some guy mike  turner calls and says I baught drug illegally I never did he said I need to send him1200.00 for my fine then he says I have to buy two 500.00 dollars cards and one 250.00 cards to send him to pay fine. that comes out to 1250.00  maybe if he took his shoes off and counted on his toes he would have gotten the math right. Also he said he was calling from the US custome I call the 800 number and they said they were shut down because of the government shut down funny he must like to work when hes not getting paid, he also said the police were on there way pick surch and seize my property. I wonder if he knows I have rights and the government has to follow the law to. I wish I could meet this person to let him know I have health issues and the didn't help. I hope the authorities catch him and he goes to jail and get what he wants free room and board

Tell him to call your lawyer and give him this number: 877-792-2873

He will then be connected to the REAL DEA.

Prank Call
I received threatening calls from a Christopher Randall saying he was a DEA agent, telling me there was an ongoing investigation on me for purchase of illegal drugs.  I told him I did not purchase anything , he insisted it was 2007.  If I got $1,500 prepaid green dot cards from Wal-Mart I could pay my fine and have the charges dismissed, otherwise I would be picked up by Federal Agents and sent to jail. Also said at my age I would probably die in jail.  I contacted DEA Authorities and local police.  He called again to check if I purchased the green dot cards.  I told him it was a scam.  He argued it was not.  He called the next day and insisted I pay the fine.  I again told him I had spoken with the police.  His words were "Them guys don,t know nuttin".  I told him he best learn a command of the English language if he wants to sound like a DEA Agent.

Prank Call
I got this call from Christoper Randall District 97 in Fort Worth Texas DEA office.  He said he was a special agent and I was in BIG trouble.  I was terrified at first, but then as I was talking to him he kept saying I bought diet pills, (I'm pretty skinny) and then I bought sedatives online (neither of which I did).  I asked him what credit card I'd used to "order" these items and he said it was a Mastercard.....I've never owned or used Mastercard, so that was the tell all sign for me that this was a scam.  He told me to go to any 7-11 and purchase a Greendot money card for $500 dollars and some "special agent" would be by to pick it up in the morning.  He asked what time I would be home and I started crying, saying I had a terminal disease, and just could not afford it.  He said I could pay in installments.....I said, "I'll be dead in 3 weeks!"  He still insisted I send the money.....I could not believe it.  I called my phone company and had his number blocked, then called my cell phone company and also had his number blocked, then I called the real DEA in Washington and they said it was indeed a scam and a BIG one.  I gave them the the number 817-768-7198 that this guy called from and hopefully they will catch these guys.....but our government moves very, very slowly these days.

person identified himself as Special Agent Christopher Randolf wanted me for questionin in illegal drug investigation.  Said there was an ongoing investigation by the US Customs Department and it was urgent he speak to me.  Said he would send officers to my house.  I reported this to the FTC and NCDOJ.  They stated this was a "ring" gong on  and at one time had 11 people in custody.  This is second time this year I got a call like this. The last caller identified himself as a DEA agent.

The Depatment of Justice told me they are all coming from out of the country.

Do Not respond to these people.

ALERT - EXTORTION SCAM - ALERT
DEA Warns Public of Extortion Scam by
DEA Special Agent Impersonators

The Drug Enforcement Administration is warning the public about criminals posing as DEA special agents or other law enforcement personnel as part of an international extortion scheme.

The criminals call the victims (who in most cases previously purchased drugs over the lnternet or by telephone) and identify themselves as DEA agents or law enforcement officials from other agencies.  The impersonators inform their victims that purchasing drugs over the lnternet or by telephone is illegal, and that enforcement action will be taken against them unless they pay a fine.  In most cases, the impersonators instruct their victims to pay the "fine" via wire transfer to a designated location, usually overseas.  If victims refuse to send money, the impersonators often threaten to arrest them or search their property.  Some victims who purchased their drugs using a credit card also reported fraudulent use of their credit cards.

Impersonating a federal agent is a violation of federal law.  The public should be aware that no DEA agent will ever contact members of the public by telephone to demand money or any other form of payment.

The DEA reminds the public to use caution when purchasing controlled substance pharmaceuticals by telephone or through the Internet.  It is illegal to purchase controlled substance pharmaceuticals online or by telephone unless very stringent requirements are met.  And, all pharmacies that dispense controlled substance pharmaceuticals by means of the lnternet must be registered with DEA.  By ordering any pharmaceutical medications online or by telephone from unknown entities, members of the public risk receiving unsafe, counterfeit, and/or ineffective drugs from criminals who operate outside the law.  In addition, personal and financial information could be compromised.

Anyone receiving a telephone call from a person purporting to be a DEA special agent or other law enforcement official seeking money should refuse the demand and report the threat.

I have gotten 4 - 6 phone calls from this same number over the last year or so!! Always the same "script"...I'm in trouble, he's sending cops to my house, etc. Funny, always a different voice but uses the same name. Got another call this morning...getting real sick of it!! Who or where can you report this scam??  Today I really ticked off the guy...pretended to be an elderly woman who, after being threatened, acted like I was having a heart attack..lol!!! He was not amused so I hung up on him while he was screaming at me!!
