers.

Just got called from this number. Can't a block be done for this number?

the phone rang twice then hung up a minute later it rings again and again just stoped ring after two rings another minute it rings again and they want to help with credit debt ?
they don't even have a valid phone number and they think they can help with some ones debt ?

I continue to get calls from this 817-613-0976 number. It is Account Services and they want to help lower my interest rate on credit card debt. First of all I have no credit card debt and secondly they are contacting me on my work cell that has no accounts of any kind connected to it! (IDIOTS) It is frustrating and I have called back and got the message to remove my number press this number...and even after having done it several times, you got it, I still get phone calls....
Something needs to be done about these idiots! SCAMMERS!

I reported this to FTC...got on DNC...tried to get authorities involved...tried to get the actual credit card companies involved.

I thought I had gotten rid of them after a few, deceptively quiet months. Then, one day I got another phone call...and another...and another. They use phreaking VOIP or magicjack crap to keep themselves flying under the radar.

The kicker? I don't even HAVE a credit card! Originally, (the early days) when I tried to tell them this, they'd just hang up. I'd say one word, they'd hang up. I'd get to the point of finally getting someone that wouldn't hang up and think I was onto something...they'd argue rudely, be sarcastic, and then hang up.

I figure a few years and maybe they'll just move on to some more of that horribly misspelled spam mail junk that MC Frontalot raps about. That stuff is kinda funny - these guys are just jerks. I ignore people now...even people that have out of area phone numbers that I vaguely remember...they all run together, really.

Get on line. Google 'credit card number generator'. Write a few down. When they call, give them one. Wastes a lot of their time and 100% safe.

report them to the FCC the form is quick and ez to fill out . places like this need to be shut down !
there number 817 613 0976 comes up as not in service . in fact they have no numbers that are in service and when you google there business you will not find them any were .
they are not a business in any way they take your credit info and will open cards under your name .
again there is stuff about that also in line if you look .  

These jack***es keep calling me every single day from a different number.  Each time, they promise me that it's my last and final notice...sadly, that hasn't been true yet.   :-(  
Apparently, they "work on behalf of" Visa, MasterCard, AmEx and Discover, and could lower my interest rates to as low as 0%.

Anyhow, I played along today (as I sometimes do if I'm bored).  They said they needed my full credit card number (such an obvious scam) to verify that my account is in good standing, and I'd be eligible for a lower interest rate (but only if I had at least $3,000 in credit card debt and was paying more than 10.24% (initially 10.74%) interest rate).

Stupid girl couldn't come up with answers to a couple of my questions (despite the fact that I was playing along), and gave the phone (literally handed over the handset) to some other guy.

Said guy identified himself as "Sean Dickerson" (sounded black), and told me his ID (and LICENSE! LOL) number was OSP8180.  Claimed that my full Card number is public information, and they needed the full card number, expiration date, my name and address "verify" that my account was in good standing (and that all this information was required by REGULATION! haha!).

Guy hung up on me when I asked for his phone number, so I could do more research online and call him back.  I really - I mean REALLLLLLLLY - want to get some contact info on these people, and go show up to their call center in person.  Don't care if I have to fly 2,000 miles to do it, either.
