This number called and left a message but sounded like they were in a wind tunnel or hurricane. I could hear them saying something about a 1-800 number to renew something or other. Couldn't make out any of the other info.

Ok,
I'm also getting calls from this number... The call comes in every day between 9AM-11AM... I answer and there is no one on the other end... I finally gave in and called them. I spoke with (of course Shaniqua, what a name)an agent. She advised me they will remove my number from their calling list but there is no telling if the call will finally stop.
I do not have service with Suncom nor I ever had any..

It's true. Suncom is becoming aggressive and calling people who are less than a week past due on their bills. This is most likely due to the fact that they know they will lose many customers when their T-Mobile merge is complete. They are attempting to collect as quickly as possible for every billing cycle. Don't bother to call customer service to complain; I've tried and they just scold you for being late. I urge dissatisfied customers to use the upcoming merge with T-Mobile to escape from their contracts if they dislike their treatment. Be aware that you do get the opportunity to opt-out of any new contract before the merger completes! Be aggressive in calling customer service about this, though.

Have received several calls from this number this week. Have never made a payment late with Suncom (I only found out this was Suncom by this Google search). I will NOT renew my contract that's finally run out. I don't appreciate Suncom using MY minutes for telemarketing.

This is Suncom. They call from this number when your payment is late. They used to just send text messages, but apparently they just added this.

They left a message for me to cal 800-465-8078, which is Suncom. I've never had Suncom. I've had this number for 2 1/2 years (with Cingular). Suncom can't find this number in their records. Have requested twice to have my number removed, but was informed it could take up to 90 days.
