Just received call from this number, heavy Indian accent, said name is David. Asked for my attorney's name, said he someone made a "financial fraud complaint" against me, but gave me this same number to call and ask for my case manager, Roy King.  I played dumb, said I don't have a lawyer, but just took the name and number.  I have had similar calls from person claiming to be from law firm, or investigator with warrant, threatening to "pick me up" if I didn't pay them right away. SCAMS!!

Yes, this is an outright scam.  Have received similar messages over the past month or so from this individual who claims to be both an 'attorney of record' and working for "financial fraud investigations'.  Others have experienced similar calls demanding money.  1. it's illegal to misrepresent oneself as an attorney (no attorney would leave a threatening message with lies on a recorded line) 2. Attorneys do not investigate fraud, a district attorney does that, and attorneys do not issue arrest warrants as they have no legal standing to do so.  

Best bet is to simply report the call as a scam to your state attorney general for investigation and to report it to the FTC.  If enough complaints come in, they may be able to trace this individual down and prosecute him.
