Got the same "whats up" text from this # today, 9/25/11.  Sent back a "who is this" and got the same "wrong #  my bad  god bless whoever" response.  I know ASU grads who got 828 cell #'s while living in Boone and still have them but now live in RTP.  Obviously this person is bored wherever they live!

I just got text saying whats up also , and he is Joe, he says God Bless wrong number , and asked for picture , asked if I liked older women and said she was 36 . Now he's a girl Joe. IDK what he is up to , can't be good.

Wow.. Still at it..  JUST got a txt from this # for the first time.  Verbatim:
"my bad wrong number god bless whats your name" (HAD to laugh).  Not responding but wanted to post that this # is still spamming...

I got a text saying "what's up" as well. I've been trolling him for the past 15 minutes telling him false information. I just passed him on to my friend with a lame excuse too. He's tried asking for pics as well as lots of personal information.

Apparently he's Joe, 6'3, 235 pounds, white male with short brown hair and hazel eyes. And he lives in Raleigh. And his last girlfriend died of Lupis, but he's still trying to hook up with me.

Received a "sext" from this person!  GROSS!

Received the same message "What's up?" txt message on 3/10/2011.  I did not respond back.

Just got the same whats up text and when i asked who it was they responded with "I text wrong number! God bless!"

my sister also received the same original text and response text. Our cell phone numbers differ only by one digit...

I just got this message as well. I responded back and they said I text wrong number!  God bless!  Was on the computer and decided to google, darn I didn't know about this site

I got it too! Today is 2/28/11 @ 10:51pm.  I didn't know anyone either from this # and I happen to be on the computer to google it.  Thx to this site, I know not to be bothered and not to reply! Thx!!

I also got the "What's up?" message. After texting back and forth with him, I've discovered two facts:

1. His name is Joe.

2. He's pretty sure I'm gay.

Just got the whats up text, followed by the text wrong number lol whats your name? text.

i just got a text saying "whats up" and i replied with "who is this?" and i got no response.

Just got the "what's up?" text from this number.

Just got a test with the "what's up?"  When I asked "who is this?" I got back "Text wrong number lol whats your name?" I then sent "I don't know anyone in Hickory." which is where this number originates from, it is a verizon cell number. And I got back "Ya my bad"

Got "what's up" text too.  I'm in Raleigh and don't know anyone in the Asheville area.

Received the "what's up" text (Oct 22). I know a number of people in the 828 area code (western NC) so I almost replied, until I saw these posts. I live in Apex, NC ... close to the person above from Cary.

I just received the "what's up" text and like a dumdass I responded to it. Anyone know if this is a scam or a virus?
