I just had this person or bot or what ever contact me requesting duct cleaning service from my company. Deaf sup hmm never heard of tad phone service I guess. Seemed to familiar. I once got arrested in Missouri for cashing one of these checks from a scammed line this who wanted to buy my van and have it shipped. I say locked up for 9 months! Don't fall for the scam people the number can be skip traced to Guana in Africa one of the leading fraud countries in the world.

This person is not only targeting mk, gc but scentsy as well...received an email from this person today.I ignored it and notified all my team and others on fb pages...rule of thumb, you should always go with your instinct, but always research. The email that is being used now is breannascott11@hotmail.com.

This person also called me to place a Mary Kay order.  Claimed she was deaf and could not work with any local consultants.  Told her not a problem, I'd be happy to place an order for her.  Then she tells me she needs to send money to her daughter who is getting married (sound familiar???), but the place she sends money thru will only allow her to send one check.  Uh huh....Red warning flags rising!!  When I asked her for her address to save her the time and money of sending me a check, she told me she lived in Florida.  I LIVE IN WASHINGTON STATE PEOPLE!!!  She can't find any local consultants in the whole frigging state of Florida and she wants to work with someone 5000 miles away.....  I did a little digging.  Yes, if you take this person's check, and your bank doesn't recognize it as fraudulent they'll cash it for you.  By law, they have to release the funds to you within 2-3 days.  Then, being the nice person you are, you send her daughter the money for her wedding.  But wait... when they find out the check is fake, guess who the bank is gonna come looking for to get there money back from... YOU!!!  
Please people be careful!!  Unless this is a trusted family member or dear dear friend that you completely trust, do not get sucked into this scam!!!

Just got an email from Breanna Scott through my MK website.  Figured it was a scam but I'm still glad I googled the name.  This was from a hotmail account .. reports being deaf, no one wants to work with her, etc.  Interestingly, requests text contact but didn't list a number.

The lady that was going by Linda James is now using the name Breanna Scott.  She claims her full name is Breanna Linda Scott and says she lives in Miami Florida. She is still using the same scam claiming she is deaf and being treated unfairly. She still claims that she cannot pay by credit card and only one check can be written and wants balance sent to her daughter for the wedding. ALL MARY KAY CONSULTANTS BEWARE!!!! She is using Craigslist to contact people.

I have just received the same messages this past week. Im glad I checked into this.

She called me saying she was deaf and she has had bad consultants from her area.  She wanted to order product from me and she would send me a check. Dont trust her. She still uses the name Linda James.

I am a Gold Canyon candle consultant. I was contacted by "Linda James" by email stating that she was being treated unfairly by other consultants. She said she was deaf and wants me to purchase candles and she will send a check but I have to send the remaining amount to her daughter for her wedding. Unfortunately I gave my name and address before I goggled this number and I saw all of this information on this SCAM. Please beware!! This is disgusting and I can not believe what people will do.

I told her I wass calling the police and filing a complaint.

This woman just text me from 2 different numbers trying to order and emailed me. Who can't pay with CC these days. Sorry. Don't believe her story.

These scammers claim to be deaf so you won't call them and hear their real voices - and discover their accents, or that they may actually be men.  They are usually in Africa.

What type of person acts like they are deaf, and no one is willing to help them get Mary Kay product?   I am a half wit for believing this entire sorry.  Don't ever talk to Linda James with phone number 843-474-1091, as she is a SCAMMER.

She emailed me about a month ago, and said she could not talk to me she was deaf.  Also said no Mary Kay Consultant would help her get product.... and I believed that?!  She is going to send me a check and told me of all the product she wanted....I ordered product that I will not use.   Today she texted me, and a check for $970 is coming to me for a $187 order, and I am to wire the balance of the money to her daughter.   The biggest SCAMMER ever.   I GOOGLED her phone number 843-474-1091, and Linda James is a SCAMMER.

Cyndi, I was curious if you ever actually spoke to Linda James... she told me she could only email - as she is deaf.   Linda James is a SCAMMER...I am reporting her to MARY KAY, and they should send out an E-BLAST to all Consultants not to work with this woman.

If she is not a Scammer, then why doesn't she continue to order from you.   She contacted me in September, and said she has tried to order from several Mary Kay Consultants, and no one can work with her.   She told me she is deaf, so therefore can't talk to me.   Her daughter is getting married, but where she is getting the funds to pay for the Mary Kay product, she can only have one check sent. So she is going to have the monies sent to me, and I have to wire the balance of the money to her daughter....SCAM.   GOOGLE her number - 843-474-1091.

I just got an order from 'Linda James".  I was confused because if she is a consultant, she can still order from the company and use a money order or cashier's check.
Thanks for posting this information.  She did not indicate that she was a consultant.  I am very suspicious of this kind of behavior.  I am checking on this on Monday with the Company and confirming whether she is a Consultant.  Thanks again.

I had the same thing happen to me. The lady wanted to purchase some makeup and she couldn't pay by credit card and she was deaf. I sent her the total with now response as of yet. But I believe it is a scam I just wanted to see how far she would go with the scam!!

I received a text message from 269-339-0608 indicating that she wanted to order Mary Kay from me.  She asked that I email her my email address.  I asked where she received my information, o no reply.  I also directed her to my website, indicated that I provided free shipping and would assist with any questions.  She replied for my email address.  I provided my business email.  Then received a response with an order, saying that she was deaf couldn't pay cash and would like a total price..  RED FLAGS All Over This!!!

this morning I got a text on my phone. this person wants to order some products from me. I am a MK consultant. this person wanted me to email back. which I did . then she email me back with the list  of  products she wanted. them she wanted me to email back too her . I call another Mk consultant told her about this person. she told me its a scam. So I did a little research myself. I went on face book and type Linda James. there is a person name  Linda James. she is a MK consultant  and she is from kentucky. I don't  know if that is even a real facebook profile with photo. here is the conversation from to day.
