Caller id shows the initials TSTA.  I tried to call it back and all it did was ring.  After about 10 rings it sounded as someone picked up and kept pushing keys to distract the caller.  No one made a noise or said anything.

It's the TSTA, Texas State Troopers Association. It's a scam "charity" that tries to rip people off. They call at lest once a month even if you tell them not to call back.

this number called i was not home.....I called back and let it ring then i guess it was the answering machine...it said "hello..hello..f*** you,f*** you" then the machine said box full...

They called and hung up before I answered, and left no message. This is particularly unsettling since I have a cousin in Arlington that is currently dying, and I am expecting a phone call from her sister any day. But I doubt that would make any difference to the leeches.

Look up the tsta the texas state troopers have a life time contract and do wonders for the troopers under the rank of sargent so get the facts before u start crying!!

tHE PHONE RINGS AND RINGS ABOUT 10 TIMES. tHEN A MAN ANSWERS, ON AN ANSWERING MACHINE, AND SAYS, HELLO....HELLO...F-YOU...HELLO. REPEATS.

Get numerous calls from this number!  If the answer machine picks up they leave no message.  If I answer they may or may not say anything, but when they do answere I have asked them not to call again only to get aq rude reply.

get several calls a day or weekly from this number. caller never leaves a message. don't know if this is the TX State Troopers Assoc. or the TX State Teachers Assoc. doesn't make any difference, the calls are annoying.

They call all the time and never leave a message.  Very annoying.  I have an invalid mother so I have to check caller ID constantly to be sure it's not her calling.

Getting calls from 817-795-1133.....never answer....they give up then after a week or so, they start bugging me again.....anyway to get rid of these guys.????

Maybe call the Texas Attorney General ?

I have had numerous calls from TSTA, 1-817-795-1133, and the last one today, I told them in no uncertain terms to stop calling me. This may not help with these people, but it seems to work with a lot of other calls that I received that I do not know the person/company, nor am I familiar with the number or area code.

The phone rang about 3 times, but when my wife answered there was no one on the line.  This is the first such call we have had from this number.  Glad to hear it is a fake.

I Keep getting calls over and over from this number.  When I answer there is only a dial tone.  I have a brother in this area code and am always concerned when I see the area code and get no response.  Weeks ago, someone was on the line, said they were raising money for Texas State Troopers.  I said I would not be able to help this time and hung up.  Why don't they quit calling when they get a "no".  They are wasting their time and frustrating me.  Makes me think they are not legit.  Are they?

I get at least one call a day from 817-795-1133,when I answer, their is no response. I have family in this area, and it would be an emergency, if they called. This upsets me.

I have gotten many calls from TSTA usually late. The times I did answer no one would speak when I answered.  Today I answered said hello and just hung on saying nothing...finally the man came on and  said why wouldn't I say anything---I told him I said hello but promptly told this the man not to call me again.  He rudely said for me to change my number if I didn't want any more calls from him.  What I don't understand is my number is unlisted. So, TSTA is using offical sources to get it???  I am complaining to the phone company, Austin complaint Line and the Texas State Troopers Association.  I have always been in support of any law enforcement but this taints my rosey regards to this group.

Two or three calls daily from this number, with no message being left on answering machine.  Having once donated money to the Texas State Trooper's Association, I suspect that they are using this relationship to overcome the "Do not call" restrictions.  We are unable to block these calls by electronic means, and I suppose they will continue to call until the number is disconnected.

For a couple of years I actually sent money to these people.  They are not affiliated with any law enforcement organizations, but they do market their fund-raising abilities to a variety of LEO's.  They fund themselves by donations, and whatever is deemed appropriate is eventually given to some Law Enforcement organization.

They finally became so aggressive that I complained about them to a fireman's  organization that was using them.  I think it was the 9:00 am call on a Sunday morning that set me off.

Don't bother calling the Texas State Trooper Association...call the Attorney General's office!

Just got another harrassing hangup (one of hundreds now) from these people. Caller ID says TSTA (Texas State Troopers Association). If the REAL Texas State Troopers don't want the whole state to think they're the bad guys too, they better stop these crooked phone banks from using their name to gouge money out of beleaguered citizens in the name of "charity". This is a CRIMINAL racket, folks. Enough is enough. Honest troopers ought to be ashmaed what is being done in their name & promoting such ill will against THEM!

Who is this? They don't leave I.D. or messages.
