I too have been receiving calls from this number--decided to answer. My husband answered one time and asked similar questions.  This morning I extracted as much information as possible by showing interest--the guy stated his name as Peter Parker, had an accent with slow speech.  He told me the company was Credit Repairing Services located in CA.  He stated if I knew my FICA score and I said yes.  He stated that he knew my score was fair--from his records.  I asked him how he knew that and how he had access to my credit score--which I know is excellent.  Then he hung up stating that I was probably one of the rich people???. I asked too many questions.  I called back and the operator said that the line was disconnected.  I am on the "do-not-call" list.   Please continue to chase this number--calls all the time.

Well, I made the 1st post back in October.  Since 1/15 I have received 4 calls.  We don't answer if we don't know the #.  If they truly want "US" they will leave a message.  Just wanted you all to know that they are still trying even after all our hangups, cursing and whatever else we can do.  I can't believe the FCC or ?  Cannot stop annoying calls....I wonder if we have to go to our state attorney general??

Any ideas?

I have the same problem, this (818) 456-1234 keeps appearing, then I get a private unrestricted message on my phone.  It's 8 in the morning 10 at night, this person is disturbed.  A woman left a message on my voice mail saying hello hello, she sounds deranged.

Got a call twice from a guy with an Indian accent. Both conversations were identical because I was trying to figure out if they really had our information.  Both had bad connection.  Both times he asked for my husband by name and when I said he was not there he asked to speak to the wife of my husband.  I asked why and he said my credit score was dropping because of some bad things on it that his company can fix.  I asked him what payments were late and he said he did not know but worked with 3 credit companies that only gave him the info that it was dropping.  I said thanks for calling, I'll look into it myself if there is a problem and fix it.  He said, OK, but when should I call you back?  I said "do not call me back!"  It was just after 8:00 (Saturday!!!) so I got up and almost checked our credit score on the internet but looked into the caller's number instead.  It seems like many others have had this same experience!  I think the next time he calls I will ask him to  hold for a few minutes on the line, so we can have our FBI tracer pick up exactly where he is calling from.

Just started getting calls from this number two days ago. They call over five times a day and never leave a message. When I answer, nobody is there and then they hang up. I'm on the do not call list. They're calling my t-mobile cell.

Same deal here! they have been calling us for the past 3 days every 5 minutes over and over again. Tomorrow saturday, I am not looking forward to have to hear the phone that early.

Do NOT waste your time with your local ATT folks.THEY are as stupid as the idiots doing this calling. They can sell me additional "features" to trace this number. Tried doing this and then called the annoyance center and got noting but circular recordings. I am going to disconnect my home number!! Hit the company where it hurts...In their pocketbook. I have plenty of cell phones in my home...I HATE THESE F&*% offs calling my home and I hate BELLSOUTH/ATT even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JUST RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL FROM THESE JERKS. (SAYS NUMBER DISCONNECTED TEMPORARILY WHEN I DIAL BACK/)..SAID IT'S ABOUT A CREDIT CHECK.WHO DOES ONE REPORT THESE PEOPLE TO? AND HOW DO THEY KNOW OUR NAMES? ONE WOULD THINK THEY'D HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO (SUCH AS GO TO SCHOOL TO LEARN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE..) IDIOTS.!!

I returned home about 6:00p and by 6:30p this number had called me 4 times.  No one was on the other end of the phone on any of the calls.  Finally the last time I just hollered into the phone - "the least you could do if you call me is talk".  I never received a call after that.  I also tried to call the number back and received this message "The party you are calling has temporarily disconnected their service." How can you temporarily disconnect a phone still manage to make so many people so annoyed.

I also receive multiple phone calls from this number everyday regarding my vehicle warranty is about to run out. I told them to quit calling about 10,000 times. They even call me at night and I made a mistake and answered it and selected the number to speak with a representative and it said that it was after hours and for me to leave a message, (I was going to let them have it!) but after I pressed the number to leave a message - it said it wasn't taking any messages at that time. Today, I received another call from this company and I pressed the number to speak with a rep. and one answered immediately then I told him I wanted them to quit calling,  but right after I said "quit" he hung up.  How do we get them to stop?

I recently started getting phantom phone calls from 818-456-1234 at my work number; several times a day my caller ID would show this number but either it would immediately disconnect or the line was dead.  Finally, today, someone was on the other line.  "Rex" was calling from "Home Loan Services" in Santa Ana to reduce my mortgage payment.  I'm guessing he's calling from a generic call center for companies that purchased our information.  I work at a corporation and don't share my work number with just anyone, so I wonder how the hell he got it.  If they're paying attention to this site, they should know my phone calls are being recorded.  Also, it would probably help if they employed people who spoke clear English.

I just called my local phone company and we are doing call tracing. After we receive 3 calls from these idiots, we will formally report them to our Police Department. It, at that point, becomes harassment and we will pursue them legally. You all should do the same

I'm having the exact same issue as everyone else. 818.456.1234 will call about 3 times almost every morning around 8AM. It's always a Middle Eastern individual claiming that we have a low credit score and offering to fix it. Myself and my mother have told them to stop calling, but it doesn't matter they still do. This is a scam and on the brink of harassment. I will do my best to report them to the FCC. If anybody has any luck reporting this group of people please post here.

Calls from 818-456-1234 today went unanswered. Caller ID said "Winnetka" on the first caller ID. I just refuse to answer my phone these days unless I see and know who's calling. They can leave a message if it's important.

I've received multiple calls as well, starting this week.  Automatic dialer, when I answer, it takes them a long time to get on the line.  Asian caller (thick accent).  They want to repair my credit/FICO score. When asked if this was a "solicitation" he didn't understand the meaning of that word.. later stated they didn't want to sell me anything / no cost to me.  On todays repeat-call, the guy seemed totally surprised when I told him I received the same call yesterday and I'm still not interested, <goodbye>.  As I'm hanging up, he's still asking if I understand why they're calling <click>.  Slow learners!
I suspect the origin of call maybe International, with spoofed CallerID. <SCAM>

I had a similar phone call where the lady on the other end wanted me to confirm that at one time my credit score was under 650 and I replied, not to my knowledge.  This was obvious to me that this was a company without reputation.  I asked her company name (which she did not inform me of in the beginning of the conversation) and she told me what they do.  I again asked for their name, which she gave me as homeowner credit repair and I thanked her, told her I would report them for violating the do not call registry and asked her to take my name and number off of their calling list and hung up.

Have gotten at least 10 calls in two days. I'm tried of these calls.

They call several times a week and are not very good with English.  They ask for Kenneth and will not remove us.  306 showed up once on the caller ID.  They are calling our cell phone.  How do we get this to stop?

I also have been getting several calls from this number. At all times of the week. When I answer many times there is no answer and they will just hang up. 2 times they did answer and started a pitch on my credit report. I just told then I wasn't interested and hung up but they still keep calling. What can I do?

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THESE PEOPLE FOR THE FIRST TIME TONIGHT AT 9:45 P.M.  IT WAS A MAN WITH AN ACCENT ASKING FOR MY HUSBAND BY HIS FIRST NAME.  I TOLD HIM HE WASN'T AVAILABLE AND ASKED IF I COULD TAKE A MESSAGE.  HE IMMEDIATELY ASKED TO SPEAK TO ME- THE WIFE- BY MY LAST NAME.  I TOLD HIM SHE WASN'T AVAILABLE EITHER AND HE HUNG THE PHONE UP.  I WAS TREALLY IRRITATED WHEN I RECIEVED THIS CALL.  I HAVE CHILDREN THAT GO TO BED EARLY.  NO ONE NEEDS TO BE HARRASSED BY THESE PEOPLE CALLING ANY TIME THEY PLEASE!

I'm going to have fun with these SOB's. I got 4 clls already this morning. Strange...but yesterday I got calls with numbers 949 313 and another with just 3 digits showing up on my caller I.D. BTW...calls are via my cell phone

Got numerous calls today.  Finally cursed the guy; he had with a middle-east (India?) accent. Told him I was on DNC list and hung up.

He immediately called back and said he was going to sue me for the language I used.

I'm worried.

Our home number has been getting as many as a half dozen calls from 818 456 1234 each day over the past week, from early morning to about 10 pm. They seem to originate from an Indian calling center, judging by the accents. Usually, we let the answering machine screen the calls from this number we see on caller ID, but occasionally have answered, usually just get a machine hangup... but have gotten people on the line occasionally. They're phishing for financial information and probably sell leads to others. I can't imagine why anyone would give out truthful financial information to this outfit, but I guess there are gullible people.

We've tried to string them along with false interest and information... even had an American sounding "loan officer" call us back, but he became suspicious when asked for a full company name and address, and hung up.  

The phone company refuses to block this number... says being annoying isn't a crime.

I received three calls from this number in one day.  They only let it ring
2-3 times and hung up or said nothing when I answered.

Also, the lady at the phone company states that the annoyance call center at our local phone company will actually trace the "real" number. I am more pissed than anything that we found 4 pages of similar type crap here and this number of these idiots just can't be blocked! Oh well, I have some time on my hands to formally deal with them.
