Don't stress about this garbage people, it's going to happen, just don't answer the phone. If it's important they'll leave a message. Who knows how they got your number. It could be random luck or some computer that just dials random phones. In my case, they dialed my work number that isn't even a phone. The calls drop into my computer.
It just says Poteet Texas. I thought they were going to offer me some strawberries.

It just happened to me too. That's why I did the goggle search. Looks like a spam then. I did not answer though.

I received a call from 830-635-0059 and I get a message sounding like: the number you've called is not in service...I'm supposed to be on the nat'l no call list. According to Google search, the number originates in Poteet, TX, (close to San Antonio).
O NO!!! 2013-07-23 18:25:06 Unknown
I JUST GOT MY CHL AND SINCE I HAVE TO REGISTER WITH TEXAS.GOV THATS THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK MAY HAVE STARTED THESE CALLS....JUST A THOUGHT... :-)

Actually, 210 is the area code for San Anronio. 830 is an area code for surrounding counties other than Bexar Co. where San Antonio is located.

how could I be paying to much for my insurance, I don't have a car, as I can walk everywhere I go.
another one 2013-07-11 16:52:17 Telemarketer
Recorded message saying that the call is from the Department of Motor Vehicles with a message about how "you are paying too much for auto insurance" and how, if you stay on the line, you can take advantage of lower insurance rates. Of course it is an unethical person or company trying to sell something using scare tactics while trying to sound official.
Area code 830 is San Antonio, TX and surrounding area.

you're thinking a little too hard. they do call when the cell phone's off, the number just wont show up unless they reach your phone, which doesn't happen if it's off. the only way you would know is if they leave a message.
JLH 2013-06-28 18:18:20 Unknown
Did not recognize number, so I did not answer. Did not leave a message, and after reading comments I assume it is SPAM.
marc 2013-06-14 23:17:43 Unknown
i can't stand it when i accidentally leave my phone on and somehow i guess through some kind of cell phone gps locator thing that these spammers or unwanted callers have they see who's phone is on and available and who's isn't. it never fails. if i shut my phone off then i don't get any of these calls at all. but why should i be afraid to ever turn my phone on? why the f have it? but the minute i turn the phone on, then they see it as an opportunity to call me. so it must be some kind of device that looks for cell phones that are on, i'm thinking.
