File a police report
Call your wireless carrier (i.e. AT&T, Verizon, etc) and have the # blocked completely
Send awarness out anyway you can, like Facebook or family dinners. Make everyone aware of the scam.
If they contact you again, hang up and call the police and report harrassment. You would also state that you already have a police report.

You can also do this with bill collectors. You are only in debt to whomever you owe, not private agencies. If you owe a hospital, then you owe a hospital.

These b*****ds called me 3 months ago and harrassed me beyond anything I ever imagined! They said that I owed from a past loan, however, he did not know the name of the loan company. He said that I had 3 hours to pay or the Sheriff was going to come to my work and arrest me and I would have to pay the court costs and attorneys fees which would be over $10,000!
He did not even have my exact amount owed! Then he called back with a number. I was terrified so I gave him my debit card number to pay and initial $300 with a payment plan of $300 every 2 weeks when I get paid. He was calling from "Hopkins Law Firm" with the worst Indian accent.
After I made $1100 in payment it began to dawn on me that I have nothing in writing from them as to my debt/re-payments...
I looked up their phone number and it comes back as a Motel in Indiana!!!! I also Googled Hopkins Law Firm and called them. The woman that answered asked, "did you get a call from a man with a thick Indian accent? I said yes, and she replied DO NOT PAY THEM! IT IS A SCAM! She said that she gets several calls a week asking about it...she also said that NO attorney would ever threaten or not have paperwork on the debt...
I then filed a police report and report with my bank as to it being fraud. My bank refunded my money, BUT those Indians KEEP CALLING ME EVERY 2 weeks!!!! Right now they have called me for 55 minutes straight on both my cell and work phones!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The last time they called me, 2 weeks ago, I swore at him, hung up, called him bad names, hung up, but they KEEP CALLING! I guess because they got my money once they think they will still get it! NEVER PAY THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It truely was the scariest thing I have been through! DO NOT TALK TO THEM and they will give up...

I just rec'd a call on my cell and at work from 843-591-1812 and he indicate his name was Calvin Hall. He is even trying to get through to my manager. . I was also told that I had taken out a loan from US Cash Loans in Jan. NOT!!  I had applied but never actually took a loan.  People just amaze me!

This number 843-591-1812 is harassing me at work. Claims that I have taken on-line cash advances and that I will be arrested when I get home. When I asked them to stop calling my work they started yelling at me. Screaming.. I never did get arrested.. this is a scam. Wish there was something I could do to get them to stop calling me at work!!!!

di you ever find out any more information on that phone number. i received the same call.

Two foreign men. one named Calvin Hall. keeps calling my business phone and harassing. same as the other reports on this site for this number.

I have received the same calls on my home and work.  They are a scam.  Claims to have a claim against my SSN and when strongly questioned back regarding who they are representing they get abusive.  Claims I have unpaid obligations on an internet loan company.  Not true.  I told them I was hanging up and calling the FBI to report them and the number they called from.  They degraded to foul language and threats.  Wish I had recorded it.

Caller first asked for my employer then said wanted to talk to me.  Claimed to be from an attorneys office but I could hear the mass call center noise in the background.  Said I was being served over the phone.  I told him it was a scam and hung up.  Phishing call would be my guess.   No one is ever served in a lawsuit over the phone.  Not all of us are dumb.

Received a message from 843-591-1812 person stated that he was Calvin Hall from Hopkins Law firm.
I have received scammed calls in the past.  Foreign accent.  A lot of static.  States that there are charges against my social security number and they need to hear from me or my attorney.  Sounds like a scam, just wondered if it was one for sure or not.
