Called to speak with someone not at home. I asked to take message- he said it was about  civic issue and would call back- will not answer next time

I Googled the number and the result is in the message I posted today!

This number called on 01/21/2014 @ 5:20 pm we let it go to voice mail. No message left. Caller ID says Mike Parrotta.  He called again today @ 5:21 pm, m husband answered and said hello sevral times, a man with a deep voice finally came on the line and said hello, my husband said his number was on our caller ID from 01/21/2014 and he said he hadn't called our number and his computer must have made a mistake...he never said who he was or where he was calling from. My husband told him to take out number off of is calling list and he hung up.

I just got a call from this name and number also.

I received a call from this number on 2/12/2013, received the same call/context on about 5 occasions. Caller ID days Mike Parrota...I recently moved and this is weird!

Well, I am King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, and I'm a great guy, too.  Totally legitimate, and lots of people know me personally.  Send me some money and I'll put it to good use.  My address is #3 Lane of the Deformed Chicken, Matamoros, Mexico.  Use your credit card.

This is not a scam. I know Mike Parrotta personaly and he is the presedent of the South Carolina Professional Firefighters. And he is a great guy and this is completely legitimate and the money goes for everything they tell you it does. so maybe you should check further before you write stuff on the internet. Maybe that's why it hasn't been shut down.

Mike Parrotta just called my house.  Didnt answer it, i let it ring, but, he didnt leave a message.  Googled his name.  Lives in myrtle beach south carolina and he is linked to the fire department.  They have no right calling our landline and asking for donations.  They should NOT BE ALLOWED to do that.  It happens to me all the time and something has to be done.  If it wasnt for my caller id on my phone i would of answered it.  From now on, if i get any more phone calls like that im going straight to the police.  That is "Soliciting" and im not going to allow it.  People should be ashamed of themselves calling and asking for donations. If we can not solicit around town, they, shouldnt be allowed to do it either. I am even on THE DO NOT CALL LIST.  They still call.

Just got a from this Mike Parrotta pick up the phone I immediately requested the company he represents and reason for calling.  Mr Mike Parrotta hung up instead.  Area code is for South Carolina, exchange number 215 located in Greenville SC.
Guess Mr Parrotta is up to his tricks again. Careful I will track you down through the internet.

I received a call from the guy at 843-215-5293.  He identified my company and asked if I owned the company.  He then asked about the weather.  I asked him to get to the point and then he hung up on me.  Not sure of the purpose of the call.  I called back via caller ID and there is a voicemail talking about fire fighters.  He previously identified himself with a faternal order of police.  Weird.

I have received numorous calls from this number and a message is never left. Does anyone know how to get off of this callers list?

It looks like this Mike Parrotta guy is now calling Washington state. I got a call, and the man on the other end said, in a very militant tone, "Are you (my name) at (my address)?" I said, "Who's calling?"

He gave me a name that was not Mike Parrotta, the name on the caller id.

I said, "Please state your business." He responded that it was a civic matter, not a commercial one.

I said, "I never respond to telephone solicitations."

He hung up.

I'd like to report him.

Received a rude, pushy call from this phone number saying he was "Marvin Booth" with "Community Welfare" something or other. Kept asking for the owner's name and hung up when I wouldn't give it and asked him his purpose in phoning.

He has called us a few times. We have caller ID and don't answer. So annoying!  We are in SC.

My caller ID also states Mike Parrotta...No one spoke so I hung up?????

Our company is Washington State got a call from this guy. He called and confirmed our address and and wanted to speak to the owner. My staff is now under direct instruction to hang up on this scum the next time he calls.

I don't know if the name is real, but I know the identity they claim, as well as the story they tell when I answer is not real. Each time I speak, the caller has a different voice, accent, etc.
When speaking, I hear other callers in the background similar to a call center. The person claims to be from the local fire dept, but after questioning it turns out that he is gathering money for a S.Carolina Fire Dept.  Then after being told that I have previously checked with the department he is referring to and they don't know him, he changes the story referencing a local community drive - local to him I assume.

What the guy wants, is to record your voice reading off your c-card number, a verification of your address, and a recording of your voice saying "yes".  - I'm all for helping the police & fire dept, but this guy is a scam. - Don't fall for it, Report It.

Note: The Mike Parrotta they refer to is: Mr. Michael Parrotta, President of the Myrtle Beach Firefighters Association he is a valid and respectable person, you can search for and contact him yourself. He is not in any way related to this phone number or this scam business.

I got a call from him today from this number. I lived in WA state and have a WA state area code but from SC and know that 843 is charleston area. So I asked him why he is calling me from 843 claiming to be in WA state. Mike Parada then told me he is in West Palm Beach Florida. Anyway I told him to never call me again but I think it's some weirdo who wants to mess with people vs. a scam since it goes to a cell phone vm instead of rerouting to a call center or a busy signal.

He called me an hour ago. Did not pick up. I run a small business but he called my Illinois phone number not my google voice seated number.

I just got a call from this number also, and my caller ID said "Mike Parrotta" as well.  I did not answer and there was no message.  I hate it when numbers are spoofed.
