indian sounding fellow asking me all about fixing my computer.... I believe it is a scam trying to install bad software on my machine. HANGUP!! he says he is from Microsoft and they can tell I am not getting Microsoft updates.

The call showing on my ID had this #on,, V602143614000009 and I edit it came up. 1-843-603-3830.   I do believe it was international call.  I did not answer.

Caller ID had "Edisto Island SC"

foreign accent caller from 843-603-3830, said he was from "pc something or another" about my MS windows PC sending errors.  I knew of this scam from peers, this website, etc...decided to "play" along.  I told him I have 7 PC's.  Which one was having issues.  He said his "script" again.  He was calling about my MS windows PC.  I then told him I also run an IBM mainframe, was that the one?  He suddenly didn't know what to say, then actually hung up.  

When I called this number, I just got a message that it is no longer in service.  The Indian-accented guy gave me a number of 888-920-8191 (I think) to call.

They called and said they were doing an update to the computer and were trying to get information from my son.  I said 'it's a scam. and they hung up immediately.

This call came in with no caller ID just the location it originated from Edison Island, SC. Caller did not give name had a bad Mid Eastern sounding accent and started rambling on about getting a notification that my PC was running slow and he called to help me. Instant red flag, I never asked anyone for support, besides my PC isn't running slow. I knew he was Phishing and as soon as I accused him of that he promptly hung-up. Beware of this number and DO NOT give him or anyone else with the same story any info about yourself or your PC.

I answered the phone some fool who couldn't speak English  said something, couldn't understand a word he or it said. I hung up.

Received a call from a woman with a heavy Indian accent .  Advised she was technical support.  Hung up on her immediately.

Darn, wish I'd known that.  I just let it ring.  I would have liked to have gotten into a conversation with him.  I'd ask, "How would an Apple computer send out Microsoft server error messages?"

Got a call from a guy with a heavy Indian/Pakistani accent claiming that my PC was sending out numerous Microsoft server error messages.  He wanted to know if he could proxy in to my desktop to "fix" the "problem."  I said NO of course and hung up on him.  I called the 843 number (wireless) and got "not in service" recording.

Total scam to phish your passwords and bank account info.  HANG UP IMMEDIATELY!!

I have received two calls from this phone number in the last two days.  The caller ID says Wireless Caller.  I don't know anyone in this area code.  Without calling them back, I don't know if this just someone calling the wrong number or if it's a scam call.  So, I'm playing it safe and not answering the phone.
