If you go they will basically try to sell you something similar to a time share, make you listen to a 3hr presentation, and pressure the s*** out of you!!!

Actually a Ford Escape is a SUV, not a truck; but from where you come from, I suppose you'd be lucky to have an ox cart. Honestly, how you people fool anyone is beyond me.

Maybe it would be easier if you posted your response in Hindi.

Steve.....are you some Indian speaking man with a very "american" name? My husband just received this phone call from a different number and gave him a different location. Funny how they never said my husband's name just asked if this was the owner of the phone number. Ridiculous.

Prize Offers: You Don?t Have to Pay to Play!
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel17.shtm
excerpt from FTC CONSUMER ALERT
A Dozen Ways to Protect Yourself
The next time you get a "personal" letter or telephone call telling you "it?s your lucky day," the Federal Trade Commission encourages you to remember that:
1. Legitimate sweepstakes don?t require you to pay or buy something to enter or improve your chances of winning, or to pay "taxes" or "shipping and handling charges" to get your prize. ( or Charity as the scammers claim)
If you have to pay to receive your "prize," it?s not a prize at all.

It was an indian guy for me. He talked about how I bought a sony product around christmas and filled out something with my number and I won out of 50,000 all i had to do was go to this place which he never told me where, had to be of 27 years of age and in a relationship. The four prizes were a 32" HD Plasma tv, $2500, 2 night vacation to Orlando, and a ford escape....
| Kelly 2012-06-25 20:45:10 Unknown |
Yeah I just got this call too.. Same thing, Global Groups and I won one of four prizes for some COUPON I supposedly put my cell # on ( I RARELY use my cell # for things, only things like work and doctor....so I cant believe I put my cell # on this *coupon* that I dont even remember) Call the claim center at 262-822-4942 but then I had to go to 1425 Tri State Parkway Suite 130, Gurnee IL
The guy I was talking to spoke really bad English and kept repeating himself. Said I just had to go to pick a prize and it wouldnt cost me anything but my SO got this same call last year and its one of those things where you have to go listen to some travel or vacation thing...
UGH now he keeps calling my cell #.. lovely

Scam. A woman first said I won one of four prizes from a sweepstakes that I filled out, but couldn't tell me where or for whom. This was my first clue because I never, ever fill out sweepstakes. Told me they were calling from "Global Groups" promotions, but a quick internet search while she was on the line confirmed there's no such company. Figured it was a scam and got as much info as I could... They gave me a call back number of 262-822-4942 and they told me to go to 415 Broad Street in Lake Geneva, WI Suite 104 to claim my prize. The VERY Indian man who was speaking told me his name was Jacob Webber. I told them I would call back to later confirm. Ha. SCAM.
