I've been getting calls from 828 432-9768 to my cell phone about an auto warranty that didn't sound right, so I Googled the number and found out others have been getting the same 'scam' calls from the same number.

they call several times per week with auto warranty sales recording. when i trial to dial back, its says the number is disconnected.

I have no warranty with anyone on any car, so this is a scam.

Rec'd "missed call" for this no. on August 7, 2008.

Got a call from 828 432 9768 and I didnt pick up and Im glad I didnt cause now that I googled the number I found out its BS. I was gonna call them back, lol cause Im planning a wedding and thought it might be a vendor calling. Im glad I found this site. I have At & T and Im in CA.

Received a recorded message on my tmobile cell informing me that it was my second notice of my auto insurance expiring. Total nonsense, I hung up. I really hope no-one falls for this.

Received a call from this number, said Gomez for name, I called back and said was a non working number??  Within 10 minutes of the call??

I get these calls on EVERY phone I have...home phone, cell phone, even the emergency lines at work! (I work for the fire department!!)  There has to be SOMETHING we can do!
I hope everyone knows about donotcall.gov, the "do not call" registry!  People should register their phones that way if they continue to get phone calls, you can report them!

I just read in the paper this morning that most of these calls are scams trying to steal personally identifiable  information, especially when the caller ID is a false number or if they hang up when you complain.

Another auto warranty call.  I've heard on the radio it's a scam.  This was on my cell phone.  I don't answer if I don't recognize the number.

Didnt pick up the call. Guessing its another scam. They didnt leave a message.

Tell caller to take my number off their list. They hang-up on me!! call at least 2time a day

They keep calling my home number and now my cell phone...I told them to remove me from the list, which is what they are supposed to do legally when you say that, but they don't.  I just got another call on my cell and I told  him that I don't qualify, which is what I always say, and then they drill me, why don't you qualify, and I say because my car has many mechanical issues. I am being honest and if the company is legit they can't warrenty your car until it's fixed.  so, the agent started arguing with me and then he hung up..I was shocked..I never raised my voice and I could have easily hung up on him. I did ask to speak to his supervisor and that's when he hung up on me. I tried to call the number back and it says disconnected.  I wish there was a way to stop these annoying calls and rude people that need to get a life.

Got this call a couple minutes ago, didn't answer. Guy must have started dialing again since everyone is getting calls right now

just received a call from this number and thought it was fishy.  I googled and saw that all of you had the same experience too...Automated recording telling me this is my last warning to renew and then guy answers and asks for year, make, and model of my vehicle.  I asked him what this was all about and he hung up.  I then called back and it was a BOGUS number that was disconnected.

It doesn't matter who your phone service is with or where the phone is.  My husband & I have two different cell services, our home in Southern California and three vacation rental properties in another state.  We have received these calls on all the numbers!  Just hang up, it doesn't have anything to do with your car.

What we can do about it? there's any way to stop those f%^&$$ from calling ??
