Called me and asked for the senior most person in charge of IT.  I gave him the phone number to the White House and hung up.

I think he works at the Quik E Mart.

A very hard person to understand and will NOT hang up the phone and will not tell you what he wants, he only wants your full name to make an appointment and when I told him no im not giving you a name he hung up

Got a one-day break from the 4-times-a-day calls.  Answered yesterday and spoke with "Curtis" purportedly from JDA (see earlier post).  But now a day later got another call from same number 830-637-7238 so it starts again.  I answer and this time it is ?Kevin Murphy? (with an Indian accent) from IMTS.   I challenged him that yesterday a call from this same number claimed to be a company called JDA and now he claims it is IMTS.  Went round and round about whether it was from this number and how that could be (as if I didn?t know).  A number of times he attempted to start his survey, ?Well, can I just ask you a few questions?? but I kept asking for a website I could look at before answering questions and a phone number or email address to call him back.  He told me the company could be found at IMTS.COM.  Fine, I?ll check it out and give him a call back when I know more about IMTS.  All told I burned six minutes of his time as I would explain I could not answer any questions about our company until I could confirm he is who he claims to be and have opportunity to look into exactly who IMTS is.  Yeah it burned six minutes of my time too, but it felt just a little bit good to hear him get frustrated that he basically couldn?t get past the fact that he was actually lying to me about who he is.

I did not pick up.   They did not leave a message.

Have been getting calls from this 830-637-7238 number four times a day consistently for the last two weeks but have never answered it.  They've been ringing my phone exactly four times each day, usually about within half an hour of 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.  

Today I finally decided to answer it and play along to find out what the storyline would be. "Curtis" (with an Indian accent) says he is with JDA.  Says that Mr. ________ (the correct name of my company's CEO) had communicated with Curtis and that our CEO had suggested that Curtis contact me as the VP of ________ (providing my correct title).  He wanted to setup a meeting between me and his manager, James Stafford, next week to discuss JDA's product.  I told him I wanted to review what JDA has to offer by looking over their website first.  Only after that would I decide whether or not to setup such a meeting.  Curtis told me JDA's website is JDA.com.

I asked for James Stafford's phone number and Curtis gave me the number 830-637-7238.  Curtis suggested he could email the correspondence between JDA and our CEO for me to review.  I declined telling him that our company policy doesn't allow us to give out our email address to cold callers.  He said that it's not necessary for me to tell that because he already had my email address, it is _______ (reciting my correct email address).  I said nevertheless I'd prefer not to receive email until after I had opportunity to review the JDA.com website and I would contact James if I was interested.  I asked if I could get James's email address and he told me his address is david.stuttard@jpa.com. Doing a Google search of the Name "David Stuttard" with JDA, of the name "James Stafford" with JDA, and of the phone number 830-637-7238 I couldn't find anything.  

JDA (JDA.com) does seem to be a major and reputable company dealing in areas that would be applicable to my field, so clearly between this fact and all the other details Curtis provided, this seems a fairly targeted cold calling campaign.  Still there is no way our CEO directed them to me without letting me know.  And it ticks me off that they call incessantly sometimes leaving stupid phone messages of nothing more than half a minute of music.  

JDA do you really think I'm going to be inclined to use a company who uses a lying, bothersome, cold calling service based in India? Guess again I'm putting you on my blacklist.  If it?s up to me we WON'T be giving you any business.

The lady who called from this number was really hard to understand, she had a very heavy accent.  She asked for someone in our IT department, so I sent her straight to the voicemail of one of the IT managers.  She then called back, because she couldn't understand what his name was on his message.  I said I could transfer to the extension, but wouldn't really give her any information.  I transferred her back to his voicemail.  She then called back again, but I just picked up the phone and hung it up.  Hasn't called back yet.

Called twice today, left no message. I'm going to answer next time and order some Indian food to go.

Calling asking for people who aren't here

This guy has called me every day for the past month.  He speaks little english, i can hardly understand him and apparently the, "take me off your call list" request doesn;t get through.

I yelled at him today and he hung up on me.  I had a good chuckle at that one.

calls every day for several months from 830-637-7238.  same questions about white papers and IT garbage.

I also got some music when this number called my job. I stood on the quietly just to see if anyone would answer. When the music stopped I could hear someone dialing on the phone. Probably a call center.

Received a call from this number multiple times. He would not leave a message. His name is supposedly Raymond from a company called IMTS. Told him our company is not interested and to remove us from their call list. He replies with "I'll just call back tomorrow". Annoying and apparently cannot understand English. Block immediately.

Man with heavy accent has called 6 times in a row asking for random employees.  he seems to have a list of employees names.  Very odd that he wants to talk to them about their sales and marketing procedures.  sent him to automated customer services after the last call he can barley speak english

Woman with heavy accent called switchboard and asked for Sales mgr.  I asked her what divison of sales and she couldnt understand what i was asking.  So i asked her what specifically was she calling about and she said she need the mgr to ok email marketing???  I suggested she take the mgr off the list and call the vendor support team lol

This person calls me almost every day. They've been calling for over a month. They leave no message and unless I can identify you I typically don't pick up. If it's important they'll leave a message which this person doesn't.

Caller ID simply says "wireless caller". This, and the fact that they never leave a message, is enough for me to ignore.

Going online I found this site which confirmed my suspicions.

Same story here. No message left so I called back. The message I got was that the line was currently unavilable.

I got a call from this guy several times in the last few months.  It's the same guy with a thick Indian accept, but with different names each time.  The last time he called, he claim his name was Mark.  I keep telling him not to call, but he keeps calling.

Jenny from INTS had a very heavy accent and couldn't speak English beyond low to moderate and she couldn't understand it either.  She wanted my boss, the CIO, and would not tell me what she was calling about except "IT" and no details.  I told her not to call us again.  I called the 830 number and got a recording of the number being temporarily unavailable (no company name).  Then about three hours later, she called again and got my vm.  When I checked my vm, there was noise and a quick hang-up.  This is very annoying, yet we all know that we all need an income to survive.

Randy from INTS, wanted to find out about the management or something like that.  Pretty annoying.

Caller said his name was Daniel from INTS. He had a thick indian accent and said he was doing research for a White Paper and needed to know my experience with recent storms and power outages.  Insisted that I answer two questions and that he needed to know my personal contact information to document his White Paper.  Refused to answer and asked him not to call again.

No message left, just music. Called back and recording says "the number you have dialed is unavailable" whatever that means.

Have gotten repeated calls from this number and have not answered. When I try to return the call a recording says the "number is temporally unavailable"

Has called several times (we have caller ID).  After looking the number up here, I never answered it until today. Very thick accent, asked for the CFO. He said he was doing a research study on some IT topic. Luckily our CFO has little to do with IT and our company policy is to not participate in surveys.  Hopefully that is the end of it.

I've gotten a call from this number twice now, although I didn't realize it at first.  The reason I know is because they got my voice mail and left the "on hold music" in my mail box, and I remember the music.  Whoever this is apparently wasn't trained on how to use their phone system properly

Same thing that Mark mentioned, This guy, Neil called me claiming he is calling from IMTS asked job title of my Manager. I didn't provide this since it sounded Fishy.

Got called from this number 4 times now....the person makes no sense and I hang up...going to put on a blocked # list now.

Someone (said his name was niel) called me from this number and said they were with IMTS. He had an Indian accent and wanted to know what my title was? When I asked him to explain why he was calling he said something about asking some questions and that it would only take a few minutes.

I insisted on finding out his purpose and asked whats his company website and he answered but I could not understand what he was saying. Eventually he asked to talk to my IT department. I said no unless I knew why he was calling and he eventaully got upset and said he had wasted enough time and would call back later.

I wasn't trying to be rude but he was asking questions and I couldn't understand him as his accent was too heavy.

Funny thing is to get me you have to enter a extension.

I tried calling the number back and got a message saying "the number you have reached is temporarily unavailable." Very fishy.
