Getting multiple calls from this and (206)238-0148 over the past few weeks. Already called them back and told them to take # off their list. Still getting phone calls, also looked and found this site (not sure if related) http://www.searchfordegree.com/privacy-policy-2/
The email listed on this site is registered to usaonlineoutlet@yahoo.com and this registrant can also be found here: http://qwekenloans.com.ip4.bz/
Again, not sure if it's related but there are several questionable websites from same email registrant.

| HERE'S HOW IT WORKS 2012-08-01 17:02:17 Unknown |
STOP GIVING OUT YOUR INFO EVEN TO LEGIT SITES. CAUSE THEY SELL YOUR INFORMATION TO
DIFFERENT BUSINESSES.
MOST TELEMARKETERS USE AN AUTOMATIC DIALER THAT IS WHY WHENEVER YOU ANSWER THE PHONE IT TAKES 3-5 SECONDS BEFORE THEY CAN HEAR YOU CAUSE THEYRE CALLING OFF SHORE.
I ONCE WORKED AS AN EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT.
WE CALL YOU BY NAME CAUSE THAT'S WHAT'S POPPING OUT OF OUR COMPUTERS. I F YOU WANT TO BE TAKEN OFF THE LIST JUST POLITELY ASK THEM TO. DON'T NEED TO GO NUTS BY YELLING AND SAYING RUDE THINGS CAUSE THAT'S WHAT PISSES THEM OFF AND MORE LIKELY TO MAKE FUN AT YOU BY CALLING YOU MORE OFTEN. WE'RE NOT SCARED OF THE FCC BECAUSE WE HAVE PROOFS THAT YOU FILLED OUT OUR FORMS ON THE NET AND WE'RE NOT FROM AMERICA SO THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.
SORRY. JUST TELLING THE TRUTH.

I started getting calls from this # this week after buying a new iPad through the Apple Education Store & receiving the 2012 Back To School $50 iTunes card.
Coincidence? I really doubt it. Has this been the case for anyone else on here?

Call them back, ask them to remove you from your call list and then go to to https://www.donotcall.gov/. It's the National Do Not Call Registry. You will first have to register your phone number and then if they keep call you after you requested for them not to you can report them. Companies know that once you have requested to be removed they can no longer call you or they will get fined. The registry is the reporting site to them getting fined.

This number keeps calling me but leaves no message.
| Ash Kilday 2012-05-24 17:52:05 Unknown |
Same with me. I didn't even say hello, I just picked up and said "This is a work number, please take me off your list." They hung up on me before I finished talking I'm sure.

I just got my first call from this number after searching on line jobs. I always click no thanks when the schools ask if you would like to learn more about another education, but it seems they call you anyway. They can easily get your cell phone off any app or resume you have on line. I have just learned to stop answering any caller I do not recognize a number from. They rarely leave a voice mail so if you have certain amount of calls you pay for and get charged for excess you shouldn't if you don't answer the call or listen to a voice mail from them. Again, they rarely leave a voice mail. I had to block all incoming and outgoing text over a year ago due to these companies causing me to exceed my max text limit and running up my monthly bill like an extra $100 per month. I can do without phone texting and stick with emails and phone calls to avoid this. Bottom line" keep your phone on vibrate instead of ring most of the time so the ringing doesn't drive you crazy and don't answer calls you don't recognize". That is the best we can do until we find another solution.

Yes it is colleges trying to enroll you. Have you ever gone online applying for a job. If you under skilled or under educated they will ask if you want to Improve to chances at landing your dream job. Many of us filled out those forms. I can prove it because I just did it today & not more then 5seconds later I got a call. There is only one problem my phone is programmed to reject people not on my phone list :)

I just received a call from this number (818-338-2252) and I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer, let my machine pick up the call. a girl left a message saying something like " hello? hello? I know you're in there I can hear you. Call me back" and then she hung up. Was curious about who it could have been so I called back and got a recording saying it was something about search for degrees so I hung up. Weird she left a message like that! lol

I have received five calls to my landline today from 4 different numbers. 818-337-2252, 971-220-1894 a private number and a local number I didn't recognize, 951-402-0583. None left messages in my machine. I finally answered the local call and it was a woman who asked for Johnny something. I am certain these calls are originating from the same place. I believe they are switching originating numbers, trying to verify whether someone is home or at this number and just not answering the phone. A few days ago I completed a continuing education course online and there was a survey by the sponsor (one of those online education programs) at the end, I believe that's where they got my number. There was a box asking if I wanted to be contacted about continuing education programs and I clicked no, but evidently it doesn't matter!

I just don't answer the calls if I don't know the number. I am not wasting my minutes on someone who can't leave a message. If it is important or they know me they will leave a message.

Call and call and use different numbers. I went online to look for employment opps. I too clicked "no thanks" regarding a call but somehow they still got my number. Called and emailed to stop calling but they won't

this is a very obnoxious organization - they have got to be stopped - they call everyday - some shpeel about college - info never very clear and having had my identity stolen in the past, I do believe they could be as someone else mentioned in an earlier posting that this could be a group of identity thieves. HOW do they get our #'s is a question that needs addressing once figured out!!! All these annoying calls have got to stop!!!

Hey Y'all, these people are just trying to make money just like all of us, who are out of work, unemployed & looking for a JOB. So, if Y'all have looked for a job, ANYWHERE, these vultures come out of the woodwork looking to make a fast buck off ya & send you to more education when you don't have the money, ANYWAY!!. I applied for many jobs, many places, on-line & in person at agencies. But still, I'm out of work, unemployed, going broke & can barely pay the bills with S.S. & unemployment ins.
If Y'all can afford it, get a digital answering machine & turn the volume down. I let it answer the phone, instead. I check the caller I.D., then look up the number with Google. If it's anyone you wanna answer to then, okay. Y'all have fun...... GoofeeDave :o)

I helped my neighbor to apply for a job at Wal-Mart and since she doesn't the internet, I used my email address. Shortly after I began getting calls from this number, but asking for the name of my neighbor. I told them there was no one here by that name and when I asked them who they were, they hung up. Since I didn't put my telephone number on the application, they probably found it by researching my email address. From now on, I will just check caller ID and not answer this number. If they are a company for degrees they probably want you to sign up for some type of education program to further your job search.

I just called the number back, pressed "1" to speak to a representative and asked them, very politely, to take me off. The person I spoke to was very nice and took care of it...I think. Time will tell! Ha-ha!

Well Rebecca, I'm not a telemarketer, and they know that what they do is annoying so getting yelled at must certainly be a normal occurance. Ingteresting that you are on a site to find out why they are calling, but wish to express empathy. Are YOU a telemarketer or an employee of this particular company?
