I have received a phone call also.  I sincerely believe it is a scam.  The gov't does not operate that way.
I hope that not too many people fall for this.  I received a call like this quite some time ago and was
ready to send money until I found it was a scam.  Also, beware of  people calling and saying you need to purchase a green dot money pack.  I was scammed over something like that to.  Like an idiot I fell for it.
I lost $440 over it.  Hard lesson learned.

Prank Call
Received a phone call at 2:30 pm on Wed 1/30/2013 stating they are from an attorney's office and
that a lawsuit has been filed against me.  They said $890.00.  I said can't I just pay it.?  They could
not give me an answer.  I then looked up the number and find that many people have received calls
from these people with heavy foreign accent.  I believe it is a scam ring and told him so.  Told him I would report number to the local police dept and have them look into it.  They called themselves Federal Bureau, not Federal Bureau of Investigation, but just Federal Bureau.  I told them that the gov't does not call
people about legal issues.

Got a message from this number...states I'm going to be sued...should speak to my attorney...I've gotten a call like this before, and spoke with the person with the heavy accent...told him...this was not a legitimate way to do business, and I would seek legal counsel, if he could not give me information about what he was calling and suing me for....he never did...I didn't respond anymore...

I got a call actually several calls and voicemail today 1/28/13. The a***s name was "John McCoy" when he answered the phone I couldn't understand anything he said besides something about see you in court and a warrant for my arrest. When I started to hit his a** with facts that's when he hung up on me. You can get charges pressed for harassment and that's what I was trying to say when he hung up on me. I'm not gonna worry about it. The FBI doesn't hire idiots who can't annunciate English words.

My parents received a call at their residence in Houston, Texas.  The message was nearly identical to the report made by "helpingout".

At 9:06 AM on 01/24/13, a call came through from phone number 818-446-6813.  The ID also said "Out of Area".  Not recognizing the number, we screened the call and allowed them to leave a message.  A man with a very heavy accent identified himself as attorney Johnny Robert Marshall.  Although he never discolsed who he was calling for, he claimed that if not contacted by "you or your attorney" immediately, a warrant would be issued for "your" arrest.  He proceeded to claim that "you" would then be arrested at your home or office immediately.

Considering my parents are senior citizens, although too savy to fall for such a scam, I was especially concerned by the threatening phone call.  I also worried about others possibly falling for this scam.
I called our local police department (non-emergency line), and was told that there was not a particular agency that I could report this to.

I hope that the word can get out about these kind of awful parasites.

Got the same phone call left as a message on voice mail about 8am CST on Jan 9, 2013.  States Attorney Robert Marshall in heavy foreign accent and that if Me or my attorney does not call back a warrant will be issued in my name for my arrest - never actually verifies who he is actually trying to reach though.  Sounds like some sort of scam.
