I got called saying it was IRS and I was owed 2,000 dollars and need extra credentials to verify but about a month ago they called me saying western union 250.00 and I did cause I really thought it was IRS but more to story there a scam and I don't know how they get people's info

I just received a call and said that this was a call from the IRS and that I have a credit that is owed to me of $2000 from 2007, I called the number back and it was static and asked for my name and hung up the phone, this is the second call that I received from them.

Left a message asking for call back to " verify credentials" to collect money. Number lead to recording about an unavailable magicjack number.

I got the same irs call today! I did call the number back and all I got was an anwser machine. The irs doesn't do such!

I received a call from this number this morning. It said they were from the IRS, and I had an additional (over $2000) tax return. They would credit my account as soon as they verifed my credentials. I did not call back, I deleted the message from my phone. As the IRS says, they won't call you, but they certainly will send you a letter. I'm sure the credentials they were looking for is a bank account number, so they can help theirselves.

I just recieved a call saying I have a lawsuit against my social security number! I asked for the name of the company and a phone number to call back. I believe this is another scam and I will be calling the attorney generals office today!!!!!!!!!!

This guy named Thomas Wright called me and said that I owe money but could not tell me what company it was from that I needed to pay him $498 or he was going to send the police to my place of business and I would be arrested and have to go to CA and pay $5K. So I called my attorney right away this is a scam I hope people look this number up before giving him money.

I too have been contacted by this number.  The first time the man said he was an attorney and that a lawsuit of $5000.00 is about to proceed against me but I can take care of it out of court for a balance owed of $795.00  I told him that if he was an attorney like he said he could tell me who the plantif was in this case and what the money was owed for.  He could not tell me.  Imagine that.  Now, a few days later I am getting calls (caller ID comes up as 911) they are saying this is an officer with the L.A.P.D. - the economical crime action division and that a warrent will be issued for my arrest if I do not call them and take care of a balance owed.  I'm sorry for all who may fall for this.  At first I thought maybe it was a bill collector with warped scare tactics.  But now I see the potential for a scam ring.  The funny thing is I work for a national security company and these people have no idea what they may have just started.  Warrant, hell bring it on...come get my a** from Oklahoma and take me to California on your dime...  To all that may have received calls like this contact your attorneys about this.  Report it the the California bar association and law enforcement agencies as I have done.  The calls should stop and if not it just builds a stronger case against these people.

I've receive calls from this # from 2 brothers who are imposing as Attorneys Karl & David Cooper from Las, Vegas, NV. Karl stated that he ws this attorney who works for payday loan companies. Karl had stated most of my personal info to me. Karl threatened me that if I didn't pay him $413.00 that he was going to come to my job and arrest me, then take me to jail in California! Karl was very nasty and mean to me! Karl told me to hire an attorney and then some! Karl stated that the company had charges against me. I'm not even a criminal whatsoever! Karl hung up on me when I told him that I didn't have $413.00. I called him back and stated that I've never had a bad experience with any attorney before! I told him that he was very unprofessional, nasty & mean towards me! Karl scammed me for $100.00! Karl told me that I had to pay the balance within ! 1 week or I was threatened to be taken to jail in California. I was sent an email from Dollar Daily Deal titled" Warning: Payday Loan Scams" ! It stated how these people are imposing as attorneys threatening to put people in jail and then some! The email also listed questions to ask these fake attorneys to see if they're gong to hang up on you! So I gave it a try! I called back at this number and Karl's brother  David answered the phone. I asked to speak to Karl but David stated that Karl wasn't there. I asked David for his email & website addresses but David was hesitate about it. David ask me why did I want that info? David was shuffling around paperwork in the background while asking me for my name, what # am I calling from, etc. Then eventually David hung up on me! But they're still calling me. I pray that no one else will be scammed by thes fake attorneys again.
