Keeps calling and when the phone is answered, no one answers

they called at 8:30 PM last night - no one on line. Caller ID says Burbank, CA

That wont work, we are on the do not call list and they still call us every single flipping day. It's so annoying  and I have reported them.

They don?t answer after the first hello, I just hang up on them.  Don?t waste anymore of my time.  The problem is that I work out of my house, no not answering any calls here.  Well, unless they are calling at 5am.

Too bad the NSA can not find out who these people are and stop the robo calls instead of monitoring average American citizens. Same as above and we keep telling them no call list and submitting their company and phone number to the FCC but keep hearing the lack of budget to correct this problem is in itself a problem and all the new technology only enables them/

"Mike Schultz" (trust me that ain't his real name) called me yesterday.  I asked him the name of his company and a phone number to call back because I like to know who I'm dealing with.  He told me the company was "United Contractors" something or other (which there was no internet listing for) and gave me a phone number that turned out to be a fax line.  I get these calls from these people all the time. Yesterday it same from 818.751.5311.  So you might want to program that one into your call blocker as well.  They all start off the same way, "We spoke last year and you were very nice to me..."

I remembered this number from reading this page, many times. So I answered this time... "Hello?" "Is this XXX?" "Your number has been reported as spam... on the internet. I looked it up. Google. You are a spam call."
"No. This is not a SCAM." (Notice did not say spam like I made sure I did.)
"This is not a scam."
"Okay then."
"...free estimate on home ..." My brain tweaked at that moment!
"SEE I TOLD YOU! I told you! I told you!"
Grrrrr.....

At 9:21 AM I received this call. Of course, I run to the phone and it's these spammers. I just immediately disconnected the call.

Nothing. Quiet. I get this call so often I should know better than to answer it.

Picked up the phone, said "hello". After a few seconds - "click"

It isn't AT&T it is the telemarketing company calling you that blocks their caller ID or uses false information to send out a fake number.

Male voice called with a cheerful greeting for [my dad's name]. I asked, "Who shall I say is calling?" They said, So [diminutive of my dad's name] isn't available?" I said "Who shall I say is calling?". They hung up.

I'll try and hook them for longer next time.

Clearly came from  phone bank.  Guy asked for mike.   I said "that's me." The guy just laughed and hung up.  I just added the number to my blocked call list.

california design center? probably a scam(of shorts), but let me ask everyone this, are your phone numbers they are calling associated with any properties? maybe something that recently sold, or exchanged names on paperwork, or added a number(or contact number) to up document or file? They constantly check public record for this and it's how they get your numbers and know your names.

All  I can add is very frustrating---they call on Sunday too. This is fraud to check if you are home or not..!
Authorities, Police, FCC must do something for public peace and Safety.....How could this number become out of service when you call it back.....This is SCAM/ Fraud....Watch out people.

Tell them you have no money and you just filed bankruptcy.  That will stop them from calling.

These guys are fraud.

I get several calls each week. They never leave a message .  When I call the number back, it is not in service. Sooooo sick of these calls. I am on the do not call registry.

the isntructions that come with it are useless....but i posted on amazon how to set the time date year the process for blackilisting a number and so on...my house is finally quiet.....its almsot deafening how queit it has become

I just started looking for call blockers.  My phone only blocks 30 - filled that in a week.  What brand did you get?

ahhglad they called soi can add it to my blacklist on my call blocker...adn never hear from them again...mine holds 1500 phone numbers got it from amazon for about 59$   worth every damn penny  DO NOT CALL lsit is a sick joke...another govt agency that does absolutley nothing

Same thing - return the call and it says it has been disconnected. Next time it says "Magic Jack".

I got a missed call from this number but when I returned tha call, it said it was not a working number.

Add me to the list!!  They call 2-3 times a day.  I usually don't answer, but if I do, they don't say anything!!!  I will *69 and get the message "this phone is no longer in service". WTF????  Why call if they don't say anything?!?!
