So I received a call from someone the number is not the one stated above it is 707-506-690 the person Identified himself as being with the Department of Legal affairs and is an attorney he would not tell me what the call was regarding but said that tomorrow which is wednesday 7/12/12 I will be arrested at my work due to an investigation he stated my ss!# and also my work.  I was very upset because I have children and have done nothing wrong except owing money due to lack of income by my husband.  I handed the phone to my husband and they hung up on him.  I went to my local Sheriffs department and had them run my Drivers Liscense and name it came back that I have a clean record and no warrants. I tried to call the company back to make arrangements to pay whatever debt this is and only got a beep and no answer, I returned the call less than two minutes after they had hung up on my husband.  I ended up having a panick attack and crying.

had a voicemail today from this number saying that I had to call them back or my attorney and if I didn't all they could do is wish me luck

This person has called my number 12 times in three hours. I do not know this number so I do not answer. He left a voice message saying that he needs to talk to me or my attorney. He said that if he didn't hear for us that he wished me the best of luck with what was to come.

I just got a call from 818-337-3042-they are calling my work. First call they left a message so I called back and it said the mailbox was full. Got another call and the man said I was going to jail tomorrow in hand cuffs.  He has my s.s. #, my bank acct. number, and of course where I work.  He also kept getting the names of the people who called me mixed up, including his own.  I just closed my checking acct. and
am going to call the police.  Very upset at work, these people hung up on me twice...very rude and would not give me any information about who is suppose to be having me arrested.  Wow, what do I do next???
Names given to me were...Alex Pinto, Michael Miller, then Alex Watson?????  Can anyone tell me what I need to do other than calling the police?????????

Received phone call at my place of employment! Scared the crap out of me, do I have to close my bank account now?

they called a teacher out my school.  the way mr John Lee sounded like he was from India with a heavy accent.  he informed me that the teacher had to call him back right away and said that someone is using the teacher's identification.  I told my teacher it sounded like a scam to me.  they need to be investigated.  The teacher said that he has no idea what they are talking about.

My wife got this call then my work I have kids out of state this is scary dont follow how they get this information and to call a persons job how did they get this stuff where is are privase

i received a call from this number today and they called my work saying i owe a payday loan, never got a payday loan and they threatened to have the sheriffs come arrest me at work.

I am 19 years old and this number kept calling my cell phone and my home phone. My mom finally answered the phone and they told her that they needed to speak to me and that it's very important. They had left me a lot of voicemails on my cell phone and I finally got tired of it so I called them back, blocking my number. They were reading my information back to me and kept asking me to verify it if I wanted to know who filed the lawsuit against me. I told them that I wasn't verifying anything and to tell me who filed the lawsuit. They said I can't tell you that until you verify the information. I said first of all, I'm 19 years old and I'm pretty sure that there's not a lawsuit against me. They said my name is officer Neil and I know for a fact that there is a lawsuit against you. I told them that I was then contacting my local police department because they kept harrassing me. At that point, they said okay and they were going to have me arrested. I hung up the phone. My dad who is a police officer called them and harrassed them saying that I am only 19 years old and you don't call my daughter and tell her she's going to be arrested. Also, even if there was a lawsuit filed against her, it's not the police departments job to follow up on the lawsuit and she would've had papers sent to her in the mail if there was something filed against her. They got mad and hung up the phone. I then googled in the phone number that they were calling from and the name came up as New York Cleaning Service. I reported them for harrassment to my local police department and they told me that I am to keep everything that I get in the mail for the next few months and to write down the date and time of when they call and if they have enough information, they will be contacting them and they will do something with them. I just hope that they stop calling me because I'm only 19 years old and I'm in college and I don't need that in my life. All I have to say is they must be really desperate.

Received a call from 818-337-3042 twice on my home phone and once at my work.  Left the name of David Miller and if I didn't call back or have my attorney call them then all they can tell me is Good Luck!  What a scam!  These people are just crazy.  Probably trying to steal the identity of anyone they can.  Just ignore these calls.  Don't give them any information at all. When I called the number back, the first time, a recording came on and said you have reached the Investigations Bureau and the voice message is full.  I waited about 15minutes, called again and the number didn't even ring! How ignorant some people are!

Just got a call from this number with the same sort of threatening message mentioned by others.  The accent was heavy, but I think the name was Thomas William.  I am going to report them to the NC Attorney General.

I just got the same message. The voice mail is full. The girls mother answered the phone and gave it to her. She asked for my name and I would not give it to her. She was upset and then she slammed the phone down.

i got a call to my hr dept and then i got the # and called them and they siad the same thing and they did not seem to relize is that i am a collector and i have to follow the fdcpa. they left third party info on my hr vc mail and that which was against the law and then they want to threaten me as well and i told they have broken so many rules inregards to collection pratices. so i want them to call me one more time and i have called the state atty gen ofc as well. They are so full of b.s.

Just received a call on my cell phone and then at my job.. saying that she wishes good luck with the situation that was unfolding on me. asking for my attorneys information and for me to give her my information. i have no outstanding loans at all. this is total bs. When i asked the name of her attorneys firm she said i should call "Michael Parks" at "the department of Legal Affairs and Investigations" - after googling i found this and other VERY similar stories...

They called my mom last weekend and my phone today stating they wished us luck with the situation that was unfolding on us. I'm not returning the phone call because I don't have any outstanding loans currently. They didn't leave their company name only a phone number which was 818-337-3042

they called me today 1/13/12 and threatened me with arrest if I did not give them my lawyers phone number so I gave them the number for the Pennsylvania Attorny Generals office

They are harassing non stop!!..

I recieved this phonecall and they threatened to sue me and wished me good luck because if i didnt call back they threatened legal repercussions. they not only left one message they left several. Please dont buy into this...they will steal steal steal....i had to close my bank account email etc.

I have been receiving these calls at home and work; it is frightening that they have all my information and continue to call me a work. That's all I would need is to lose my job... Any suggestions for making his stop and ensure I'm not a victim of identity theft?
