they are calling... no messages....

At my place of work, we continuously receive phone calls from this  number and NO ONE will talk they just breathe in the phone and hang up. They get the same answer each and everytime they call and once they hear were a group home they hang up....but continue to call multiple times/day. You would think with us answering with our facilities name every single time they would quit calling but they do not. they just keep calling and hanging up.

They are now calling a place of business. The caller ID says "Sterling Jewelers", found in Chicago. I am not in Chicago, nor did I purchase anything from a jeweler. Now what?

MAYBE they have a wrong #  "YUP"...it IS a pain in the A-- when a bill collector calls YOU thinking they have someone else...they are not ALWAYS accurate  (idiot, I think was the name you used??)

I keep getting calls from this and another 800 number. they call at all hours of the day and night and multiple times during the day.

I have no outstanding debts but they are calling at my job.  Whenever I answer with my name and company they immediately hang up and will not remove me from their call list.  Very frustrating!  I cannot even call them back because I get a busy signal.  Very unprofessional!

I also have received calls from this company with 330-252-4654 and 248-552-1092.  So not all of us are idiots, nor are all of us not paying our bills.  They are calling my number to contact a complete stranger.  I understand their tactics, I just don't like being on the receiving end of it, particularly when I have never dealt with this company.

i got this call 2 today. first time was from this number 4103210626. its from kay jewelers collection dept. it might be 3rd party, but i would call kay or any company you have an account to figure it out.

I get the same call.. it is from kay jewelers saying basically that I am late on a payment... a lot of jewelers use the same collection area... fyi for everyone

I've had at least 10 different numbers calling me at least once a day for about 2 weeks or so. I don't pick up unknown numbers yet NONE have left messages. I checked this site to check most of them and it seems all those numbers are from the same types of company (jewelers). Thing is I have never in my life used any jeweller. Ever. I thought perhaps someone used my number by mistake or maybe on purpose on a form somewhere? Or since my number is from Metro PCS and they recycle numbers perhaps my cell number's previous owner had used a jeweller and now has defaulted on it? I've had this number for almost 3 years now and have never had this sort of thing happen. I've no idea but I plan to pick up the phone the next few times they call and find out. But to me this all sounds too fishy to me.

I got several calls from this number as well. I called Kay's directly after reading that some of you thought it was a scam or Kays collection. It is from Kay's collection department. They use random numbers so that you don't ignore them.


They are legitimate and they are calling because you are behind in a payment. I paid my firs tpayment for the jewlery at the store, turns out the store applied it incorrectly, so they thought I had missed a payment.

They have called me at work several times but hung up at without saying a word when I answered, "City Attorney Help Desk, may I help you?"  I have no creditors so don't tell me to pay my bills and these calls will stop.

We are called a few times a week, and sometimes a few times a day, by different phone numbers.  We do not answer the phone, because only 2 friends have this phone number so we know it's nobody we know.  It is very annoying.  We have absolutely no debts.  Have never dealt with Kay Jewelers or any other jewelers.

The phone numbers except from 843-448-2569 (more than once), are 724-225-6905, 928-669-3035, 804-364-0306, 425-774-1351, 732-625-7814, 817-251-8206, 231-798-1059, 330-666-1058, 410-321-0626.  It's probably all the same scammer.  I would like to put a block on all of them, but they probably have MORE numbers!  Shame on the phone companies that let them keep using those numbers!!  They must know they are being used to harrass people.

got this call saying I was passed due to a company I do not used.  she wanted bank info.  I am current with my jeweler-was just there..lol.  she has not much info.  SCAM.

I usually screen my calls very carefully but when the same numbers kept calling me for a week, several times a day, I thought I would find out why.(yes, they were using the same numbers that others posted here) When I answered, they said that they were from a certain jeweler (NOT Kay tho). They knew my name and the address that I had given the jeweler when I applied for credit, but certainly these show up in credit reports, which many unscrupulous people have unfettered access to credit reports (as documented in "Maxed Out") Perhaps this was a legit call, and yes, they were willing to "work with" me, however it seemed too scam-like and I would rather pay my bill at the store. Since they are calling from multiple states and claiming to be different companies for different people, I would highly recommend not giving them any credit card numbers - work with your creditor directly.

For those who say "Pay your bills, you won't get calls....", so WHY are they calling my 15 year old son??  Also, I have NEVER done business with Kay Jewelers and have done NO business with jewelers in 10 years.  THIS IS SOMEONE SCAMMING AND POSING AS A COLLECTION AGENCY.

This company does use many phone numbers for collections purposes.  But, I have found them to be the most friendliest of all collectors if you make payment arrangements ... they WILL work WITH you.

They have called me several times, all from different numbers (from SC, NJ, and WA), with the same result: I answer and they hang up.  I did get to talk to one person and found out that they claim to be from Kay jewelers, but they have no other info than my phone number, not even my name. Smells like a scam. There is no way i owe any money, Im only 14!

There is no whay its a collection call.....They call me on my work line and nobody here has worked with Sterling Jewelers...all they do is call about three times a week i pick up and they hang up immediately. It's BS and a waste of my time.

I know I owe no bills.
