They called me on my cell phone.  When I saw all zeros, I felt it was bogus anyway.  I don't answer calls like this.  She left a message and her name was Regina and that she was my mortgage servicer.  If that is true then why didn't she leave her company's name?  If this is Bank of America (stated by other posts), then why all the secrecy and blocked numbers?  I will wait and see what happens next time.

Just got a call to an OTTAWA, Ont. number -- I did not answer because the ;number was a strange number - I'd like to get a hold of the head of this company and bug him as his people are doing to us.

Same thing just happened to me. A guy says, "Hi can I speak to [my first name], please?"

I said, yes this is her. And they hung up immediately.

WTF.

Caller: Hello can I speak to Stephen?
Me: This is him, may I ask who is calling?
Me: Hello? ... Hello?  

Oh look, they hung up...

Just received the call on my work number. Asked for my name and hung up!

like everyone else is saying below... this number calls you and hangs up the second you start to speak. if you say nothing they say, "may I please speak to _______" then they hang up. it is a male, but i heard a female in the background. someone should file complaint with police.. very suspicious activity going on right now. happening to many people...

the caller asked for me by first name, when I said it's me, he hung up!! don't know who it is or what the purpose of the call is

second theres some devices for your home line that can block 40 or more numbers even ones like this, well worth the money

Number needs to stop calling along with 1-323-000-000...unless they are gonna pay my phone bill

This is a call center for Bank of America, they are calling to verify your hazard/homeowners insurance.  Most likely your loan was bought by them and they don't have your records.  They are a call center and most of the people I talk to have a thick accent(I work in an insurance office and get this call often), so they are probably based in India,etc.  Not making excuses for them, but it isn't a sales call, they just want to update your file.  If they can't reach you, they will call your insurance agent.

I do not think this is my personal website, but I am with JF on this one. Yes it is annoying as hell & to "that's what's up" it doesn't matter if it's been 6 months later or 1 year later as it is the 1st time I have visited this site. It was posted 4 times.

Rec'd the call today @ 8:14 am PST and it is Bank of America. Very nice gentleman left a voicemail with his call back number as well as an email address where he can be reached. Back in 2007, it probably would have been Countrywide Home Loans. I do not know about you guys, but I requested information a couple of days back.

Got a call on my cell phone at 11:48PM PST!!!  Isn't that illegal to call that late???  I was so irritated!  I am asleep at that time!

Keep calling... Home Loans I'm sure. I can't block number since its a fake number.... Arrrrrrrgh!!
Asked them to remove me from list and they don't. Very upsetting since they call at all hours (as late as 830PM).

Received another three calls Friday 10/24/08 from this number.  One left a message - Headquarter office for Countywide Home Loans, West Hills CA now Countywide Bank FSB.
