Some guy called me saying his name is Daniel and he is an attorney and that I owe money 525.00 from Cash Advance USA. He wanted me to call him on Friday and get the money from my account.  he said of I don't call him on Friday he will get me arrested I hung up What should I do? To stop this! Any suggestions

REceived several calls at the office asking for an individual that is no longer employed here and the gentleman was very rude and keeps asking if i am sure he is no longer here.  It is bothersome that someone can keep calling a business and interrupt business and get away with it.

I had a man call me from this number on my cell phone, claiming that I owed $268 that was paid to my bank account on 22Jan2011. He had a frightening amount of information on me... SS#, bank, bank account number, my mother's maiden name. He called me a bi*** and said that if I didn't give him the money by 5 pm, he would have me arrested by Texas Rangers and then, later in the phone call, he was going to send deputies to my home. I asked which it was, Rangers or Deputies, as Texas Rangers do not have jurisdiction in FL. I reported this to my bank and had to have my account locked down and restricted so that even I cannot easily use it. Very inconvenient. The deputy suggested that I change my number. I've had this cell phone number for more than 10 years. No way! Don't give in to these psycho terrorists! Fight against them. Tell them to never call you again. It takes a lot to prove a harassing phone call. Therefore, why don't we all start calling them, harassing them, telling them they owe us money and we have called our local law enforcement, bank, FTC and federal law enforcement and that we are looking to smash them. I told them to try and call me back at their own risk. This is crap! Don't let these punks get away with terrorizing good Americans from a foreign shore. Call them whatever you like. They are plugging into a service called magic jack, which can't be traced. Abuse them back. You have a right to ask for a verficiation of a debt. Also, being a debtor is a civil matter, not a criminal one. The guy first was with an attorney, then a debt collector, then with the Texas Rangers and Deputies. These guys will look up your address on Google Earth or other GIS software and tell you they are right outside of your home and even describe your home to you. They are full of crap. You don't owe them anything, except a swift and nasty hang up. The deputy also said that proving harassment or harassing phone calls is next to impossible, so go ahead and serve it right back to them. Under no circumstances should you give these leeches your hard-earned money! When I received the call, I immediately googled the number and found all of these testimonials.

I laugh at these people every time they try to pull this. I basically insult them until they feel like such little insignificant pieces of s***, that they either hang up on me or start screaming as loud as they possibly can. These people are garbage. They are pathetic hajis from a pathetic country. I told them they could send someone to "arrest me". I actually hope they try to send some guy that poses as some officer. After I ask to see the badge and I see that it is fake, I will beat that person within an inch of his life. Let's be real though. These people are cowards. That will never happen. I love when they try to give themselves American names, too. The one guy said his name was "Nash Briggs". I laughed out loud when he said that. He got so angry and hung up. If you want to have fun, just taunt these a$$holes over and over. They are nothing but scamming little pieces of curry eating s***.

This number called me for the past two weeks and I saved one of there messages from a Foreign guy sounding like he's reading a script on a piece of paper. So, I finally answered and they told me that I owed a cash advance company some money. I got into an argument with the foreign guy because he had all my information and questions I was asking he said they were not obligated to let me know , but I was going to face Criminal Charges. So I guess in 6 business days an investigator was suppose to come to my house to talk to me. I Googled the number and read some of the postings about the number, listened to the same message from 3 weeks ago thinking "those are the same a***oles calling my phone. Yeah I was pissed and returned that guys call back and somebody else answered with a different company name??? He gave me a little bit more information but when I asked him what account did the money get deposited into, he said "you took the money so you should know..." and that made me mad. I told him that he didn't know who he was talking but their number is being looked into as we speak. LMAO the guy said F*** YOU and hung up...I swear! I changed my account number but it's a scam by a bunch of a***oles.

3rd time these clowns have called...Told them to forward me the information they say I am guilty of so I can have my lawyer contact them about the situation.  They basically hang up at that point.  I even had one person tell me that they were with the NYPD and I was facing serious legal actions that I can't imagine, to call the person back and tell them I was sorry for being rude to you?  What kind of stupid people do these clowns pull this off with?

I recieved a phone call from this number today and I told him not to call anymore, he said he loved me and would not call again...crazy!

DO NOT give this company any of your time!!! I researched and they are nothing but scammers. They tried calling my work and cell phone literally 50 times in one day harassing my secretary and finally when I called them back and told them if they needed to talk about a lawsuit against me they could talk to my local police department, they hung up. I called them back and began harrassing them, to which the guy said, "Do you know how many stupid Americans we are going to scam today" then proceeded to try and say disgusting, vulgar things to me. None of it phased me, as I basically told him no one is stupid enough to fall for this crap. I'm telling you, if you let them know you're not going to fall for their s*** and you keep calling THEM, they will leave you alone.

Just got a call at work from this number.  The foreign fellow at the other end said that he was an attorney with the Richard Wright Law Firm.  (If you google the name, it shows a lawyer by that name in New York, NY...but no other info.)  The background noise sounded like a telemarketing office, and I can't think of any time I've spoken to an attorney that had an office that sounded like that.  The guy had my SSN and claimed that I had a Capital One card that I never made a payment on...I've never had a Cap One card.  I told him that I didn't know anything about this, and that I felt that he was pulling a scam and was forwarding his information to the FBI.  He hung up.

Recvd call today from this number.  The same sounding voice has called from two other numbers.  Has changed name and where he works but same threat of legal action.  I have forwarded all info to local authorities and to the FTC.  Have contacted friends who do work for the federal government and the find it funny.  The first call he stated he was with the 'Federal Dept of Justice', so I contacted the Office of the AG and left them the information.  These people will continue to use floating numbers to avoid the true legal system.  Keep reporting numbers and tell them they can contact your local law enforcement if they really want you arrested for a criminal act.

I just got a call this morning from this number telling me the same thing, and asked for my name I wouldnt give him any info, he couldnt understand a thing I said and I couldnt understand him. He said he was from Texas sheriffs office or something of that sort, I told him you dont sound like you are from Texas and I'm from Texas and you cant understand me at all!! I got irritated and hung up!

I have received the calls from this number and numerous others with the same message.  I called them back and told them that they had the wrong number but that I could give them the correct number-which I did...I gave them the number to my local police department.  I then called the desk sargent and relayed to him what I had done, he was delighted to help me and can't wait for them to call.

Received a call on my cell phone (actually they called 6 times in a row, as I kept declining the call). I finally called back and he asked who was calling. I said you just called me 6 times, you tell me who it is. He then asked if the last 4 numbers of my S.S. was ****, I said no, he asked are you sure? I said yes. He hung up. About 20 minutes later they called my office number asking for me, as I already had seen the caller ID, I said there was no one here by that name, he had a thick Indian accent and asked me if I speak Spanish??? I told him nope sure don't. He told me to go hell and hung up. Mind you it was the same person both times but he used a different name. SCAM!!!! I would call the police, but there are so many out there, there really isn't anything they can do.

gota call from them today.  they said they were from american  laaw firm so i googled them.  american law firm is not a debt collector and has a fraud alert  righton there home page.  i called the ftc and recomend that u do to.  they r scams

Been getting calls from this number to transfer to an employee.  told man no, personal business needs to be done on personal time and to not call the company any longer.  the man has been calling everyday since then and been rude lied and tried to scream at me to coneect him.  I am just the operator so i can only transfer to certain people.  employees that work on a line are not allowed calls but he screams at me everyday.  Company has blocked over 7 numbers but this jerk gets a new one and calls again.  Today he called me the C word and i told him he was being recorded he said listen B word you are too.  I said thats great let me talk to your call center mgr buddy right now.  listed complaints with "mgr"  the man said they would never call me again and that he was sorry.  Isnt it illegal to call a business and tell the operator she is cuss words and to do vulgar things to him?  Asked mutiple times for their company name they just said they were a American lol Legal company.  They have called for over 4 months now with different numbers.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone since I was at work I didn't answer I let it go to voice mail. They left a message but was hard to make out since they had a very strong accent like from the middle east. They identified them self as an officer from U.S something stating to getting in contact with them right away as I was being sued and facing criminal charges. Something about owing a payday loan which I don't. They said If I dont call back they would issue a warrant for my arrest and face federal money laudering charges. They even call me at my place of employment but when told I couldn't receive personal phone calls he told the person well tell her shes facing serious legal matter and if I want to fix them before to give them a call. I called them after work and it a recording that says " the magic jack customer your trying to reach is unavailible please leave a message. Wow didn't know the government work that way.
